Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Overall, great dependable car - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

The 2002 Accord EXL was my first new car purchase and I am very pleased. I knew that I needed a reliable car for at least the next five years and thats exactly what I got. Low maintainence, great fuel economy all in a package that is fairly classy. My only complaint is the pick-up -- I dont know if its just the reality of my car getting older, but my cars acceleration has decresed appreciably.

  • Buyers Remorse... Retracted - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

When I bought this car a year ago, I initially wrote a review stating I may have buyers remorse due to extremely uncomfortable drivers seat. I have now logged 51,000 miles and can give a very accurate review. Dealership replaced my drivers seat, made all the difference. Car averages 28 mpg overall, mostly highway. I have gotten as high as 31 on long trips, no air, driving 79 mph. Besides oil changes and tires, no unexpected problems. Cracked grille was replaced by dealer at no charge. Factory fog lights cracked, were replaced at cost. This car is very reliable, and driving it in Michigans "blustery" winters has been nothing but sheer confidence. Overall driving experience A+.

  • dont hesitate - 1994 Honda Accord

190k and still runs like a top. I would drive it across the country right now. Looking for another 50 gr out of it.

  • Nice Car - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

Nice car. Good body shape -- doesnt look trendy, even after five years. In fact, prefer body shape to current model. Good quality materials. Highly reliable. Comfortable seats. Good driver control positions. Good engine -- the power of a 6 cylinder with the economy of a 4 cylinder. In general, better quality vs. my Lumina it replaced.

  • Better than expected - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has been a real pleasure to drive. After owning pick-ups, Tahoes, and Suburbans for the past couple of decades, I felt that it was time to downsize with fuel being what it is now, and I rarely ever hauled anything. Luckily, I bought this vehicle on a whim and it gets better every day. It fits right(I am 60"), is fun to drive, great stereo, fuel economy, performance.

  • Another Excellent Ride - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Well I just purchased a new Accord 07 LX V6 Sedan and so far I am very pleased with it. I upgraded from an Accord 04 LX 2.4L Coupe. So much leg room, the sunroof, power seat... 6 cd changer (in dash).

When deciding what car to buy, there are lots factors to consider. Consider this: Spacious interior, sexy exterior, solid build quality, great performace, great gas mileage. Every which way you look, the Honda is a winner. This car is a pleasure to look at , and a thrill to drive. Boy racers and Sunday drivers alike will love this car, because this car performs when you want it to!

  • One thing missing - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

Car is excellent in nearly all respects, but the gear box should be illuminated for easier, safer use. The gear youre driving in should be clear when you move the shift lever. You shouldnt have to consult the dashboard to see if youre in drive or reverse, especially at night.

  • Buy the 4 cylinder / Manual!!!!! - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased this car in 01 (its now 06) and I am very happy with the value. I have experienced no powertrain issues, as are common with automatic transmission models. I average 32 MPG on highway. 4-cylinder has plenty of spunk. The ride leaves a bit to be desired. Engine noise noticeable - air noise noticeable - not as smooth as my 16 YEAR OLD Lexus LS 400. Very easy for my local $40/hr mechanic to work on - or if Im feeling brave I have tackled a few issues. Plenty of room in engine compartment to manuver. BUY THE 4 CYL!!!
