Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Best car ever! - 2017 Honda Accord

Great mileage; reliable car with very few problems occurring; good resale value.

  • Pleasant surprise! - 2013 Honda Accord

Admittedly, two weeks in the new Accord really doesnt give enough data support my positive reactions to this car. Coming out of a 2010 Honda Insight, almost any bigger car would seem vastly better. I tested: Caddy A class, Nissan Sentra and Altima, 13 Civic, Volt, Fiat Abarth, several Fords, Audi 3, BMW X1, and others. The base BMW was pretty nice, and the only real competition in my tastes, but a lot more $. The Accord Sport has a great combination of features without being overly "loaded" and the price is great. Several cars ago, my wife had a 2007 BMW 530. The Accord compares favorably in size and convenience, if not in high speed (+90) stability, for about one third the price.

  • Glad I chose a Honda - 2007 Honda Accord

I had owned a Sebring 2004 before buying the Accord. Had done a ton of research on all the cars as far as reliability and gas mileage and found Honda to be the best for the price, as I got a terrific deal. Even with the 4 cylinder, it has a lot of pep. I havent gone on a long trip yet, but the around town gas mileage is a LOT better than the Sebring!! Im VERY pleased with this car.

  • Solid transportation - 2003 Honda Accord

This replaced a 2002 PT Cruiser stick. It weighs 600 lb more, has a 5 speed silky smooth automatic and gets 31 MPGon the highway compared to 26 for the Cruiser! Ive had no problems mechanically. The heater has heat a mile down the road. The 6 CD stereo system sounds great. The 16 inch rim with Michelin tires give good traction and clearance for snow country. Controls are laid out well and speedometer lighting with large numerals are easy to see without those reading glasses. The center consol has shallow and deeper storage with a handy 12V tap for laptops. Im 6 2" and the seat doesnt go back enough and is too low. There is room enough above my head. The power seat only goes up.

  • Dissapointed with my Accord - 2009 Honda Accord

We bought Accord EXL-Navigation 5 months back. We added a few more features, including back up camera and the total cost was 28,0000 dollars. The interior is spacious and airy. The car is fun to drive. However, just within months we notice annoying vibrations with steering wheel, the door handle is tight and giving difficulty to open, the remote only functions near the car. Gas mileage is around 25mpg with mostly highway driving, that to I drive at 55-60mph. In comparison my 2003 Impala V6 cylinder was giving much better mileage than this 09 Accord, 4 cyl!! However, the most annoying fact is the road noise. I am disappointed with the value for money of this car and it is not better than GM car.

  • No surprises! - 2005 Honda Accord

No surprises as its an Accord. There is a reason why you see so many of these out there - great car for the price (well under MSRP). Dont recommend Ed Voyles Honda - they sold us a demo (4K miles) in which we found paperwork in the glovebox as we were leaving the lot that was for bodywork from an accident! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE! Dealer made it right by offering us an identical brand new Accord for same price (under $21K) but what if that paperwork had not been in glove box? Great car, great 5-speed auto trans, nice interior. Gas mileage very good, and maintenance costs should be very low, but will NEVER return to this dealer - Ed Voyles Marietta.

  • Ok but............ - 2002 Honda Accord

Dont get me wrong, I like the car very much, but had a problem with the airbag light that required installation of tons of new computer parts. The only reason I would consider another honda after that is that the dealers service was great including renting a car at their cost when it wasnt completed. I do like the car very much though

  • Oldie and goodie - 1990 Honda Accord
    By -

This is the first car ive ever owned, and I am the third owner. I got it with about 124K miles on it and ive driven for about 1000 plus miles. I am very impressed, it doesnt look like a 15-year old car. I did have to replace the back brake pads, get it aligned and one of the CV joints needs replacing. However, that can wait...but this car was well-taken care of and with proper care can last another 15 years. It is a great car for a student or family on a budget and is a steal at the price of under $3000.

  • 4 cyl surprise - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

Very pleasantly surprised by the responsiveness of the 4 cyl. Lots of room in seating area and trunk. Comfortable driving position with telescopic adj steering wheel. Attractive white on black instrument cluster. Good sound system. Traded in a G35 Sedan for improved gas mileage. Ride not as smooth as the Infiniti, and handling not quite as steady, but not bad.
