Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Mixed review - 1994 Honda Accord
By Mixed review - December 24 - 10:14 pmThe car runs great at 94,000 miles but the drivers window had to be repaired 6 times the hand brake got stuck in they up position, the trans. got stuck in the drive position, each time the alarm is activated the radio asks for a security code - it is only suppose to do that when the battery dies and that happened about 5 times, the seats that fold down in the rear bounce back up, and the sunroof gets stuck periodicaly and theres nothing the dealership can do! Beware of this piece of junk!!

Spoiled by Hondas - 2008 Honda Accord
By Tom B. - December 23 - 9:33 pmI had an 98 Acura 3.0CL on which I put 175,000 miles. Since Acura no longer makes coupes, I went with the Honda because Ive been spoiled. The 3.5 in the Honda is very similar to the 3.0 I had. I loved that engine and it was easy to work on so my choice was easy. So far, I love this engine too although its different with VCM. Honda says the VCM works seamlessly but my experience is a little different. When it goes to 4 cylinders, you cant feel it. When it goes to 3, you can. When it goes back to 6, you cant feel it unless youre pulling a grade. Its not objectionable and the increase in mpg is worth it (22-23 city, 28-30 hwy). Watch out for a blind spot on the passenger side.

2006 Souped-Up Accord Rocks - 2006 Honda Accord
By Honda Owner X - December 23 - 2:13 pmThis car is more than I expected it would be. The transition from gear to gear is exceptionally smooth, and the car seems to float along the road. Its quick too, I was doing over 90 on the interstate without even knowing it (but a state trooper knew it when he clocked me with his radar gun). Jerk. The car has endless features too, from the XM radio, to the Navigation computer, to multitudes of voice- activated commands, and the fact that the computer tells you when you need an oil change, tire rotation, etc. by keeping track of your driving, maintiaing the car is a breeze. Plus, Im averaging over 30 miles per gallon on my way to work (which is not all highway). Sweet ride!

Impressed - 1990 Honda Accord
By In love with Honda - December 20 - 5:50 amBought this great car from my uncle three years ago. almost 198,000 miles now and still running strong. Easy for self repairs and modifications. Great gas mileage with a peppy 2.0L four banger. Catches the eyes of street racers with a sleek long sporty body style. Really gets up and goes. A classic reliable Honda. Starts up in my hometowns 112 degree summers and our chilly sub freezing winters and handles like a dream in the snow and ice. Great car for travel or short commute. Only downside, used parts are hard to find in junk yards... But only because these cars are still on the road due to dependable Honda engineering.

97 Honda Accord LX - 5 Speed - 1997 Honda Accord
By mlippysr - December 20 - 2:00 amThis is an excellent car to drive. With a manual 5 speed, it has acceleration that can compete with the best. Very low maintenance and minimal manufacturers recalls.

A Well Oiled Machine - 2003 Honda Accord
By grillmanaccord - December 20 - 2:00 amI bought my Accord to replace a leased 2000 VW Passat. The Accord doesnt ride as well or feel as solid as the Passat did, But I know it wont fall apart Like the Passat did. Too bad because VW could rule the world if they had the quality and reliability most Japanese brands have.

What a Bang for the money! - 2003 Honda Accord
By sweet_joe - December 20 - 2:00 amI traded in my 1999 Passat for 2003 Accord. What a car for the money! Great look inside out. Smooth, I mean Smooooooooth engine and transmission. You can hardly hear engine running. More than adequate power for 4cyl. I liked my Passat, but I LOVE my Accord.

I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!! - 2001 Honda Accord
By rlak1013 - December 20 - 2:00 amI love this car! I wanted a Honda Accord V6 all through college and when I graduated I decided I was going to treat myself to this car. It was very expensive and I probably bit off more than I could chew, but I will never trade this car in. Its perfect in every way.

Our return to Honda - 2005 Honda Accord
By David T - December 19 - 7:03 amPurchased this car for my Wife and 16 year old daughter to share. The quality is as excellent as expected and the performance is just right for its intended use. We almost purchased the new VW Jetta, then came to our senses and walked next door then drove home with the new Accord Coupe. Whew! that was a close call. There is no comparison. We are very pleased with our purchase and just really like this car.

An affordable Accord - Value Package - 2007 Honda Accord
By Ted Detjen - December 19 - 4:30 amWe began looking at the Honda Civic but discovered that for a few hundred dollars more we could purchase an Accord. The Value Package includes front and side airbags, cruise control, anti-lock brakes, power windows, remote entry and locking, air conditioning with filtration, and a CD/Radio combination. The four cylinder engine and five speed transmission is smooth and peppy.
