Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

I drove Camry and Altima before buying this car but accord provides excellent handling, very quiet interior and good ride comfort.

Have had my V6 EX Accord sedan for over a month now... Love it. Have had several Civics over the years, and this is an amazing increase in luxury, solid ride, etc. Peppy and comfortable, with decent gas mileage. Feels roomy, solid, quick and reliable.

Bought the 2003 Accord when my 02 Altima 2.5S was totalled. I liked the Altima but love the Honda. Equal in performance but Honda is smoother, quieter, better interior, lower priced, better mileage and higher quality. And I bought this car for under $18K, less tax and tags.

Traded in our 2000 Toyota Sienna for a sedan. Was able to get a 60 month 0% deal so that was a great savings. Car has blue tooth system which works well and dealer was great at helping us understand car features. Car overall feels sturdy, safe, and quiet. I like this Accord and believe if you are in the sedan market, this should be a car to look at.

  • A great car but could be quieter inside - 2001 Honda Accord

Bought as "certified" used vehicle w/ 5000 miles in 2003. Most impressed w/ reliability-now at 35000 miles and not a single problem or repair. Reliable family (of 4) vehicle with good gas mileage (26 mpg around town--4 cyl). Not too zippy, but handles well. Expected it to be a quieter ride more wind/road noise than I like. Seats uncomfortable on long drives (>1 hr). Interior design no frills but well laid-out. Lots of trunk space and flexible cargo arrangement w/ the fold- down rear seat and rear seat port-hole (have used this feature many times). We need to move up to larger vehicle now (baby on way) so its good resale value is a plus. Overall satisfied with this car.

  • Second owner at 80K - 2009 Honda Accord

Ive had this car for a couple years now, and it is at 166K (mostly highly) now. This car has treated me greatly, and I would definitely recommend one for anyone looking for a used model. Its a heavy car, but very stable, earlier models of the previous generation felt alot more nibble. If you use a good set of tires, it will make all the difference in the snow. It has its quirks here and there, but overall you seldom have to be under the hood to repair it past basic maintenance. When it comes to parts and repair, these cars are expensive when going through your Honda dealer, but they are so reliable it makes up for the cost.
