Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • I love this car!!! - 2004 Honda Accord

My Accord EX V6 is an outstanding vehicle. Offering high quality and value at a reasonable cost. Its as good as a BMW at slightly more than half the cost. I love the performance and sport-like handling. 0-60 mph is less than 7 seconds, while economy is 21/31 mpg City/Hwy., what a great combination!!

I traded my 2002 honda coupe for the hybrid. I wanted to save on gas. Its too soon to tell but I drove it for nearly 100 miles and didnt use a quarter tank yet. The car is really powerful and I have to keep track of how fast I go. The interior is very nice a spacious. I dont want to get out of my car.

This is my fourth Honda car and Im certain its my last. My third car was a 1995 Honda Accord V6 EX and I thought it was just a bad year for Honda. My 2001 2 DR V6 Accord is a little better but the design and ride is still just average. The drivers seat seems loose. Everytime I brake or accelerate the seat rocks forward or backward. Dealer stated there are no problems with it so I guess its just poor engineering. The car also seems to have difficulty finding the right gears in traffic. Im always lurching forward or back because the automatic gears cant decide on an appropriate gear. I imagine this car will rust soon just like my other Hondas did. Time to look at other makes.

  • Too Much Mechanical and Rust Problems - 1995 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchase the Accord expecting a better experience than the Civic I owned. I was so dissappointed with this car after having numerous problems under warranty period. These are some of the problems with the car: ABS fails repeatedly (ABS lights up), window rolls up and down slowly, AC is never cold and warm/hot air is always comming out of the vents when the AC is off, Automatic shift lever keeps locking up in Park position, ignition key gets stuck, odometer gets stuck, engine idles very rough like an old diesel truck (it shakes and vibrates), and repeated rusting on back fenders which honda wont cover after 5 years if the rust reoccurs (and it does). More problems but Im out of space!

  • Third Time is not the Charm - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my third Honda Accord (previous model years were 1986 and 2004) and I have not experience the same build quality as with the previous models. The 2003 model has numerous rattles (dashboard, front windows and headliner), the material covering the side curtain air bags is sagging (dealer advised this is normal), the plastic on the doors and door frame floor is wearing poorly, the plastic front seat moldings near the floor are uneven, the front windshiled exterior molding is buckling. Experienced numerous issues with the dealer. Delivered the vehicle without all of the purchased accessories, took two months to fix CD bin door. Overall, poor service.

Very few know that you can get an accord V6 with 244 hp and a S2000 6 speed manual transmission. The car is really a less luxury version of the Acura TL type S. It is fast, quiet, responsive, and just saucy!! All that, plus a lease payment under $300 including tax! This car has a sensible and ergonomic interior, a great sound system, carbon fiber look accents, great trunk, and good looks

  • great reliable suprisingly quiet car - 1999 Honda Accord

this car has been very reliable. timing belt was the only major service done since 60K miles. It is quiet and nice with the right tires on it.

Love the styling of the two door EX coupe but will never buy a two door again. Getting into the back seat is a chore. Transmission started acting up at 120k at that point the car was traded. Brakes on this car are total junk. The rotors warp which leads to vibration under braking. Interior quality is marginal. Overall, I enjoy driving the car and have never regretted getting the 4-cylinder engine.

  • What a Difference - 2008 Honda Accord

I traded my 01 v-6 sedan in for the 08 v-6 coupe and its a totally different drive. Im impressed with the performance as well as efficiency gains. The ride is a great balance between handling and comfort.

  • Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Great car. Ive had the car for exactly one year and I have never taken it back for a single warranty defect. Ive never had a car like that before. The only thing that I would like to have is a memory on the power seat and a graphic equilizer on the radio. Excellent radio (120Watts) without the equilizer Im just being picky. Excellent quality leather seating with adjustable lumbar support and heat! I would recommend this vehicle to anyone.
