Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Transmission Failure - 1999 Honda Accord
By Not - August 31 - 2:00 amI bought my EXV6 new, and needed to replace the transmission at 42,000 miles after doing all maintenance recommended by the owners manual and more. Honda ate 75% of the $5700 cost after one month of bugging them. Honda extended the tranny warranty on 00-01 models, but neglected to do so with the 98-99 with the same transmission. Requests to Honda to explain any differences between 98-99 and 00-01 transmissions have gone unanswered. EGR valve replaced at 60,000 miles under extended warranty. Stereo replaced at 52,000 miles because of constant CD skipping. Ignition harnesses were recalled on many of these cars - be careful!

Honda EX 1992 - 1992 Honda Accord
By EXBOY - August 30 - 9:15 pmI have been driving this 1992 EX Sedan since I got it right off the truck with 4 miles on it. The car still runs like a brand new Honda.

68000 mile review - 2001 Honda Accord
By Liberty_05 - August 28 - 12:47 pmThe Accord is the perfect all-around sedan for those who cannot afford a BMW (or those smart enough not to invest their hard earned money into rapidly depreciating assets at luxury prices). The Accord is sporty enough with a peppy engine and taut suspension to be really fun to zip around in. The car comfortably fits our family of four and has been a great stop-and-go hauler around town as well as a great highway touring sedan. Mechanically the car has been flawless. We have only had to replace a battery, oil and filters. The biggest drawback has been the length and turning radius making it sometimes difficult to park

Great car, as reliable as they come - 1996 Honda Accord
By Ken - August 28 - 6:31 amI bought this car at 98K miles. For the two years I have driven it, I have not had any problems with it - everything works, no breakdowns, no funny noises, etc. A quick check shows the resale value has hardly depreciated and its not surprising why that is so. On recent trips, Ive averaged 31 miles on the highway. This car has been very good to my wallet and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of buying it.

Phenomenal Vehicle! - 2006 Honda Accord
By Rob Mack - August 27 - 3:33 amI absolutely love my Accord EX-L. I traded in a Chevy Blazer for this car and Im glad I did! The Accord handles so incredibly well and is appointed in such a fashion to make you think you are driving a luxury vehicle. I went with the leather model to give it that extra touch of class, and it does it quite well. Everything inside the vehicle makes driving it so incredibly fun. I find myself just taking it out for a quick spin on the open road. Its hard to believe its a family sedan.

Honda continues to improve - 2003 Honda Accord
By Edn - August 25 - 10:00 amGreat vehicle. First automatic in 15 years, but very impressed with smooth operation and ability of ttransmission to selct optimal gear. 4 cylinder engine has great power, and the suspension is taut and responsive without the bone jarring set up used in the 6 cylinder sedan.

Glad I Chose The Accord - 2003 Honda Accord
By New Honda Driver - August 25 - 10:00 amThe Honda Accord is a great car. I chose the 4-cylinder engine for the fuel economy. It has plenty of pep with the manual transmission, however it feels a little weak compared to the 8- and 6- cylinder engines Ive owned over the last several years. I do think the fuel savings is worth the trade-off. This car has plenty of room for my family of four. Eventhough it is a sedan it still looks quite sporty. The audio system gives great sound reproduction with no distortion. I am definitely satisfied with this purchase.
