Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Better than ever - 2004 Honda Accord

The accord just does what I want it to do -- It starts every time, drives with some fun and spirit, never breaks, and even looks a little racey.

  • not sorry i bought it - 2004 Honda Accord

after waiting 13 years to buy another car (with the expectation that i will have this car for quite a while, as well) i decided on the accord EX-L. i did a lot of researching and test drove a number of cars before settling on the accord. i am very happy with it. it handles really well and gas mileage is phenomenal, especially in my situation where i do a lot of short trips vs regular highway driving. there is a lot of interior storage, which my previous car was sadly missing, so i no longer have to store my sunglasses jammed between the seat and the console. im not second guessing my decision.

  • Hard to beat the Honda Accord at $25K - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Very smooth, very quiet, excellent interior for a car that costs $25K. Controls and switches are best-in-any- class. The engine, always Hondas forte, is incredible. Seats are a big improvement over previous generations and might be the best car seats Ive ever experienced. Exterior styling is OK, except the rear-view (of the 4dr sedan) needs to be reconsidered.

  • Great Car - 2000 Honda Accord

Great car to drive. Only complaints is that although im not sure where the noise is coming from its either the shade or the sunroof that squeaks when open while going over something like a speed bump. They also could have put better tires on the car. Had to replace after 36000 miles. Is it normal to get approx 300 miles to a full tank of gas???

  • Good Value - 2003 Honda Accord

I have been driving this car for 2 1/2 years now and have had a few minor problems. The OEM Bridgestone tires needed replacements around 25,000 miles. The brakes also went around the same time. I had the pads and rotors replaced free of charge at a local dealership. The cable for the trunk/gas lid also broke and was replaced under warranty. I got the car at a bargain price and have been extremely pleased with it. I did add two rear speakers (wiring was already set up). The car does not have AC or PDLs like the LX, but you really cant beat its value. It is pretty peppy for a 4 cylinder.

  • Gets funner with tuning - 1990 Honda Accord
    By -

My first car and by far the best car my family has ever owned. Its been in 4 accidents totaled twice and I can still push it. Its easy to work on and get better performance with the abundance of aftermarket parts. I had mine repainted but it got scratched so the old white paint still shines new. With $50 in suspension worth it handles like a BMW. Comfort wise comparable to a Benz. I will be very, very, very sad when I sell her to get something newer.

  • The best car Ive ever owned - 1994 Honda Accord
    By -

The car has never dissapointed me, or let me down. It is so comfortable, on long drives you dont feel like stopping. The car should have come with wider wheels and more HP for a 2.2 liter. But other than that, the interior and exterior build quality is fantastic. The problem is I would like to buy a newer Accord, but I cant seem to let this go as it seems more sturdy!

  • Driving Ms. Honda - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my 99 Accord EX 5-speed new and have changed the oil every 3K miles and kept up with other routine maintenance. When I did my maintenance I only used Honda parts and found everthing to last tremendously longer than the OEMs. Second set of front brakes lasted 70K, back 77K. This was my second Accord...some thief liked my 96. This car is worth every penny I and the insurance company paid...I currently have nearly 100K miles and I still get awesome gas mileage...29 city/36 highway...better than the guesstimate from Honda. Oh yea...every once in a while I think about getting rid of it but then I get in it and am reminded why I love it. And at $3.00/gallon, the mileage cant be beat

  • Solid Car for the Money - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Traded in my 95 Accord EX w/ 218k miles for another Accord. Why? I drive 100 miles daily and need safe and reliable transportation. I figure Ill drive 25k miles annually. Looked at VW and Toyota but found Toyota bland and was scared off by the ever present electrical issues found with VW (as with most German made cars - go figure!). I can confidently drive my Honda knowing Ive bought a solid, safe and reliable vehicle. Its not a sexy pick, but you dont buy an Accord for sexiness and sporting appeal rather you buy it for its solid reliability and resale value. Have 15k miles on it and so far no problems. All this car needs is regular maintenance and youre good to go!

  • 92 Honda Accord - 1992 Honda Accord

No matter how many times we think were going to replace this thing, it just doesnt make sense to do so. Pre- dating our first child by three years, it will probably be the one she learns to drive. It runs great, and any repairs are predictable and occasional. Great highway car and great for tooling up, down, and all around hilly roads. Excellent handling on curves. Will probably replace our old Accord someday with a newer Accord.
