Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Great car, except for the rattles - 2003 Honda Accord
By rtc - December 9 - 10:00 amWhen I bought this car it was between the Accord and the Mazda 6. The deciding factor for me was the Accords interior, it is beautiful... BUT, it has a lot of rattles. Had the car for a week and a rattle developed directly over the drivers head between the grab handle and the sunroof (very annoying). There are multiple rattles in the dash. There are rattles in the headliner in the rear, the list goes on... Other than that the car is fantastic, great power, comfortable, OK gas mileage. All that being said, it may get traded in on a new Mazda 6 hatch or wagon.

Think Twice - 2008 Honda Accord
By Gil - December 9 - 5:23 amIf you are thinking of buying a 2008 Honda Accord 6 cylinder, I would suggest you think twice and drive it more than just a test drive. The VCM is terrible. I would not buy the car again because of this "feature". The service department told me there was nothing they could do and to go back to sales. The surging (even at times on cruise) is terribly annoying. Otherwise, the car is outstanding.

Finally Arrived - 2008 Honda Accord
By nice ride - December 7 - 5:43 pmReplaced old reliable 98 accord 5 spd with this car. Have been waiting a good year for it and I am generally pleased. Corners flatter than old Accord, although it seems a little slower, despite the bump in hp. The seats are very firm, but getting used to this. Fit and finish seems very nice so far. The stereo is not great, despite the specs, and I will probably change the rear speakers, which are mediocre. Back seat is expansive, great for three growing kids, one of the real plusses of this car. The stick is very smooth, and this really allows one to appreciate the vtec engine. Mileage so far is the big disappointment, low 20s, old Accord was never below 27mpg.

What Happened to Reliable Work? - 1998 Honda Accord
By Christy Luper - December 6 - 11:20 pmI love Hondas. My first car was a 89 Accord, and I drove that car all over the U.S. and it never broke down on me. That car looked great, but it was getting really old, so I went for a newer Honda, and bought a 1998 Honda Accord, I love my car. It has everything I want in it. My only disapointment is the poor paint job. The paint is fading on the top of the car from sitting in the sun all day while Im at work. Honda used to be the best quality car out there, but I am very disapointed in the cheap paint. But the car still runs great. but it will eventually look like a piece of junk, and thats really upsetting to me.

Still A Fan - 2007 Honda Accord
By KD - December 6 - 6:30 amLong time Honda driver. Owned this car since 08/2007, loved it then, love it now. Read some reviews complaining of a pull to the right and I had the same problem. I was patient and it eventually resolved itself at 6000 miles. Considering the decent power, even at highway speeds, I get decent mileage. 24 mpg city, 32 mpg highway. A/c always on, and spirited acceleration while not over-speeding. Did a little experiment and drove over 450 miles @ 70 mph on one tank till it stopped dead on the road (had fuel in trunk-just me letting my inner boy play). Lumbar support is good, seats are comfy while supportive. Audio system isnt Bose, but still very crisp. Had zero problems with the car.

Accord Coupe V6 6MT == FUN FUN FUN - 2008 Honda Accord
By 6MTCoupe08 - December 6 - 2:16 amIncredibly fun vehicle to drive. I used to drive an RSX and with my new Accord I dont miss it one bit. Great acceleration, handles turns really well and feels rock solid. Interior is nice. The model came standard with most features that I liked like satellite radio, leather, chrome handles, etc...

Almost the perfect car - 2017 Honda Accord
By TJ Tucker - December 6 - 2:13 amCar and Driver had the temerity to run this car alongside the Mercedes E class, and declared the Accord the winner, hands down. And I concur. Its bigger inside, rides as well, and the V-6 engine positively blows away the coarse, pressurized 4-cyl that the E-class now sticks you with. That said, the Accord has also begun the industry-wide degradation of perfection, even if its not as far down that road as others. The electrically boosted power steering is not in the same league as the previous hydraulic systems. First, on-center feel is non-existent, when it used to be so vivid. Second, Hondas hydraulic systems used to give you a constant stream of feedback, informing you what was happening at the contact patches of the tires. Any slip angles would give you that gentle tug at the wheel, so you knew what to expect. Even textures came through. I traded in a 10 year old Accord, so the contrast is striking to me. The current one is simply numb. It transforms what should be the worlds best sports sedan into a Lexus. Agreeable, but devoid of any involvement. My other gripe is the entertainment system. If not for the steering wheel mounted buttons, it would be un-usable. It is finnicky with all the touch buttons that dont like to respond, and the menus are Byzantine. Definitely degrades the experience. But its still the best choice out there. Its just that the bar has been lowered, across the board. Nobody makes great cars anymore, and Honda has not degraded as far as former leaders like BMW. Yet.

Made wrong decision? - 2009 Honda Accord
By Bob Conklin - December 5 - 9:50 amThis newly designed Honda is peppy and enjoyable to drive but dont believe the fuel economy ratings. We are responsible, experienced adult drivers and only seeing 17-18 MPG for local driving. Long, highway driving about 22 MPG. Also, cheap plastic on dash squeaks and creaks during cold weather. Plus, auto shifter clunky and not smooth. FM radio with weak reception forces satellite subscription. Suggest comparison drive of the new Chevrolet Malibu and Nissan Altima before deciding on Accord.

Great Choice for Family & Fun - 2008 Honda Accord
By eyc51k - December 4 - 6:40 amLove the car all around. Comfort is great for my six foot 215 lbs. Stereo rocks. Handles great with solid quick response. Mileage is great considering the size and the power more than enough. Excellent visibility. I drive a 140 miles daily and this car make it a pleasure. My only negative-- I donÂ’t really like the electronic mirror because I have sensitive eyes. I was told by Honda service it canÂ’t be replaced because of wiring harness. I opted for fog lights which are costly, my only extra along with mud flaps.
