Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great car. The technology seems to leap by decade. Especially with regard to driving dynamics and torsional rigidity. So far my biggest gripes are the following. 1). There is no stinking way to get into the trunk from the back of the car. The only way to open the trunk is to use the key FOB or the internal release lever. Personally I dont always have my key FOB with me and when I walk to the back of the car with a hand full of stuff I want to be able to open the trunk. There used to be a day when all Honda had a release lever and also a keyed latch. Basic stuff that all cars should have. 2) The HVAC system makes this irritating pulsing noise that you can hear at idle. The rest of the car is so quiet is appears quite loud. Its not just the sound but the nature of the pulsing because it feels like a pressure pulse that rises and falls. Its actually unnerving.

This car handles well, has a comfortable ride and spacious interior. Dont expect sports car like grip or tautness and you wont be disappointed. The interior is practical and well laid out albeit bland. The trunk is very large. Economy is among the best in its class and it does not come at the expense of performance. The 4 cylinder is smooth and quiet. I tend to select cars that appeal on an emotional level. This one does not. Its common, competent and safe. Costing of ownership is about the lowest for this size of car.

  • Good reliable choice - 2008 Honda Accord

I bought this car after much consideration of many models. I chose it for the low emissions, value for the money, reliability and gas mileage. Its a great car, I just miss my BMW which was way more fun to drive. Im 6 tall, and find the driving position pretty comfortable. I get 27+ MPG in mixed driving, which is pretty good although its annoying that I have to calculate it manually. (ok Im either spoiled or lazy)

I own a 2002 Honda Accord V-6. My wife had a 2002 BMW 225. We replaced the BMW with a Honda Accord Hybrid. So far we have had a very positive experience with the new hybrid. Our driving has been expressway/city street and we have averaged 32 plus miles per gallon. On the expressway we seem to get about 36 MPG. Love the car.

This car has been really great to my wife and me. I have always heard good things about Hondas but never bought into the hype. After owning other new cars, the Accord has the best ride and performance.

  • Car of the Year 1994 - 1994 Honda Accord

My car has lived up to its billing as the Car of the Year 1994. I have had minimal mechanical and car related problems while enjoying a classic car with wonderfully designed exterior features and adequately crafted interior features. My son is looking forward to retro-fitting this car to bring it back to a hotter styling but keep the same sporty and functional looks it was created with.

  • Its not a car, its a Honda - 2002 Honda Accord

After 16 years driving Ford?Mercury products, and only ONE month in this car, I would hesitate to lease/purchase ANY other vehicle until this one has been test driven. Never have I had a more solid, quiet, responsive ride than I do from the Accord. Hills which required several downshifts from previous vehicles were no problem for the Accord - interstate driving is a true pleasure. Surrounded by leather and a luxurious sound system, one of our favorite things to do is take a drive !!

  • Solid vehicle - 2003 Honda Accord

I have had my Honda Accord for about 4000 miles now, without experiencing any rattles or any kind of engine problems. It had been dependable, even in sub-zero temperatures, and so far it had performed adequately in snow and ice. More interior space would be nice, and better gas milage in the city. Youll either love the exterior design or hate it, although I cant honestly call it "Cheetah-like" (sorry Honda). My experience with dealerships was frustrating until I found Zimbrick. Perfectly suited for shorter commutes, but not country- crossing treks.
