Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The 6-Speed is awesome plus there hardly any on the road that are like this. Gives people a shock when they find out its a 6-Speed.

recently underwent a financial reckoning and got rid of payments and paid $1500 for this little honda with 176k mi. didnt expect much, but it has been unbelievable in the 6 months i owned it. doesnt burn a drop of oil (even though seller told me he thought it may burn some - but this guy just fixed something on the engine and resold it to me), and has been much more dependable than my wifes 01 jetta. gas mileage is still 30 mpg+ and almost everything works (except for cig. lighter and windshield washer fluid). even though i saved up, i cant justify spending $15k on newer car. i keep thinking - for that money I can buy me 10 of these that do the same thing perfectly fine! KICK 4SS HONDA!!!

  • Great Car with a few flaws - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned my 2017 Accord Sport Special Edition for about a month now. I upgraded to this car from a 2006 Honda Accord. Keeping my cars for several years, I require my vehicles to be dependable. Thats why I stuck with Honda. My 2006 Accord was a great car that gave me zero problems for ten years. It only had 115k miles on it but I wanted something new. Needless to say, upgrading to a 2017 model, was a no-brainer. With that being said, even though I enjoy my new Accord, its not perfect. Im not achieving the advertised mpg of 26 city. Im averaging closer to 21/22 in town. I use the Econ feature and keep it in "D" not "S" mode, so Im not sure why my mpg is slow low. Could using the heater lower the mpg that much? Hmm... Perhaps I still need to break it in. However, city driving is a joy. Not only is the car comfortable, easy and fun to drive, Im noticing other drivers breaking their necks to check it out. Its a nice feeling to see others taking notice of this attractive car. For a practical midsize sedan, I think it looks great! The interior screams luxury with the red stitched black leather interior and cool dash. The speedometer features a color ring that changes from white to green when you reach efficient driving. I mean, whaaat?!? I dont have the dual-screen infotainment, but Im glad about that. It just seems too much. I dont think Id use it that much anyway. The audio speakers are average at best. Youd think Honda would install better than average speakers but again, nothings perfect. The car drives a little different at higher speeds. It seems I have to "control" the car more than my old 2006 model. It kinda wants to veer a bit on the highway, making for a little less comfortable ride. Are the 19" wheels the culprit? You tell me. Overall, Im very happy with my 2017 Honda Accord Sport Special Edition. Its a beautiful, fun and quality made car which I look forward to driving over the next ten years.

  • The Ever Dependable Accord - 1995 Honda Accord

I have used this car for 3 Years now. It has never left me stranded (Touch Wood). I have driven this Car for 200,000 mile car for 2500 miles from Louisiana to California. Its true Hero and a extremely reliable. I reached safe and in one peice, the car never stopped. Today it still goes on, gives me excellent milleage for 22-25 mpg in city and atleast 29 on the highways. Its a tribute to Japanese workmanship, because this car is "Made in Japan" imported by Sea, (J Series VIN). The choice of parts and their visualization and planning way back in 1990s for this 1995 is truly amazing. All parts still work. Kudos HONDA.

  • A terriffic value - 2001 Honda Accord

EXTREMELY RELIABLE with low Maintenance. Overall a great value with a total cost of only $2400 annually [averaging 20,000 miles] for first 5 yrs.. Original total cost $18,300 incl all taxes etc..- current value $7400. Only repairs in 5yrs/92,000 miles are front brakes/rotors and clock light bulb.

  • Will never leave you stranded. - 1992 Honda Accord

If you are looking for one car that will definitely get you where you need to go it is a 4th generation Accord. I bought the car with 230K miles and now have over 285K on the car! I refer to it as Old Faithful if that gives you any idea of its reliability. Has never left me stranded. I have only put money into it (other than usual wear items) was to replace a main fuel relay (one of the very few common problems these cars had) and replaced a valve cover gasket. Other than that it has been more than amazing. bought it for $1000 and could sell it tomorrow for the same, which Im certainly not planning on doing. Get the 5 speed, it is more reliable (slightly) and better performance.

  • Honda Listened to its Customers - 2013 Honda Accord

Im very pleased with my new metallic beige EX-L. I had bought a 2009 Civic because I didnt like the 8th generation Accords at all, but when I saw what Honda did with the 9th generation Accord, I had to have one. For me, coming from a noisy, teeth-jarringly bumpy Civic, my new Accord feels like pure luxury.

  • My first Honda - 2007 Honda Accord

Ive driven a Camry before, but I liked the body style of the Accord better this time around, so I researched and realized that theyre pretty similar under the hood. Ive had this car for almost a year and have not had any type of mechanical problem with it. Its pretty quick and fun to drive and the sound system is really good. The only issue Ive had is with the passenger side window. When Im on the highway, the wind noise is a little louder in this window than any other. I took it to the dealer to get checked out, and they said they replaced the seal. But I can still hear the noise sometimes.
