Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Good Car with Some Problems - 1998 Honda Accord
By ajc - February 14 - 11:07 amA previous posting here regarding the ERG system and the transmission led me to write this review. I also have experienced these problems and both were covered under warranty (7 year, 100,000 Limited Powertrain on the transmission). Honda knows about the these problems and will help on these items. They have extended the warranty on the ERG and will participate in the repairs on the transmission even after the warranty expires. I recommend taking the car to the dealership for diagnosis and then calling Honda customer service. All things considered, this has been a reliable car and fun to drive.

Love It - 2008 Honda Accord
By Julie - February 13 - 7:40 amThis is the third Honda in a row for me, and it looks like I will be buying a fourth. The new Accord has a lot more power, style, and room than my 2001. The look is that of a BMW or Acura TL, but for way less money. My daughter has been telling everyone that it is her car, but that we can drive it until she turns 16 in 5 years.

Not fun to drive - 2010 Honda Accord
By donna - February 13 - 4:13 amI had driven the Accord EXL for no more than a day when I began to experience a backache. This car is truly one of the most uncomfortable to sit in. I test drove the cloth seats, found them uncomfortable but the salesperson convinced me that the leather was very comfortable as it had a lumbar adjustment etc. Not so, its like sitting on wood. Wake up Honda, fix these seats. I rented a Kia Forte before this and it was way more comfortable, even in cloth. I need two pillows to avoid the backache. The road noise is unbearable on the parkway and you can actually feel it rumble underneath you as you drive.

Exxxcellent! - 2000 Honda Accord
By Tom308 - February 10 - 10:00 amThis is my second Accord. The first, a 92,was (is) great. But the 2000 seems to do everything even better. In my around town driving I average 26 - 29 MPG. On a trip, I got an astonishing 38 MPG! And this at 70 MPH with the A/C on. All the controls have a precise feel to them, and the engine has a pleasant note, although there is a good deal of wind and road noise. Why would anyone buy anything else???
