Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great Car - 2009 Honda Accord

Had a 2005 Honda Accord exl w/ navi and loved it. Never had one problem. Bought this one in Apr of 09. Was hoping that the economy of running 3 cyl when 6 not needed would help the mileage (it didnt) over the 05 model. drove the 05 from midwest to west coast 4 times and averaged 30 mpg over 1500 mile trip each time. Just arrived in Nv. this year and we averaged 28 mpg. Other than disappointment with the mileage I love the car. I feel this car has better drivers seat comfort than the 05. I usually drive 850 miles first day on way to the west, and did have back problem with the 05. NONE with the 09.

  • Reliable - 1997 Honda Accord

Like the other posts say, the car is relibile. Only took it to the shop once.. to do a valve adjustment because I didnt want to do it myself. Everything else I worked on and its been running great. Theres so many things you can customize on this car. The service manual for this car is the best manual Ive ever seen. Shows you how to do everything in detail steps.. Honda is known for this.Power Windows can be a problem. Had to replace the driver side power window assembly twice. Power Windows are slow due the flimsy design of the pulley system. Too much tension being place on the cable.Over all its been a very good car.. Its taken a lot of abuse and keeps on working!

  • Black on black beauty - 2003 Honda Accord

This is the first Honda I have owned, and I may just become an Accord driver for life. After test driving everything from the Subaru WRX to the BMW 3-series and Infinity G35, nothing could compare to the Accord. Sure, the Infinity and BMW were faster, more refined, but in terms of bang (and comfort) for your buck, nothing can beat the Accord.

Car exceeds all expectations. After decades of Porsche,Audi,Mercedes and BMW ownership this is a breath of fresh air. Insurance less than $400.00 per year. Reliability much better than German cars, and it is almost as much fun to drive. With newly designed seats it has finally become very comfortable to drive for long distances with no hint of fatigue or back pain. This had always been a short coming in my previous Honda encounters. Leather and electric seat heaters also a nice feature at this price point. Excellent stereo and CD player. An outstanding value.

  • Good, but not perfect - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

In a nutshell, I leased for less than $300/month with zero down, a car that has almost everything I was looking for. V6 with decent power, leather but not ventilated or heated seats, decent CD player but not MP3, quiet but still too much wind noise. But I dont love it. I cant really explain why but it just doesnt grab me the way that my previous cars did even though it is the fastest and highest end car Ive owned. Sad but true.

  • 1998 Honda Accord EX with a Moon Roof - 1998 Honda Accord

This is a fun car to drive, especially in the Spring and Fall. It is easy to maneuver, holds the road very nicely and is economical. Good for small families. Does not seat 5 adults comfortably. The center console takes up too much space. Leather seats would help seating and leaving. A quality automobile. Too close for a 6 footer in the drivers seat.

  • Great Car for the money. - 2005 Honda Accord

I got my accord dx a few months ago and have put on about 7000 miles. I have had no problems, and find the car to be great fo long distances. It is comfortable and roomy.

  • BRAKES!!!!! - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I really loved this car the first few months I got it. Until I had to replace the rear brakes at 13,000 miles!! Absolutely ridiculous! I am now at 31,000 and just replaced them for the 3rd time. This was the only problem I had with the car. But hopefully some good new awaits as I read from another reviewer that a brake update/recall is coming from Honda in December 2009. Lets hope that happens. There is also a lot of road noise, I cant hear my bluetooth coming out of my speaker. I paid $500 for it too! Just use headphones or ear piece. I have yet to get 30 mpg on the long trips I take. Im going to look at a Prius now if they dont fix the brake problem. Waste of money!

  • Very Nice - 2006 Honda Accord

The most perfect vehicle I have ever owned and driven. Just the right size, great on gas, insurance and very practical. Ill probably never buy an American made vehicle again due to their poor mpg compared to Honda.

  • First Honda - 2005 Honda Accord

After comparing cars in the same class I chose a Honda, and I am very happy with my choice. I like the way it handle and the v6 is very quick when you need the power. MY MILEAGE IS NOT THAT GREAT. My average is about 24 miles to a gallon hi-way only.
