This Year's Model Updates:

Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

  • Great car without the "fun factor"... - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Honda once again manages to build a quality vehicle. Great conmfort and power package for under $30K. Powerful engine at high rpms but sedan V6 would benefit from manual transmission or manumatic. Stopping distance adequate but disappointing, and brake wear/life is is pitiful. Otherwise, a nice entry- level family sedan with many features for the money... But if youre looking for a "fun-to- drive" element in this vehicle, you may be disappointed; that is why I sold my 2004 Accord EX-V6 so I could invest in a more gratifying sedan experience...

Great car for the money. Excellent gas mileage: St. Louis to Chicago on a half of tank of gas. Excellent cruise control features make Accord very efficient

I LOVE my new Honda. Its so sporty and I feel safe with the weight of the car. All in all I think I made a good choice.

  • Great Car - 2005 Honda Accord

Our 2005 Accord replaced our 1999 Accord. Its a much better car than the previous generation. It is the best midsized sedan on the market today. Bought the car thru the internet department, and recived a great price.

  • The Accord is a quality car! - 2005 Honda Accord

I just bought a 2-door LX Accord Coupe (4-cyl.,automatic) and it is a great car! It seems to handle better than my Camry did and the ride is just as smooth. The car is reasonably quiet inside and unlike the Camry, I do not hear any annoying vibrations coming from the dash and other places. The Accord seems to be a well-built, reliable and fun car. Though it is a 4-cylinder, it has plenty of power when needed and still gets great mileage. I am hooked on this car.

  • The Most Solid 25K Sedan on the Road! - 2005 Honda Accord

This is my third Accord in 7 years and they still surprise me with innovation and design. Exterior design lacks somewhat, but there are more important things like safety, ride, features for the money and reliability. XM radio is great and all the controls are easy to use and reach. Honda is bar none the best engine builder in the world. This engine is a 3 liter engine and so powerful yet good on gas unless you punch it.

  • The Accord Hybrid - 2005 Honda Accord

I purchased my hybrid Accord without the navigation system in December, 2004 and already have over 8,500 miles on it. The car has been an absolute pleasure to own -- very reliable, quiet, comfortable and easy to drive, even in the Michigan winter. My mileage, driving mostly highway miles, has averaged 29.2 mpg but that is increasing as the weather warms (Im sure due to the gas-saving features warming up sooner). For those concerned that the loss of trunk space (because of the battery) will be significant -- fear not -- this vehicle can still easily carry a weeks worth of groceries or luggage.

  • Mileage Surprise - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

EPA rates this V6 Honda EX at 22/28 MPG, but I have found that the mileage is much better, at least for highway driving. I curise at 65 to 70+ MPH on the road and have consistantly computed 35 MPG and sometimes 38. On opnly one occasion I got 33. With the cost of gas this is a nice surprise. Since the car is new, I expect that mileage to get better over time. The rest of the car is excellent, but thats why I bought it. The XM radio is fun.

  • What more do you want? - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I just bought this car about a week ago, and I couldnt be more happy with it. Its been a pleasure to drive and feels like a luxury car. The V6 is sporty, but Im still able to get 30mpg on the freeway (driving the limit ;-)) I love the layout of the interior, much more so than the comperable Nissans, Toyotas, or Mazdas. The voice commands are also great, keeps my hands on the wheel. This is my first Honda and I am quite impressed, I was reading some of the reviews here that have rattles, mine is whisper quiet. Some of the reviews also say it needs better brakes, I think they are great. I got a good deal on the last sedan with navi on the lot, great value for the money; highly recomended.

  • Accord vs. Altima - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I was prepared to replace my 2003 Altima with a 2005 model until I checked prices. The Altima starts with a low base price than you need to add options. When I was finished adding options, the Accord was about $1000 less than the Altima. With the higher resale of the Accord, the purchasing decision was a no-brainer.
