Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Just buy it already. - 2013 Honda Accord

Love the cvt. The black color is expensive looking. Attracts a crowd everywhere it is parked. I am 63" and have tons of leg room and head room. Stereo sucks when set on radio, but sounds good through Aux. or blu. It is just 4 speakers and reminds me of the sound of my car stereos from the 80s and 90s. It is fast and handles well. Ride is sporty firm, but still very comfortable. The goodyear tires are OK, but would rather have had the Michelins. The interior lighting is lacking and looks kind of cheap when the dome light is lit. Headlights are bright. Arm rest is perfect. Steering wheel is good size and easy to grip. I am thinking about buying a another one to drive i like it that much.

  • Glad I selected the Sport model - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased my first Honda after trading in my 2003 Mazda6s and so far I have been pleased. It lacks the performance of my old V6 mazda, but still performs well overall. The mpg has been around 30 combined on 50/50 mixed highway/local driving. I tested the Altima, Accord, & Fusion and ultimately the Accord won for the value and what Im hoping will be long term reliability. The interior is nice and spacious, though the front headrests are a little uncomfortable unless you position the seat appropriately. I havent noticed wind noise with my vehicle as other reviews stated, so maybe it is not present on the Sport models. Take a hwy test drive if you can to test for the problem.

  • Great Car! Review after 8 months ownership - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Im extremely please with the car. Ive got about 22,000 miles on it and its nicely broken in. On a recent trip to the Outer Banks, NC, I got over 600 miles on a tank of gas, averaging 38.2 mpg! Driving on NC 12 up Hattaras Island at 55-60mph, I averaged 46.3 mpg for the hour drive north to get off the island. Amazing!! I agree that the CVT will not be for everyone, but I like the fact that I get awesome mileage in a very well built, good looking car. Speaker quality is excellent with a digital device, so dont judge sound system until you plug in your own device!

  • Not a bad car but not a great car - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought it used with about 38K on it and it has 76K on the it now. I drive roughly 19K a year and have had no major issues. Got the rear brakes taken care of with the Honda settlement. It gets me from point A to B just fine. The interior is just ok. Seats are not comfortable for long drives and the driver side showing signs of wear. There is a lot of road noise and the car ride is a little floaty. There a are a few rattles. I replaced the stock wheels with the V6 Accord rims which improved handling a bit (wider rim size). Also will put on TSX sway bar. VCM can get annoying at times but thats how it gets the better gas mileage.

  • Hidden gem in the sport coupe class - 2011 Honda Accord
    By -

Most people are looking at Ford Mustangs or Chevy Camaros or even Dodge Challengers when shopping for a sport coupe. Time to rethink. This super reliable gem has 271 horsepower, accelerates 0-60 in around 6 seconds, and is extremely responsive. Factor in the amenities like a 270 watt stereo system, power windows, power locks, 2 position memory seating, leather seats, sunroof, dual zone climate control, Bluetooth interface, paddle shifters, TPMS, Oil Life Monitor, 18 inch wheels.... well you get the picture. Its loaded, classy, reliable and looks fantastic. I look forward to every drive. The only thing Ive noticed is a slight push when driving hard through turns. But still top notch vehicle

  • Aint an Aston Martin but its Pretty Darn A-Okay - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

These reviews kill me. People gripe about stuff they should have noticed on the test drive. They obviously didnt do their due diligence and now theyre pissed at themselves for buying a car that doesnt please them. Well, duh. I bought this one with 48k miles, now its at 70k. Its been great! Yes, it has road noise and yes, a bit of body roll. I knew that going in. The steering and front end are excellent. The engine (V6) and transmission are strong and very fast. Its been reliable with no complaints. I drive it a bit hard so the fuel mileage averages 24 city & highway. On a long trip its comfortable and quick. If you find one properly serviced, drive it first, then buy the sucker!

  • Will not die - 1996 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my accord (LX, 4 cylinder, automatic) upon graduating high school in 2004. It had 113,000 or so miles at that time, and its been my only car until now (2013), and now sits at 247,000 miles. I have driven it all over the country, and cannot believe its still in such great condition. Minor repairs, a new paint job in 2009, and thats it. I have never heard of another car this reliable, and I would highly recommend it if you can find one to purchase!

  • Hondas keep you safe, great family car - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I have had my 2006 Honda since it was brand new. It has been my favorite car I have ever owned. It holds its retail value like no other. I called it my baby, I always wanted one when I was younger. Well I have the luxury of being able to say my baby saved my life on Tuesday when a 74 year old lady ran a red light and tboned me. My side and curtain air bags went off. My baby, my Honda saved my life, she didnt fair too well :( but she did her job like she was suppose to. After everything is settled headed to buy my second Honda Accord.

  • Disappointed - 2010 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchase the V6 EX-L early in 2010. Starting at 40,000 the car started to "consume" oil. The dealer says that it is normal to "consume 1 quart per 1000 miles. This is completely ridiculous. People say well oil isnt that expensive, just add as needed. I am concerned about the long term reliability. I am also appalled that all the service people at the dealer say it is normal. This is a company problem and I will not own another Honda.

  • One Great Car - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned my Accord for 1 year 5 months now. Its been a great car to me other than me having to have the transmission replaced. Dont expect yours to crap out on you though, the previous owner only had the fluid changed 1 time in 100,000 miles. Bad idea. Oh well, other than that its been great! Just usual maintenance is all its needed. It feels like a very solid car, i get 25-27 mpg routinely and all i do is drive to school and work. Its in good shape overall, i do detail it every week. The paint still looks great. Mine has 110,000 miles on it now and it still drives great. VERY smooth 4 cylinder engine and more than enough pick up, this thing is peppy! continued in favorite features section.
