This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.

  • Slight disappointment - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my first honda. I bought the car primarily based on Hondas reputation for reliability. Since purchase, I have had one repetitive minor, though very annoying problem. The dashboard creaks and squeaks terribly on bumpy surfaces. I have had it back to the dealer three times, and they have been unable to repair the defect. For a top-of-the line model, I didnt expect this type of situation.

Buying experience was very pleasent and even though Ive only drove the car for 2 days now, I can honestly say that I am in love with it. The ride is smooth as a babys bottom, and extremely quiet. The features and "toys" of the particular package I got, are just simply wonderful. The Nav system as well as the XM sat radio are just "FUN" to use and work with. I live in south Florida and the AC is awesome.

  • Exactly What I Wanted - 2004 Honda Accord

I did weeks and weeks of research before I bought my Accord, and so far I am very happy. I compared the Accord to the Mazda 6 and the Oldsmobile Alero, the Accord had the best resale and quality for the money.

  • The Perfect Family Car - 2004 Honda Accord

A fantastic car for the money. I was especially impressed by the power of the 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine. I test drove the Camry, Altima, and Passat, and comparably equipped, the Accord is more car for less money.

Simply a great car. Bought for the wife. Lots of airbags. Good power to efficiency ratio. Low road noise.

I bought my car last January and absolutely love it. Its a very smooth ride, always reliable not to mention very sleek both exterior and interior. Also, the Honda service and parts people are very helpful...good service!

  • Good Buy - 2004 Honda Accord

After a bad experience with a Saturn, we took our car service mans advice and went for a Honda. So far its lived up to all expectations -- with some extra luxuries thrown in. For instance: great sound system, six CD player, heated leather seats and quick start heating system. Only negative: it could use a rear windown wicper.

  • Wonderful piece of machinery... - 2004 Honda Accord

The Accord is truly an overachiever and provides you with the amenenities and performance of a $35k+ automobile (i.e. the Acura TL that Id almost bought before I decided to test drive the Accord). The 6 cyl. is absolutely necessary for anyone interested in not being a turtle. The nav system performs remarkably well and the new voice controls are very accurate and provide control over the majority of the cars features, all without forcing you to take your eyes from the road. (This becomes very important as the Accord likes to move as an Ohio State Trooper pointed out before Id even managed to shed my temporary tags.)

I bought the LX-V6 because I wanted the power of a V-6, but didnt want all of the extras that the EX-V6 has. I paid EXACTLY what Edmunds TMV suggests. I strongly recommend doing your internet research before buying a car!
