Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

V6 Not Up To Snuff Disappointing Mileage - 2008 Honda Accord
By BlancaHouston - December 14 - 12:23 amIn trading in our Chevy Avalanche we had expectations of good fuel economy and an excellent driving experience in buying a fully loaded Accord V6. In reality we have been very disappointed our in city mileage is 16-17 and highway is better at 27.4, this is driving very slow, taking off at stop lights at a snails pace, coasting to the next stop light and putting the cruise control on and running at 30 miles per hr in city. Driving 55 miles per hr between Houston and Austin this slow is very painful, boring to drv,Our Avalanche averaged 15 city with a very comfortable seat and only 20 highway but the vast majority of our driving is in the city not a good trade off. We are trading the Honda

Nice, but over-rated - 2007 Honda Accord
By ljd - December 13 - 1:26 pmAlthough I am happy with my first Honda, I feel they are somewhat over-rated. The Accord EX-L V6 sedans ride is very firm and can be punishing on some road surfaces. The paint has some orange peel and is very susceptible to stone chips and scratches, particularly on the front edge of the hood. Some of the ergonomics and features are quirky. However, its averaging 23 MPG in a daily commute, and it looks great in Nighthawk Black Pearl.

Its GGGRRREEAATTT!!!!! - 1995 Honda Accord
By Teddys mommy - December 12 - 10:00 amI love my baby. This is my first car and its 7 years old. Ive driven from home to Pittsburgh at least 10 times and I have yet to be dissatified by the ride, comfort level, or dependendability. My commute to work is 100 miles a day; I couldnt ask for a better car.

My accord isnt fun a fun car - 1994 Honda Accord
By Disappointed owner - December 12 - 10:00 amIt has good looks and interior. However, while the car is quick, it doesnt provide driving fun as I have to slow down upon corners due to its imprecise steering and mediocare suspension (not as good as my 93 Mazda 626ES). Reliablity? Good for the first 5 years but only ok at 57,500 miles (serviced regularly). Quite a few rattles, silly alarm often cut off my fuel suddenly in the middle of a highway (dangerous), right headlight burnt out twice per year, engine stalled a few times and master cylinder of my power brakes failed. But according to the many nice reviews here, maybe I am the only one who got a lemon.

more time in the shop than on the road - 2002 Honda Accord
By jonesy - December 12 - 10:00 amThey got me! Yep I got suckered in by the hype of hondas being super reliable. Ive had the car a total of six months and its been in the shop more than its been on the road. Transmission problems, ac doesnt cool, numerous electrical problems and the engine developed a loud ticking noise after two months driving. I wish I never bought this car.

Good Solid Appliance - 2010 Honda Accord
By canso67 - December 11 - 7:46 amIts my 1st Accord and though only 2,000 miles on it, I like the cars tight steering and solid handling. Its far from exciting. If I had the choice I would have gone with the 5 spd manual but my wife drive the car daily and cant handle it.
