Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

By Jack - July 26 - 2:30 pmThis is the first car that I own and I must say Im extremely impressed by it. Very nice interior and roomy as well. Fuel economy is nice as well as the steering. Car looks really nice outside and handles well. Very quiet and picks up speed relatively well.

Last of a dying breed - 1994 Honda Accord
By Lee - July 23 - 2:20 pmThis year model Accord is much better built than 1998-2002 body styles. I hope the latest rendition of the Accord goes back to their excellent build quality and premium interior materials. I bought this car used with 60,000 miles and have put over 100,000 (now reads 168,000) miles on it. I have used and abused this poor baby and it still treats me right. Its starting to show some wear and tear with using oil regularly, but what could I expect? Not many flaws with this Japanese masterpiece, other than one faulty oil seal leak. I would probably buy a new one if they are still made this good. Trust me: believe the hype! This is a great vehicle.

To heck with the SUV! - 2006 Honda Accord
By hogfarmer - July 22 - 6:23 pmGot sick of $60 fillups every 200 miles with our V8 SUV, so looked long and hard for something sporty, affordable, and got good mileage. Great little car, very happy with 4 cylinder. Have about 4k miles so far, no complaints. Brakes are a bit touchy, will see how they hold up long term. Spend the extra $500 for spoiler, really makes look cool. More fun to drive than our Maxima, Saturn, and even diesel F350!

Love it! - 2004 Honda Accord
By Kris Hamilton - July 22 - 10:00 amI am a Europien trained sport car type of driver for many years but I am now in my 40s. The Accord is a real piece of driving art for an automatic.

Just Purchased 2005 - 2004 Honda Accord
By dreamer123 - July 22 - 10:00 amJust purchased an 05 Accord. The main change in styles was the rear tail lights. Compared this car with the Acura TL, albeit they are different cars. The quality of the accord is excellent by my standards. Creature comforts are really nice. I researched a number of cars and found the Accord to be pound for pound superior for the price. The final selling feature for me was this 6 cyl, 240 HP engine which uses regular gas! The quality of Honda is tough to beat. Ive got a Civic with 280k miles on it and I only put several hundred bucks (above maintenance) to keep her going. In sum, if you buy this model I think you will be pleased.

Dynastic Succession - 2004 Honda Accord
By Jd Texas Flyer - July 22 - 10:00 amThis is my 8th Honda in two decades, deciding in its favor once again after comparing against the Mazda6 (close) and the Toyota Camry (grandmas car). Once again, the combination of economical performance, relatively refined engineering, value retention, and dependability made the choice easy. Although the exterior finish quality is less than expected (multiple paint bubbles on hood, make-ready finish scratches), this current version of a quite successful automotive dynasty appears to be the finest in a long line of Accord / Civic purchases, many of which were "still going" very well after 250K miles.

This Car Rocks!! - 2000 Honda Accord
By SanDiego1 - July 22 - 10:00 amI have owned this car since 1999, and have had zero problems with it. Its sleek exterior and outstanding interior are a tough match for any mid-size in this class. Performance is outstanding, whether in the city or plowing through the mountains. Overall, very pleased with the EX V6, and happy not to visit the service department except for scheduled maintenance.

Great Car! - 1998 Honda Accord
By Cheri - July 21 - 12:01 amBefore my Honda I had two Chevy Berettas. They were money guzzlers (over $8000 not including purchase cost!). The only money Ive put into my Accord was for sway bar link and bearings (about $60 total) and a starter (about $150). Ill be spending about $500 more in a few weeks when the 105,000 maintainance comes up, but to me its well worth it. My Accord has always been reliable (I bought it used 3.5 years ago), cost efficient, and great on gas! (I laugh at those pulling up to the filling station in Suburbans and pickups :D). Im completely sold in imports thanks to this car. Thanks Honda!
