Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Once a Honda Owner, aways a Honda Owner. - 2003 Honda Accord

I once own a 96 Accord, its been very reliable to me ever since I owned it. I traded in for a fully loaded Infiniti G35 and obtained well resale to dealer value. Two weeks ago, my folks showed me their fully loaded V-6 Coupe for themselves. I was amazed by the package accord has to offered. Design, voice recognization, touch screen navigation and all of other cool stuff for 10K less that what I paid for my G35. I am definately going to come back to Honda on my next car purchase.

  • Very disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord

I purchased my car less than a week ago and am very disappointed. It is beautiful and fun to drive, but first morning I got in, tire pressure light was on and all four tires were low on air. Three days later we noticed the rear center brake lights in center of window and spoiler werent working. Tonight I find that my headlights, brake lights, and interior lights all flicker every 20 seconds when the air conditioner is running. This is an almost $30,000 car with less than 500 miles on it and shouldnt have problems. As beautiful as this car is, I wouldnt recommend buying one.

  • i love my honda! - 1997 Honda Accord

I own a 97 Accord EX 2dr. I purchased the car 9 months ago and have put 16,000 miles on it. Ive driven it from NY to FL 4 times and all I have done is change the oil. I owned a 96 Civic before this, and would definitly buy another honda. The check engine light is on, but Im not sure why. Its probably something small since Ive put 12,000 miles on it like that. Drives very smooth, good gas mileage, roomy trunk for such a small car, the sound system sounds great even though its stock. i love all the features too, because mine has the 6-disc changer and sunroof. the power windows are slow, especially the passenger side one. overall, a fabulous car that i would reccomend to anyone.

great handling and very comfortable. just as fast as i need it to be. im kind of a nuts driver so the 4 cyl keeps me good.good gas milage. i have the black cloth seats which are nice but get very dirty easily. next time ill go with the leather.

  • Very good everyday driver - 1996 Honda Accord

Well, Hondas are known to be reliable and this one is no different! Ive owned it for past 5 years at 42,000 miles and other than AC problem and window problem, nothing major.

  • Plenty of "car" for price paid - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this vehicle from a used car lot, and was literally "sold" a few hours after first seeing it. The exterior is very attractive (except for a few dents left by the original owner!). The engine is efficient--you can ride comfortably without using "high gear." Happy with the car so far (23.5k right now, with 20k/year expected).

  • Dangerous Brakes - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased vehicle new in 2003. It has excellent expected Honda reliability with one major exception!!! The brakes fail almost completely in winter driving conditions. My model has ABS and I am experienced driving in snow and this is the most dangerous car I have ever driven in snow. Thank god I dont live in an area that gets snow. Dealership did an inspection; said they found nothing..mind you...problem only occurs in snow! 1-800-Honda has done nothing either!!! Think twice before buying if you ever need to drive in snow. Chains made no difference when trying to stop.

I think the accessory outlets should be hot all the time instead of just when the key is on. I like to charge my cell phone when Im not in the car. The fog light accessory should be hot wired also. Right now it only works on low beam. Give me the option of when I want them on. Already mentioned by many is the lighted steering colum controls as well as the 17" wheels. The cup holder is a little deep for my small cream no sugar. I couldnt get the day/night mirror with the fog lights with the nav. too much on the elec system. Fix it! Fun to drive so far.

  • Great Car to own - 2003 Honda Accord

I compared the Honda Accord and Nissan Maximum and I am so glad a chose the Accord. The car helds great and has great fuel economy. I owned a Infiniti I30t and the accord is more comfortable. Great car and would recommend it to everyone.
