Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Very Satisfied. - 2008 Honda Accord
By drelement - August 25 - 12:40 amFor the price, this car is an outstanding value that wreaks high quality. The 190 hp I4 engine is powerful and smooth enough to enjoy, without sacrificing fuel mileage. The new styling is very upscale, and the interior layout is also impressive and spacious inside. My only reservations are the ivory cloth interiors durability (had to have taffeta white!), and the hvac/stereo plastic trim panel creaks like crazy when its hot outside.

By far the worst car Ive ever owned - 1997 Honda Accord
By tmm - August 24 - 8:16 pmI would not recommend purchasing a Honda Accord. My car has been a maintenance nightmare. Since the warranty ended, the car has been in the shop every 3-4 months and has required major maintenance. It once took the dealer over a year to diagnose and correct an intermittent problem I had with the car not starting. I replaced the battery, alternator, clock and other electrical things before they figured out it was the ignitition switch. Im disappointed and will never buy a Honda or Acura vehicle again. Think twice before you buy...

I expected better from Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
By lucy jo - August 24 - 2:03 amIt has been fine, until I made my last payment, I have had to have the motor mounts replaced (over $500!). Now some console lights go on and off and my fuel light doesnt work anymore and the dealer said they would have to pull everything apart and charge me to find out why it doesnt work.

Love the car but... - 2008 Honda Accord
By rendar - August 23 - 10:26 amI love almost everything about this car. The look. The way it drives. Fuel economy is good (I see complaints but I get very close to EPA estimates). Very quiet (again, Ive seen complaints, but for me it is quieter than any car Ive ever owned). Very good power for 4 cyl. My only complaint is comfort. The front seats are extremely uncomfortable after anything more than 15 minutes of driving due to what I see as a design flaw, the seat curvature is too great, and even with the lumbar support all the way retracted, it still feels like there is some type of bar sticking out in the wrong part of my back (I am 63" and my wife 51" and we both have issues with it).

Still love it - 2003 Honda Accord
By sickbxy - August 21 - 10:00 amI love the handling and ride and the interior ergonomic are great. The only issues I have had is within 6 month one of the cup holder tabs broke and the just recently the inside drivers side door handle broke and now I have to open the door from the outside.

Great Engine, Horrible Quality - 2003 Honda Accord
By jenny - August 21 - 10:00 amThis car has a fabulous engine and transmission. It is very fun to drive. However, dont hit the turns quickly because the suspension is too high and the stock tires are awful. We bough the Accord because of the stellar reputation of Honda, but this one is a piece of junk. In 7 months weve had both window moldings replaced (no biggie), compartment door (below stereo) replaced TWICE and the sunglass holder replaced. The big item is that there is water leaking into the roof because the windshield is separating from the molding. The A-pillar, C- pillar and whole roof lining are all being replaced. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Pretty happy so far - 2003 Honda Accord
By lolly - August 21 - 10:00 amLoved car in showroom. Driving has some limitations, especially poor visibility on right rear side, as high rear end and rear headrest impede visibility when switching lanes to the right or exiting freeways. Have to check and double check that nothing is in very large blind spots even when turning around. Door lock controls do not illuminate on arm rest althought window controls do and so I have trouble finding it to quickly lock doors at night. Preferred last years door lock controls. Seat belt retraction leaves marks on pillar and side of backrest.

2003 Accord Initial Review - 2003 Honda Accord
By ordTrib - August 21 - 10:00 amThe 03 Honda Accord EX-L Automatic is what you expect from Honda: safe, reliable, and equipped with many useful options. The 2.4L i-VTEC provides decent performance in the 4 cyl class, and is only slightly less powerful than the VW/Audi 1.8T motor. Automatic transmission performance is smooth, and fuel economy is excellent.

Accord - 2001 Honda Accord
By Lenny Mai - August 21 - 2:28 amI own a 01 Lx V6 coupe and my cousin has a 2000 TL. believe me the interior is very much alike leather and trim. Accord is the fun car to drive even though it lacked in speed, but after some basic modifications it can be real tough competitor with the 3.0liter SOHC 24valve
