Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Maybe Im picky - 2013 Honda Accord
By phetzer - July 6 - 2:23 pmThe car seems to have a stiffer ride than I would expect. Seems about right for the Sports edition but not a four door. Within two hundred miles the transmission had to be replaced. I am trying to work something out with American Honda for compensation for having a brand new car with a factory remanufacture transmission. I asked for a different car but they will not go for that.

Improved appeal - 2013 Honda Accord
By oldkid - July 5 - 1:26 pmI just purchased on the 4th, car has 85 miles. Initial impressions- fit/finish/materials quality are among the best if the best combination in class. Ride, while not a quiet as some perhaps, is still plenty quiet and smooth enough without sacrificing handling. However comparing to my last car, a c5 corvette, just about anything would seem smooth to me :). -MSRP $30,070 -paid $28.500 However Im sure many in the mainland do $1-2k better than us here in Hawaii. -Hondacare 7yr./80,000 w/$100 Deductable- $895 So, FYI- shop the Hondacare Warranty price options online before you buy as you can save a lot in the Finance office. I am going to stop mine before it is submitted and get better.

1000 Miles - 2013 Honda Accord
By lowin - July 4 - 9:47 pmWe bought this car as a safe, reliable and long lasting vehicle for my wife. The crash test ratings are beyond approach and Honda reliability and long lasting cars are as well known as the brand we left - Subaru. Given we have driven nothing but Subarus for years, I cant be picky about the ride, noise or anything. To us, this car is smooth, quiet and far more confortable than any car we have had for a long time. The CVT is fine for us too (and drove better than others we tested). Yes it hiccups now and again, but so what? The electronics are a little funky, but lets face it. Nobody is getting this right and most do a poor job, even many luxury brands.

Cost Reduction Design - 2008 Honda Accord
By fosterphx1 - June 29 - 6:14 pmPurchased new, now have 85k miles. Experienced all the problems reported (brakes, road noise, cheap interior, rattles, and easily scratched paint). The Navigation system was delivered with very out of date maps, voice recognition is poor (buy a Garmin for $200), and the suspension feels very heavy and loose over rough pavement. Rebuilt the front end at 80k, lost two batteries due to a failing AC pressure relief valve, and the auto AC is not designed for Phoenix weather. (fan never comes on high speed even if cabin >100 degrees). Trunk volume diminished by hinges. Should be designed for struts. Should have dumped this car earlier before the resale value declined.

First Impressions -60 miles in - 2013 Honda Accord
By buyer157 - June 28 - 9:37 pmIll update this review in 1000 miles or so, but for now, Ive just brought home my new Honda Accord Sport and commuted once to work. Absolutely no buyers remorse. Having read in a couple of places about transmission jerkiness at low speeds or road noise, Im thrilled to report Ive noticed NO such problems. Car has a fantastic exhaust note, and is whisper quiet. Acceleration is smooth and the vehicle is extremely responsive. The Sport quickly found its way to 80 mph with little prodding and felt as if it was standing still. Seating is incredibly comfortable, and the interior calming and spacious.

What a GREAT car! - 2013 Honda Accord
By themanindbox - June 26 - 5:47 pmI dont know where to begin At 6ft+ I needed something bigger to drive, getting in and out of small cars sucks when you are tall. I also wanted decent MPG and good build quality. I have been shocked by both aspects in the new accord. The seats are comfortable, the MPG is awesome, 35MPG average today, and I have yet to break it in. The clutch is smooth, and the shifter is one of the best I have driven. The ride is quiet and refined and the fit and finish feel and look 40K dollar car like on a sub 20k dollar budget.

Unsurpassed value for the money - 2013 Honda Accord
By bklynborn - June 25 - 8:45 amI purchased my V6 Accord on 6/1/13 and feel it is remarkable. This car should cost $15M-$20M more. Extremely roomy, real large trunk, terrific build quality and steering feel is perfect. I am still on my first tank of gas and averaging 29.7 MPG (according to the trip computer) in mixed driving with the econ mode. What more can you ask of a powerful V6? The navigation system/infotainment system takes some time to learn but most younger people should have no problem. My only complaints: 1).The stereo system is inferior to the 2012 Accord. Has very little base which is just the opposite of the 2012 EXL. 2). The carpeting is really cheap. Has no pile and looks like mouse fur. Shame on Honda!

Final Honda Car Purchase - 2012 Honda Accord
By devilsdefence4 - June 24 - 10:05 pmAfter owning two previous Accords I can say this will be my last. Having been very satisfied with a 98 sedan 5 speed and an 05 coupe 6-speed I can honestly say Im very disappointed with this 12 6-speed. My expectations of a 6 cyl. 6 speed "sports" car are not even close to aligning with this vehicle, the only performance upgrade is the motor and gearing, which result in a 6 mpg loss with comparable driving. If youre not quite as concerned in performance and decent gas mileage this car is comfortable for long road trips and has a fairly large backseat for a coupe. Also an excellent looking car in my opinion if Honda had oriented it more towards its Prelude roots I would be very pleased.
