Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Clunker Coupe - 2004 Honda Accord
By Angel G - December 3 - 10:00 amI have the 2003 model essentially the same. Transmission leaks twice. Tensioner pulley went out. Motor Mounts installed incorrectly. Windows being scratched by something in door. Trunk liner sagging. Rattling in back. Key is hot when you pull it out. Automatic tranny slugish after 40mph. Springs are too soft. Get some eibach sport kit springs. Steering wheel fading and armrest. Noisy idle when air conditioner on. Air conditioner recycles a lot. Paint kind of cheap. Ding city so try not to park by people. Aero line asking for dings. Dont get the Paint protector rip off! You can hear wind noise from windshield. Brakes shake a little.

Excellent Car and Value - 2004 Honda Accord
By gmonea - December 3 - 10:00 amThis car is smooth and accelerates well, although the handling could be improved slightly. The quality is excellent. This is our third and best Accord yet. XM Radio is great feature and stereo is great for stock. We purchased ours for $23,800, which was $1,400 less than Edmunds True Market Value for zip code at the time.

Back to Honda - 2004 Honda Accord
By Annie - December 3 - 10:00 amAfter owning a 1998 A4 and loving how it drove, but hating the numerous little mechanical failures I went back to Honda in November, 2003. Love the comfort and reliability of the car. Miss the all-wheel drive and handling of the A4, but nothing else.

Example of good engineering. - 2005 Honda Accord
By BMS - December 1 - 12:10 pmThis car is very well-thought-out. Interior is very comfortable, ride a good compromise between handling & smoothness. Engine is very quiet & smooth for a 4, except for a slight vibration at about 900RPM (3-5MPH), which I am told is "normal" for this car but is mildly annoying. Quiet on highway, except for slight, nconsequential road noise on rough pavement. Steering feels sporty for its size on the highway, although in this regard my 94 Accord was a little better. The car feels more powerful than it is. Overall, this car does everything well and nothing poorly and is, in my opinion, the best overall choice in its class.

Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord
By DB - December 1 - 3:23 amWanted the sedan but they dont make the V6 with a manual in the sedan. So I bought A saphire blue Two door with black leather interior. The car is my 4th Honda and they only get better. This car still pulls from 65 mph in 6th gear! 17in wheels and nice.

Accord is fantastic - 2008 Honda Accord
By johnboy - November 30 - 9:03 pmI have had this car for 2 months and is every thing that i need. Very peppy engine great fuel mileage 28-30 combined. I looked at the Malibu before purchase and the difference was huge. There is a great difference in the engines, gee i wonder why Honda runs 4 cyl in the INDY CARS! I am still trying to figure out the complaints on the road noise, very little that I here. Keep up the great work HONDA This is a great car!

Probably the best sedan in 2008 - 2008 Honda Accord
By wizbee - November 30 - 12:13 amI owned this car for only a week, but I am pleasantly surprised by its performance and build quality. The 190 HP engine is more than enough power that I needed. I have compared all sedans in this category feature to feature and believe me: none of the others can match Honda Accords price point for the same features. It gives a sporty driving feel and offers a very comfortable Highway ride. Some people complained about noise. But the fact is typical Honda has more overall noise than say a Toyota. But it is quite tolerable. In fact if you turn on your radio, you dont even feel it. I have done comparisons with similarly equipped hybrids, but I still cant justify the cost at even $5 a gallon

Still going strong - 1991 Honda Accord
By Marks - November 28 - 6:49 pmThis 4-door DX we bought new has gone almost 130,000 miles, and has been in daily use for 14 years. This year we broke down and replaced the motor mounts to eliminate some engine vibration. The only other significant expenses have been two timing belts and two mufflers. This car continues to amaze us with its durable good looks, inside and out, and its reliable performance. It has become almost a member of the family! Guess well keep on postponing any thoughts of replacing it. Wish all cars were this good.

My Accord - 2002 Honda Accord
By tombob - November 28 - 6:23 pmOverall a great, reliable car. Ive never had any problems with it and it now has 53k on it. Handles very well and gets good gas mileage. Its not the most exciting car to drive, but it gets me from point a to b. Upgraded to rims instead of hubcaps and it is a nice touch. The eternal blue is a very pretty color and I have received many comments on it. Trunk spoiler is a must. The 4 cyl could have more power, doesnt really have a lot of power when accelerating. Cloth seats are still in good shape as well as carpet and floor mats.
