This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.
Cons:

  • Great Deal on a Great Car - LX/4d/AT - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Recently bought my LX/4d/AT/with Side Airbags for $17900 over the internet from Twee Mai at Family Honda in Orange County, CA. Got a price that was $800 below invoice (incl. delivery). Much better price than any of the San Diego dealers would sell for. Great car that is a HUGE improvement over my old 1996 Toyota Camry. While others may think this is a plain model, I really like the high quality CD player, door unlocking with auto window opening, and smooth driving car and engine. Maybe next car will be more luxurious, but Im happy to save the extra $$s for other stuff.

  • My first car - 2004 Honda Accord

I chose the Honda Accord as my first car after having the experience of many other makes and model cars. It gives the feeling of a luxury car without the luxury price. And I got a great deal on the leather interior and moon roof features. The ride is smooth and the controls are at your finger tip. There is room enough fro our infant son plus a couple of friends. With an infant it was also important that we got a car with a great safety rating. All in all we got a great bang for our buck.

  • Best Car Ive ever driven - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

By far Honda Accord is the best car out there! Reliability, durability and comfort all come into one with this extrordinary car! An excellent choice to purchase when shopping for a new vehicle. Beware of the dealerships that dont want to come down in price on them. For my particular 04 Accord EX w/ leather and Navigation, the dealer recieves a $1000 rebate to them. Make sure and get that money applied to YOUR purchase!

  • Love the car! HATE the paint! - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought a black Honda Accord. Loved the look, Black on Black. I didnt have the car 6 mos & began to have paint troubles. The paint all over was chipping down to bare metal. Especially on the hood. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was an isolated incident. Yeah right! My car looks terrible.

  • Best Shopping Expierience... - 2004 Honda Accord

This new Accord v-6 6 spd is unbievable. It drives smoother than anything else i compared it to (maxima, solara, is300, c320) The best part of buying my new car was he dealership I purchased it at. Gregg Martella my salesman was outstanding in understanding my needs and finding me the car that met all my needs. Herb Chambers in Burlington.

  • 4 dr Ferrari - 2004 Honda Accord

We traded up from the 2002 EX V6, an excellent car. But now its like wow! The sound system is better. The navigation system. The interior room even larger. Performance with the 240hp V6 is breathtaking. The ride is more sportier this year with 16"wheels and a tighter suspension but still very comfortable. The drive by wire(no throttle cable) actually gives smoother throttle response, especially from a stop. Dual climate control is heaven. You can have the vehicle do or change whatever you want it to do just by asking it. Great voice recognition and the trip computer with all its various function are great.

  • Another winner - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my 9th Honda and they just keep getting them faster, more comfortable, thriftier and overall nicer! What more can you ask for from a car or its manufacturer?

  • great accelaration and 20+mpg WOW - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has decent accelaration for a family sedan. If you turn off the traction control system it will burn rubber. I had an Audi A4 with a V6 and this car blows it away and has a larger back seat. Plus I am averaging 22 mpg and I drive fast. Brakes are a little touchy. The headliner and carpet are a little on the cheap side but the seats are very bolstered with nice leather AND heated. XM radio rules! Very happy with this car and the resale value on Honda Accords makes me even more confident that I bought the right car.

  • Better deal than TL - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my Accord in Jan. and have 1000 miles on it with zero defects. I wanted an Acura TL with navi and they were going for MSRP with limited availability. The Accord is nearly as good - just lacking prestige. Once you get in the car and operate it, you feel like you are driving perfection. You forget you are in a Honda "family" car. This is the fastest and smoothest car I driven. Its a vast improvement over the 89 Acura Legend it replaced (except in styling). I added a rear deck lid spoiler, splash guards and chrome exhaust tips to improve on the plane-jane looks. Its good to go.

  • Some Problems with Honda Accord 2004 - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car (2004 Accord EX with manual transmission) because of its outstanding safety features. But it has been unreliable. It had two electrical failures under 1000 miles and had to be towed twice. But this problem was finally corrected by the service dept. What is much more troubling is that both the front and back bumper covers were damaged by regular winter conditions. Ive been driving in, over, and through snow/ice for 30 years in Toyota cars, and never had any front or rear end damage. The bill for the repair is over $1300. Even though I enjoy driving the car, Ill probably trade it in as soon as I can afford to.
