Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Excellent car with one exception - 1998 Honda Accord
By chuck seccombe - May 27 - 10:00 amthe car is great and fun to drive. Has great pick up. One chronic problem is that the check engine light came on at approx. 75,000 miles and have not been able to determine why.

Good Buy - 1995 Honda Accord
By Accord Owner - May 26 - 6:17 pmIve been a satisfied owner since 2001. The car handles well and has been reliable. 130,000+ miles now. The V6 engine is not noticeably faster than the 4-cylinder, but it is noticeably quieter and smoother. I generally get ~26 mpg with about 80% highway driving. The car looks good yet, except for a little rust on the rear wheel well.

Classic Accord - 2012 Honda Accord
By Michael Kass - May 26 - 3:03 pmEven though I bought it "used", I got a great deal on a low mileage 2012 Accord V6 Coupe. Having owned 2 previously, I found this one to be classic in its reliability and performance. No surprises. Good, reliable entertainment. The V6 is nice, compared to my previous 4 cylinder Accords. People complain about the drivers side lumbar support as being "agressive". This may be true for most people, however I have a weak back, and find the strong lumbar support to be a blessing. The front seats themselves tend to be a bit "firm". They dont massage you or envelope you in comfort. That would be my only complaint about the 2012 Accord.

Love my new 2017 Accord - 2017 Honda Accord
By Matt Summers - May 25 - 1:03 amFeel the road a bit more than I would like, the internal touch screen panel is far from intuitive but is not as bad as some reviewers say, and the UBS port needs to be moved out of the center console to the main control area. These are all very minor complaints. Everything else about the car is excellent-- absolutely top notch-- and, as a repeat Honda buyer, reaffirms why I usually buy Honda products and why the Accord is always rated as one of the best cars. You simply cannot get a better all around car--- for more or less money-- than a Honda. Interior comfort is excellent, the 4 cylinder engine provides plenty of power- even with multiple passengers in the car, MPG is great, and everything was delivered in perfect working condition. Visibility from drivers seat is excellent. I love my new Accord so far.

Modest and Reliable - 1997 Honda Accord
By Kaizen - May 24 - 5:37 pmI am the owner of a beloved 97 Accord SE- sedan. The car presently has 200,561 miles and had only had its timing belt replaced once. The car is still in top running condition and frequently makes road trips out-of-town with ease. The complaints about the vehicle are slim to few in between, however, in 97 Honda needed much improvement in their electronic department- power windows were slow or the window motors burnt out. Overall, a wonderful car. Going this evening to pick up my 05 ex-v6 sedan with leather, nav and xm radio. I am looking forward to the increased power, from 130 hp to 240.. Thank you Honda...

Doors Rattle, Brakes Grab, Roof Leaks - 2003 Honda Accord
By J G - May 23 - 9:43 amThis car is a poorly engineered and poorly manufactured vehicle. The dealer tried to fix the brakes but said that I should be glad they are overly sensitive rather than not having any brakes at all. At 35,995 miles applying the brakes in the rain caused it to go out of control. Problem fixed but brakes still oversensitive. The roof had to be patched because seeping water from the roof pooled in the floorboards causing mold and mildew. The dealer replaced the carpet but did not re-connect the 12V power connection in the center armrest storage compartment. The doors rattle on the smoothest road and the stereo speakers rattle excessively. Road noise LOUD.

fun car - 2008 Honda Accord
By cleicht - May 22 - 6:36 amI was very apprehensive about changing from a 4Runner to a car. I had tons of room in my 4Runner, but I needed something that would get better gas mileage w/o giving up power. No question the V6 is so much fun to drive. After research between the Altima coupe and the Accord. The Accord outshines the Altima in safety alone. The slalom tests that were between these two cars I would have never believed that the Accord would hug the road as best as it does. However, I am not a speed demon or a risk taker, but the sway bar is incredible. I love this car and am very happy to leave my 4runner behind.

Disappointing reliability - 2000 Honda Accord
By denc13 - May 21 - 5:28 pmI bouth my 00 Accord EX V6 more than 5 years ago new, and the reliability of the car was very disapointing. Right after the warranty expired, things started breaking down. The major repairs include alternator replacement, power steering pump replacement, EGR valve replacement, now a belt tensioner replacement. All within 30 thousand miles after the warranty ended and do not include a slew of minor repairs in the moonroof, door locks, etc. Very disappointed in Honda, especially considering the "legendary reliability" premise I bought the car on and has been much worse than any of the cars I owned or are currently in my household. This was the first and will the last Honda I ever own.

Liked my Civic, but love the new Accord - 2003 Honda Accord
By buttercupismypal - May 20 - 10:00 amHated to give up my 1997 Civic Lx because it was reliable, got great gas mileage and still looked okay. But after driving my friends 2001 Accord to shop for a new car, WOW, what a difference in comfort. I noticed the smoother ride, higher seating, more leg and side room, just no comparison. She didnt buy the car that night, I did! At 300 lbs. and 510", I needed a bigger car with the same reliabilty and reasonable price. The 2003 Accord looks great and has a very plush interior (at least it seems like it compared to the trusty ole Civic.
