Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Excellent choice. Would consider only Infiniti G35 as an alternative.

  • The "Mayesmobile": A Well-Built Wagon - 1996 Honda Accord
    By -

A silver 1996 Honda Accord wagon has been in our family for so long, it has earned the loving nickname "The Mayesmobile". It has transported us through blizzards and hurricanes reliably and comfortably. For a decade, it has swallowed our hockey gear, musical instruments, friends and animals with ease. After all these years, it is still a peppy* drive, rattle-free over potholes, nimble in the corners and easy to parallel park. As the car has gotten older, we have had a few issues finding parts (struts at 90,000 miles) when weve needed them, but as of yet, no major repairs have been required outside of routine maintenance. It is easily the best car our family has ever owned.

  • Regret buying this car - 2009 Honda Accord

My husband talked me into buying this car. The car has great power for a 4 cyl, the interior is real nice. Love the wood trim inside; radio has great sound; the seats are very uncomfortable for leather seats. The passenger seat is not power, which I do not like. After driving Cadillacs for 20 years, my husband wanted something more economical on gas and low maintence. Recently we had spent a lot of money on the Cadillac sedan deville 2001, with only 68,400 miles on it. However I was the main driver of the car and loved it. It drove and rode like a dream. It looked new inside and out. It broke my heart trading it in. Honda accord exl 4 cyl is a great car if u like small cars.

  • My 2nd Honda - 2004 Honda Accord

I bought an 04 civic lx in January, then upgraded to my accord, for just a little more a month... I love the looks of my car inside and out. I have two problems though, my radio has a lot of static. My overhead compartment falls down constantly... I am taking it to the shop this week for these two problems.

Bought this car 2 weeks ago. Ride is smooth and on the highway I dont even realize am going 80 mph. Comfortable seats, plenty of leg room, especially with tilt and telescopic wheel. Fun to drive. Glad I bought a Honda.

  • My first Honda - 2005 Honda Accord

As a diehard GM customer my whole life, it took alot of convincing to purchase my first Honda. But the price and reputation could not be ignored. I regret waiting so long before I made this first purchase. This car is incredible. Its V6 acceleration is unbelieveable for a mid-size sedan. I love the handling and the support the seats give my back. Since its a Honda, I dont ever expect to be back to the dealer for warranty work. By this time, any new GM car I owned would have been back to the dealer at least two times. My next car/van will be a Honda.

  • My Review - 1995 Honda Accord

A well-built and long-lasting car. Rides well in all conditions, including snow. Good enough power for the size of the engine and had good pickup entering highways and passing other vehicles. Routine maintenance is the only true issues I had with it (water pump, timing chain, split CV boot, exhaust/muffler). For a 10+ year old car, still getting more than 20 miles to the gallon in average driving. Only negative about the body is some spotty rust, but in a car that old in the Northeast, that is expected.

This is my first Honda and so far I think its great!! It rides beautifully and has a great look and feel. I couldnt be more impressed. (Of course my previous cars were a Ford Escort and a Pontiac Sunfire.. so as you can see, it wouldnt be hard to impress me anyway.)
