Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Good, but mundane transportation - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned this car about 2 months now. Overall I would say the car is OK , but nothing really stands out about it. I would recommend it since its not a bad car, but this review is basically to point things out that I wish Honda had done differently. I wanted a 2 door car, but nothing really caught my attention while car shopping, and I basically settled on this car (I will drive it until something more interesting comes on the market). I will say that it gets good gas mileage. On straight highway driving, it gets the 34 MPG that the window sticker says, and in mixed city driving I get 26. I think the 4 cylinder engine has enough performance for my taste. I havent owned it long eno

  • No spare tire - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I also was surprised to learn that this car does not come w/ a spare tire. I went to a used tire place and purchased a full size spare /used rim for $85. I am wondering if this heavy tire will affect my gas mileage. I plan on only using it for long distance trips. Also was disappointed that I had to purchase the compass/ auto diming rear view mirror...think it should have been standard on a $30K car! Love the satellite radio and the car drives really smooth. So far the mileage indicator has been 32 at the highest number, 28 lowest. Fun to drive, really quiet. Very comfortable.

  • New, Stylish & Economical - 2017 Honda Accord

Driving aides can be a bit intrusive and sensitive. Car came to a complete stop on several occasion for approaching objects on the road that are 1" high (i.e. entrance access barriers, metal road construction covers). Both screens have some duplicate information which sometimes makes the other obsolete. Adaptive Cruise Control will sometimes apply the brakes pretty aggressive as you approach a car versus gradually decrease the speed. Interior is very comfortable, good interior storage, quiet ride, however, the rear speaker deck has a tendency to rattle as you increase the bass. Gas mileage is pretty standard for the class. Price is really good. The depreciation is horrible! A little over a 30% percent decrease.

  • Great car!! - 2005 Honda Accord

This is an outstanding vehicle! After doing the research, it was apparent to me that this car gives the maximum bang for your hard earned dollar. It has features you would not expect for a vehicle which costed under $29,000 (including destination, taxes and all). I added an alarm system for security and auto door locking feature when placed in gear. Great dealership experience. Another tip for those who might want daytime running lamps or auto on headlights is to keep your lights on all of the time. The auto off feature in the EX model will turn off the headlights after 5 or 10 seconds. The car has great power (240hp) and fit and finish. The Honda Nav system is second to none.

  • Not all that I expected - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

When I graduated from college I could not wait to get my Accord Coupe, now I am looking forward to my next vehicle. I had very high expectations which have not been met. Every time I have a rattle fixed a new one develops. Luckily, my dealer doesnt mind me bringing the car is every other month. The breaks are still good; however, they make noises all the time. Honda needs to re-focus on build quality.

  • Great car- 110,000 miles and counting - 1998 Honda Accord
    By -

Bought new summer 98 w/ 4 cyl w/ 5 spd manual. Had rear wheel bearings replaced at 37K warranty covered. Replaced timing belt and water pump at 90K, battery at 105K - no problems, but preventative. New cat converter at 110,000. Beware- nearly a grand for this one. Overall, a very dependable, classy looking car at a reasonable price. Handles well with right tires. The 5 speed manual compensates for the lower powered 4 cyl engine. But 30+ mpg highway more than makes up for the lower power. Keep the oil changed regularly- it should run to 200k plus- know people who have done it.I bought based on Honda reputation, and would buy Honda again.

  • Excellent car for the money. - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I would recommend this car to anyone! Im in my early 20s and used to love the fast, sporty cars, with manual transmissions, but found that it wasnt too practical for an every day commute to work. Just about everything is perfect, and feels like a much more expensive car.

  • great car - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive had this car for more than 2 years now and have not had a single problem with it. What it lacks in luxury it more than makes up for in reliability and build quality. My family and I are able to turn the key and not worry wether were going 10 blocks to the store or 1,000 miles on a road trip. The peace of mind we have with this car is extraordinary. The maintenence on the car has been outright simple also. The honda dealership has an easy to understand schedule with reasonable prices.

  • Love my Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

I just bought a 2001 honda accord with 70k miles on it. Best car I have ever bought. Fun to drive. Easy to hook up for teens. Looks nice, and very spacious. It seems the manual hondas are better. Had a 97 honda civic automatic transmission. The car was used but after i bought it the transmission went up on me with 20k miles. I love my honda accord and wouldnt trade it for anything else.
