Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Dont Buy Accord V6 - 1998 Honda Accord
By lofosuad - March 14 - 3:40 amOn 4/16/98 I purchased my second Honda, an accord EX V6. On 2/12/99 I replaced the transmission computer, under warranty. On 5/19/00 there was a recall. At 100K after first engine tune-up, the alternator dies $275. A few weeks later the transmission goes out $3100, then the check engine light comes on, something about EGR valve $500. The check engine is back on again all this on top of expensive maintenance costs. The car has 109K miles on it, I am thinking about selling it. My advice to you is dont buy the accord V6 at least not the 98-01 model it was designed to break down. My girl friend has similar problems with 98 LX

BEWARE!! Accord 2016 has VIBRATION + moreproblems! - 2016 Honda Accord
By Harry Jarman - March 13 - 12:07 pmThis car has serious vibration problems. At start up the engine vibrates and causes the steering wheel to shake .you have to put it into neutral to stop the vibration. The local dealer knows of the vibration problem on CRV but refuses to hear that there is a problem on the accord. The agents at America Honda never picks up the phone and are not helpful very negative, cannot send any written information .They said take it to another dealership.I am doing that. The seats are very uncomfortable after a long drive and the steering feels stiff on the freeway. The air conditioner and heating system are very poor works only at very high setting. I am smelling foul air from the air Conditioner system and this is not covered by warranty. The car is noisy on the freeway-wind noise. I bought the car for its excellent reviews! and customer service!. My previous car has no such problems. I am now questioning the reviews. I feel I have a lemon because no one reports this vibration problems etc. Do test drive for a long distance and check the car before you buy. On mine the vibration problem started 2 weeks after purchase. America Honda are very reluctant to provide any information or concrete help. The + gas mileage is good ,acceleration good.

Best value out there - 2008 Honda Accord
By stealthy - March 13 - 12:06 pmGets 29 mpg highway and does 0-60 in 5.9 seconds on regular unleaded! Steering is extremely accurate and allows you to feel whats going on with the road much better than Altima which had a loose and disconnected feeling. This car is bigger than i would have liked. Too bad they couldnt keep same size of previous generation accord. Seems like cars from all manufacturers are getting bigger these days though. Forgetting about size, the overall design has really grown on me. Has a chiseled look, they placed the sharp cut angles in some well chosen spots. I have had quite a few compliments from strangers. It is amazing how much room this car has though.

Fun to Drive - 1997 Honda Accord
By jk1601 - March 13 - 2:00 amThis is my third Accord and I bought it off a lease in 99. Compared to my previous 89 DX, this thing has power, since its 5 speed with VTEC engine. ITs my first car with power everything and I really love to drive it, 50 miles/day to work. But 3 years after buying it, I think it needs even more power. The the only problem Ive had is the power door locks failed. Its got 80,000 miles and going strong.

Super Commuter - 1997 Honda Accord
By LStrick - March 12 - 11:59 pmLove my Honda LX 4dr 5spd. Bought it at 13,000 miles, now have 260,000!!! commute 90 miles one way to work 5 days a week, from high desert Antelope Valley CA over a mountain and down a long freeway into Pomona CA. Gas mileage avg 27 highway at 75 to 80 mph! Blew a seal on FWY at 120,000 miles, repair expensive but COVERED by extended warranty. Power to pass going UPHILL is great! Doesnt corner worth 2 cents, so Angeles Crest to work is short cut, but everbody passes me because Im slow on the canyon curves. Otherwise outstanding car.

A great car with a poor driver seat - 2016 Honda Accord
By Tanmoy - March 11 - 5:55 amThe driver seat takes out all the pleasure of driving this beautiful car. A 30 mins drive will cause severe back / leg pain.

Good but not Great - 2002 Honda Accord
By Kris M - March 10 - 12:20 pmI will admit I have only owned the car for 2 months now, but I have some complaints. Passing power is almost a joke. My 2002 stratus would blow the doors off this thing. I am almost afraid to pass in it. This V-6 seems to be powerless in the top end. My fuel mileage is not so great either. On long trips averaging 65mph I only get 25-26 mpg. The dodge got 28-29 with the V6. Other than that we love the car. Climate control is a must have. Being able to see out of your car is a plus. If you dont know what I mean drive a stratus. Having a large trunk opening is great as well. Hopfully the milage will improve over time.

So far, so good... - 2010 Honda Accord
By jimmy - March 9 - 8:43 pmJust got the car. Got black on black, and it is really slick, especially at night. I got the 4-cyl because it was about 2K cheaper than that v6, and I really wanted navigation but that was about another 2K. After driving it, I was surprised at the zip it had as well as the quiet and smooth ride. The v6 is easy to differentiate when compared to 4cyl on most cars, but this 4cyl feels like most other v6s. Drive it and you will see. I did get the bluetooth/heated seats/xm/alloy wheel package, and I couldnt see myself buying the car without these features. The entertainment system in the car is just like the Acura system. It is easy to use, but takes a little getting used to.

The Honeymoon is Over - 2008 Honda Accord
By Disappointed - March 8 - 7:23 pmMy first new car in years, I had researched this car online for months! The test drive was great and I loved the car until I drove it out of town (trip lasted 2 hours) and developed back pain. Thought I was just getting old but it never improved and I was amazed to see all the other drivers who had the same problem. Ive already been through 2 set of wiper blades after 6 months and had the weatherstripping around the back doors replaced once. And my headlights blink too! Im very sad - I loved my daughters Civic and the dealer service is fantastic, but even good service cant help the uncomfortable seats.
