Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

First Time Honda Owner - 2004 Honda Accord
By Angel - February 3 - 1:30 amBought Accord new six months ago. I went to buy an Altima, but it wasnt comfortable as I am only 5 feet tall. I sat in Accord & it just fit. I had to settle for the EX 4cyl rather than 6 cyl w/leather to fit in my budget (due to higher Honda prices) but heard it was worth it for reputation of dependability and resale value. I agree. Gold color doesnt show Southern dirt and dust. Handles beautifully in the rain and sticks to the road unlike other cars Ive owned including Lexus, Acura and Mitsubishi. It is family friendly, yet sporty. My 15-year old now wants one come her 16th birthday. If car continues like its going and keeps impressing me, shell get one. Highly recommended!

4th Accord, keeps on getting better - 2004 Honda Accord
By MauiHonda - February 1 - 10:00 amMy first Accord was a 1977 Sedan right hand drive (Dad was stationed in Japan). Then I drove my parents 1994 Accord in law school. Recently I reluctantly replaced my beloved 01 for a 04 because of the $199 lease. The 04 is a big improvement even over the 01. The engine is powerful, smooth and quiet. The cabin is well designed. The materials used are first rate. No rattles in the 04, the 01 rattled incessantly. The tires are bigger and stick to the road better, not bad for OEMs. Although I wanted something sexier, I always go back to the Accord. Why? because its fun to drive, has lots of room and it never gives me problems. Good price too.

Accord EX - 2004 Honda Accord
By tui - February 1 - 10:00 amI own a 2004 Toyota Camry LE and just added the 2004 Honda Accord EX to the stable and this horse can run. Its a wonderful car to drive. The steering feel is agile and very responsive. The suspension is not to hard or too soft. Theyve put a lot more feel into the car then the previous 2 generations. Ive owned a 96 Accord, 98 Accord, and a 91 Prelude. This current 2004 Accord feels very much more like the Prelude then it did the other 2 Accords. Its a great car and you cant go wrong with buying one.

Mostly disappointed - 2010 Honda Accord
By Marley - February 1 - 12:46 amQuality doesnt seem to be that great and fuel economy disappointing. Spec indicates city MPG at 19 with expected range of 15 - 23 mpg. I get maybe 15 mpg. Two months and only 1400 miles on the car, my tennis shoe or docker shoe has worn a hole in the driver side floor mat. Mat quality is the worst of any car Ive ever owned! Brakes already starting to grab and make noise now that there is 2300 miles on the vehicle. I expected a lot more from a higher end Honda and am mostly disappointed.

Safe vehicle - 2010 Honda Accord
By jme1281 - January 31 - 3:36 pmI bought a 2010 Accord V-6 EX-L less than 2 months ago. I loved the car! Then a truck turned in front of me and I was involved in a head on collision. My Accord was totaled. My wife and small child were in the car with me during the collision. We all walked away from the vehicle amazed that we werent seriously injured. I just bought another 2010 Accord to replace the last one. Now I know what a 5 star crash rating means.

Why buy anything else? - 1995 Honda Accord
By wil4713 - January 31 - 12:25 amAfter having searched for this particular model for months, I bought a 5-speed Ex with 75k miles last January. Since then, Ive done routine maintenance and replaced the 10 year old exhaust system and the brake pads (this car is very easy to work on yourself) and nothing else. My car is great to drive and is better looking than the 96-97 Accords, I think. I get around 31 mpg on the highway and somewhere around 27 in the city. The leather seats still look pretty good, and everything--everything--still works, no problems whatsoever. This is the 3rd Honda in my family and Im looking forward to 200k trouble-free miles.

This is a fantastic car - 2005 Honda Accord
By William - January 30 - 9:45 pmI love this car. Ive had it for 7 years and its my 3rd Accord. Its the newest car Ive ever owned so that does affect my perspective. However, this car is still so nice. Its amazing to me that at 11 years old, it still feels brand new. It drives amazing, has had great fuel economy, and looks great. I still get between 19-21mpg in town and 31 on the highway. I never guessed an 11 year old car could still get 30 miles to the gallon. The paint job has held up well compared to my previous accords. The only thing that had to be changed was the throttle body when the gear shift stuck. Other than that, it has been so cheap to maintain. I have put hardly any money into this car and it runs like a champ. I started with 86k miles and now have 212,000 with no problems. I would buy this car over again in a heartbeat. I hope when it dies, the new Accords are still made as well as this one.

Very reliable - 1995 Honda Accord
By MQ - January 29 - 7:49 pmBought with almost 158k miles on it. And after a little over a year, this car has given me no major mechanical issues. Only replaced front outer CV boots, and that was the biggest repair so far. I am confident that this car will give me at least ten more years of reliable service, long enough to get me through college and graduate school.

Ok for the $$$ - 2004 Honda Accord
By pocho - January 27 - 10:00 amAll said it is a good car for the price but its a bit overrated, the car is not all its made out to be, drove camry V6 for 8 yrs and liked it much better, Hondas V6 engine does not feel like 240 HP, Im not getting near the MPG advertized, and radio needs improvement, Bad experience at the dealer, they did not apply hondas incentive at the time ($500) to sales contract, after finding out there was an incentive was told "too late". 3 year guarantee period is too short compared to other makes. Built quality appears to be good, good materials and finish all around and very good interior.
