Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Disappointing Fuel Economy - 2016 Honda Accord
By Josh - April 8 - 7:15 amIts a great looking car, especially at night with the LED taillights. I want to like it, and I do for the most part. I just havent bonded with it like I did my last two Hondas. There isnt anything objectively wrong with it, I just dont feel a connection to it. Its just a car to me, one that I wont be sad to get rid of. The fuel economy is not what I had hoped for. Im averaging just 24 MPG with mixed driving. Hopefully it will get better when I put more miles on it. The seats are not quite as comfortable as on the 2016 Civic, but theyre not bad. Having Apple CarPlay is a fantastic feature that I wouldnt want to go without, but it does take quite a while to start up when compared to other vehicles Ive tried it on. The back seats are comfortable enough for short trips, and the trunk is huge. A couple of things I dont like: There is a fair bit of wind noise that sounds like its coming from the door seal right next to my ear. There is no volume knob. Not the biggest thing in the world because it does have volume controls on the steering wheel. Still, Id rather have one. Im also not a big fan of the glossy black trim on the inside. It scratches easily and always looks smudged.

Accord Ex V-6 - 2004 Honda Accord
By spaceinvader - April 7 - 6:40 pmCar is a significant improvement over the 2000 V-6 model, which is also a fine car. The 04 model is more refined, more powerfull, better fuel economy and has more nice features. Avg. MPG in mixed driving for last three tanks is 27 to 28. About 2 mpg better than the 2000 model.

Most reliable car weve owned. - 2006 Honda Accord
By gabriel zapata - April 7 - 1:44 amreliable vehicle, cheap on repairs. we bought it at 159k miles now at 256k miles we never did anything major to it just regular oil changes, starter replaced, power steering pump replaced 2 times, car never broke down on the side of the road, never ran out of gas only had check engine light on once for Oxygen sensor which was repaired by the dealer who sold it to us, i would buy this car all over again or a newer accord.

Best family sedan for a young family - 2006 Honda Accord
By ism4212 - April 6 - 7:33 amI love my new Accord. The Special Edition package has enough feature for me. No need to go overboard with the EX. I have been driving Hondas all my life, so my review might be a little biased. 88 Accord, 90 Civic, 92 Accord, and a 2000 Civic. I test drove the competition before purchasing my Accord. None compared to the Accord when weighing features, reliability, value, and performance against price. The engine is amazing for a 4 cylinder. Plenty of power. I like out running all the "punks" in thier tuner cars. The 5 speed automatic is so smooth. Drops gears fast for brisk acceleration. No regrets.

Unrefined tech added to a good car - 2005 Honda Accord
By Kevin McMurtrie - April 3 - 1:30 pmThe 2005 Accord Hybrid suffers from unrefined technology. I nearly lemon-lawed the car because the engine malfunction lamp flashed at full throttle. Only a recent software update fixed it. Glacial transmission downshifting makes it a real drag to drive on winding roads. Various electronic systems seem to be prone to glitches and odd behavior. This car is barely a hybrid because the electric motor is rarely used for acceleration. Its primary function seems to be as a virtual flywheel during 3- cylinder operation and a power source for the hybrid A/C. The non-hybrid portions are what youd expect from Honda. The car is quiet, refined, comfortable, and handles decently.

Comfortable / Reliable cruiser - 1998 Honda Accord
By Ed - April 2 - 7:01 pmBought this car from my father in law with 80k miles on it. For the most part it has not failed to meet my high expectations for a Honda . I have had brake work and wheel bearings replaced, but that is expected in NY after 7 winters. Only other problem was a burned out alternator at 120k. Other than that, has never has a problem during the past 3 years, and I am hard on my cars. The odometer currently reads 132,000 and my goal is to hit 200k. I also own a 2004 accord, same model, and that is the only reason my ratings for this car are not higher. The newest model is a huge step forward in overall refinement. Either way, I dont think you can go wrong purchasing a honda.

2016 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L - 2016 Honda Accord
By C. Bianchi - April 2 - 3:56 pmThis car is awesome. It has great handling, great acceleration & braking, too. It is comfy inside & stylish, both inside and out. The only problems that I have with it is that it does not read newly received text messages out loud via the Bluetooth connectivity. Also, the doors occasionally rattle; it isnt too loud and it comes and goes. It does not happen every car ride.

1998 Honda Accord LX 4cyl - 1998 Honda Accord
By Ken Johnston - April 2 - 2:00 amWe bought our car right after the early 1998 Automatic transmission recall. We have had no non-maintenance issues with the car outside of some correction needed for the window door seals. Gas milage has been good but the new Accord model is even better. The 4 cylinder is perfectly adequate for most situations and the car has a better weight ratio.

Words do nothing... - 2006 Honda Accord
By dorkus - March 31 - 1:56 pmI must say, this car has more than lived up to expectations. It is far more refined than others in its class, and its so nice having the performance, luxury, and affordability all in one car. My V6 is getting 27 mpg on average. The heated seats and mirrors are wonderful, and the dash layout is very effective, along with the steering wheel audio controls. The brakes really are a bit softer than I like, but the rest of the performance makes up for it. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a bit of luxury with performance, and practicality, at a price others would pay 6k more for. This Accord is the best yet.

much better handling than an altima - 2002 Honda Accord
By mcd2000 - March 31 - 2:00 amthe altima no contest has more power (but crappy handling), but to match accords standards, you would end up paying 28000 when you get an altima. plus it handles SO MUCH better than an altima, its engine is very responsive
