Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Cant go wrong. - 2007 Honda Accord
By Jimmy - February 22 - 5:36 pmThis is my 4th Accord and I wont be turning my back on Honda anytime soon. I love everything about but the touchy brakes and the speakers could have better sound quality. (for factory its pretty good though) I love the mileage, averaging 30 mpg city/highway. The engine has plenty of power for a 4 cylinder and its very quiet as well. No nasty noises coming from under the hood. Interior build/materials is great too.

2014 Honda Accord Sport Issues - 2014 Honda Accord
By Mcon78666 - February 22 - 1:37 pmI have had my 2014 Honda Accord Sport for 3 years now. The rear tires (Bridgestone Potenza RE97AS) starting cupping/wearing out unevenly at 30,000. Honda wouldnt cover under Warranty. Bought all new tires, same brand and type. Made sure to get an alignment done and rotate them with every oil change and/or every 4,000 miles. One year later with only 23,000 miles the tires are cupping again. I have heard multiple people complain about the rear tires prematurely wearing out. Had to buy all new tires again. This time I did not buy the Bridgestone Potenza tires. I went with a more family tire with more thickness and not the sporty look tires. They are called Bridgestone DriveGuard tires. Waiting on the Service Manager at Honda to call me back because I think it has something to do with either the shocks, suspension, shruts and or the wheel bearings. I have noticed that my car doesnt take bumps on the road well, even the slightest bumps. Thats why I think its the car and not exactly the tires.

My 3rd Honda - Love it! - 2008 Honda Accord
By Scott n Buffalo - February 21 - 12:06 pmAfter a brief break driving a PT Cruiser for 36 painful months I returned happily to Honda. It took one test drive and I forgot all about the Passat and Legacy I was comparing it to. The car is equipped just how I wanted (5-speed w/leather) and is less appliance like then my 02 Accord SE.

CRV to Accord transition - 2006 Honda Accord
By tullj - February 21 - 7:56 amIm very happy with my new Accord. Of course the oveall quality is first rate, as I expected after owning 2 CRVs for years. The first thing I did a few days after getting the new Accord was to take off on a 4000 mile road trip of seven western states inclding 9 national parks and monuments. I drove from sea level in Seattle up to 12,200 feet on trail ridge road Colorado, to the desert southwest, and then up the pacific coast, in all types of weather and temperature conditions. I drove on long flat interstates at 80 mph and up and down steep mountains at lower speeds. I used all features of the car. it performed flawlessly. I averaged 36.7 mpg overall. I highly recommend this car.

Good Value, Great Reliability - 1992 Honda Accord
By R. Hunt - February 20 - 9:28 pmIn 13 years of ownership, I had no significant mechanical repairs on this car. With normally scheduled oil, filter, and coolant change, the only non preventive work on the car was muffler and brake work. Although winter salt took its toll on mufflers and brake rotors, I never had a speck of rust on the body. The car started and operated reliably in all extremes of weather.

Rattles - 2008 Honda Accord
By Josh - February 20 - 12:13 amI love the car except for the rattles from the passenger side. I noticed the compartment under the glove box was not snapped shut properly so fixed that but it still rattles worse than my 2001 Nissan Sentra on certain road surfaces. Great handling and acceleration though.

Very Reliable Car - 1998 Honda Accord
By Kyaw Naing - February 18 - 10:42 pmIve owned Honda Accords for 15 years and Im on my 5th Accord. They all were good cars (except the very 1st 1979). I sold my 2nd Accord at 200K miles. The 98 Accord by far the best car. It has about 120K miles and has been very reliable. Still drives like new. There was no major mechanical problem so far. However, I had occasional check engine warnings mostly from a few bad oxygen sensors. I took those warnings seriously when the car was new. But lately, I just ignored them. To my surprise the warnings just disappeared by themselves. Just hoping that the car will quit on me soon so that Ive an excuse to buy a new one. But seems like, itll be another 10yrs for me to get a new car!

Thanks for nothing - 2001 Honda Accord
By hose_job - February 18 - 7:12 pmI was looking for a reliable car for commuting purposes that I could put a decent amount of miles on without having to invest a big chunk of change into some major repairs a few years down the road. I decided to go with supposed "head of the" class when it comes to reliability. Sure enough, less than 4 years and 130K into into my transmission falls apart and they want me to stick another $5000 into a replacement. They tried to blame me because I only changed the fluid once a year at every 40,000 miles, when the truth is the failure was caused by a terrible design that they openly admitted to by extending the warranty to 100K miles.OWN UP TO YOUR MISTAKES HONDA!!
