Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Smoothe Ride - 2004 Honda Accord

Smoothe riding, smoothest shifting Ive ever experienced. This car handles like a dream, and rides like one too. Peppy for a 4 cylinder. We still have one that the kids drive that has 230,000 miles on it, and no major repairs yet.

I bought this car with 83000 miles in 2004 from a friend and had a full paint job and service, its a beautiful pearlized green. One year later Im still getting offers for up to $5000. Wouldnt part with it for anything. It runs great and look great. love this car!

  • Disappointed Buyer - 2008 Honda Accord

Purchased car with only 31 miles. Two weeks later car was having a new steering column replaced. A week later rear of car was vibrating when I drive speeds that exceeded 40 miles per hour. Took car back to dealer. Something had to be repaired in truck area to stop vibration. Two months after this car went back to the shop and found that the steering column had to be replace again? WOW by now ready to give car back. Very disappointed in Honda customer service. I have owned several Honda products but this is by far the worst model I have ever owned. Drivers seat not comfortable, the car itself compared to other models of similar class. I rate this car a 2 on a scale of 10!!!!

  • Engine Problems - 1991 Honda Accord
    By -

I have enjoyed driving my car. I have done the tune ups and regular oil changes. I had to replace the radiator after 120000 miles. Thats not too bad. Recently while I was driving my engine would just stop. I would waite a minutue or two, my check engine light would go off, the car would start again. This happened randomly. Finally it died and didnt start. It turns out to be the Ignition control module. Thats the only issue I have had. I recommend buying another.

  • 2008 Honda Accord LX - 2008 Honda Accord

I have had my Accord for 7 months, just about 9,400 miles. I love it! I have had NO problems with it. I havent had any back pain from the seats, maybe these people exceed the seat weight limit? My lights arent flickering and there is no rattling. I dont think the engine is loud but that can be a matter of opinion. My basis for comparison were Hondas, Nissans and Toyotas all of which I have owned over the years.

  • Nice Ride - 2008 Honda Accord

Picked up the 08 LX-P auto. Overall real happy with purchase. Few complaints: active headrest is annoying as it keeps creeping up touching my head (have to do something about that, hopefully fix is on the way), no seat memory and rain pours in on the door armrest switches when window is slightly open while driving (door visors should help). Very stylish inside and out, lots of room (Im 64" with plenty of room all around including rear seat). Confident handling and rides very nice.

  • Good for the money - 2000 Honda Accord

2000 EX 4 cycl w/ leather purchased new for $20k. 88k miles & running strong. To date, only had to replace oil/air filter (normal sched), light bulb in clock (at 20k), brake pads & tires (at 60k), battery (at 84k), and transmission (at 84k, covered by warranty - known issue for this model). Also had dealer clean out sticking throttle body (at 84k). Just replaced windshield wiper blade inserts (at 86k). Thats everything to date. The drivers side window squeals sometimes (probably due to tint install) and the cupholder lid doesnt close properly (appears to be a broken hinge) can live with all that. Overall a very good car for the price very reliable good exterior/interior design/quality.

  • Awesome! - 2006 Honda Accord

I love this car! My last car was a 91 Accord which was awesome, but this thing rocks! Its a great family car and has all around versatility. I love that it can comfortable seat 5 adults!

  • Unsatisfied Consumer - 2004 Honda Accord

The handling characteristics of the car are excellent. The exterior finish is the worst we have ever experienced, as it is subject to many, many paint chips. We have a 1990 Honda Accord as well, and that car after 14 years has a much better paint finish and less paint chips. Also, the 1990 Honda seems to be built better as everything fits perfectly. That is not the case for the 2004 Honda.
