Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Awesome Car! - 2003 Honda Accord

When I was car shopping, I test drove every vehicle in the same class. This car had everything that I wanted for a lot less money then its competitors. Now that I have owned the car for over a year and a half, it gets better with every drive! Highly Recommended!

  • This Accord is beyond what I expected - 2008 Honda Accord

Theres nothing bad I can say about this car. I ponder if I should of gotten the navigation but I have everything else besides that and blue tooth, so no complaints. I bought the car and immediately took it on a road trip right after I pulled off the lot. I drove 900 miles and filled up twice and I have a lil less then an 1/8 of fuel left so on the freeway at speeds of 70-80 and times I had to drive 25-45 the V-6 gave me about 24-25 miles per gallon which is extraordinary! I love the car outright. Like I said, nothing bad too say about it at all

  • Solid car would buy it again - 1997 Honda Accord

Bought this car, then put 1,000 miles on it in the first week. Extremely frugal on gas averaged 300 miles on a tank of gas in city driving 400 miles on highway. A/C quit at 150,000 miles repaired by dealer. Replaced brakes and thermostat a few tires, but no major work. Im a Honda driver for life.

  • Accord EX 2DR V6 - 2002 Honda Accord

I bought this car new, only problem I have had is that the drrivers seat leather has split on 1 of the seams 3 times. Honda replaced 2 times without any problem. The V6 is nice at first it lacked a bit of responsiveness but a K & N air filter seemed to take car of it and may have helped the fuel economy a tiny bit, kind of hard to tell when you have a lead foot. This car is approaching 4 years old and 60k miles and still turns heads. I think the rear spoiler really sets off the looks. Mechanically everything has been smooth and that is great, especially since I dont baby this car and never have. But I do keep up the regular maintance which Im sure will get this car 200K miles or more

  • GRRRRRREAT BUY - 2005 Honda Accord

I purchased this vehicle new and have had absolutely no regrets, even after putting some +25,000 miles on it the first year. I havent had to put the car in the shop for anything and the performance hasnt diminished at all. The one possible downside of the V6 6speed is the gas mileage.

  • Reliable and good looking - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has been garaged entire time. Used for general around town and freeway driving--one long distance trip. All scheduled oil changes. one new battery. Scooter lift (automatic) installed in the trunk. No accidents. Ming finish. Looks (and acts like) new. "Loaded" with luxury extras. Moon roof. Cream color leather interior. One owner. Good gas mileage. "Squeaky" clean.

  • almost 16 years - 1990 Honda Accord
    By -

In a previous post, I noted early problems with this car, purchased new in 1990. Since 1999, I have put a total of $1900 into it, including new $400 Michelin tires, $700 motor mounts, $95 for an an ignition problem, $150 for a transmission issue, and a couple hundred for brakes. That leaves around $350 for routine maintenance. Motor mounts were not necessary and could have chosen cheaper tires, but both make it run almost like new, and I intend to keep it around. Dealer did install all new hoses and a radiator for $125 - long story, good customer service. Test drove new Acuras, Hondas, got back in this and wondered why I was shopping. Fun on mountain roads.

  • New Transmission at 8K - 2002 Honda Accord
    By -

I always thought the Honda Accord was a reliable vehicle until I purchased my Accord with a V-6. Transmission started clunking at around 4K and the dealership told me this was normal. At 8K the transmission failed and Honda replaced it. Now after 1K with the new transmission it is making a clunking sound again every time I back up! The dealership is telling me this is normal again! I am going to unload this lemon before I need another new transmission. Will never buy a Honda again!

  • Everything should be this solid - 1990 Honda Accord
    By -

Purchased 5 yrs ago with 134k miles, now at 200k. No major problems at all. My car has led a very demanding life, and granted I maintain it well, but its still amazes me how well it holds up! A true testament to Honda using quality materials. The A/C has needed recharged, brakes needed some maintanence, exhaust, and suspension bushings replaced, but these are all very normal things for almost any car over 10 yrs old. Everything that has needed attention has been a Do-it- yourself saturday job, if you enjoy doing your own work. Ive never had to take it to a shop. Nearly every accessory still operates perfectly. Has NEVER failed to start, even in the dead of Ohio winter. Thanks Honda!
