Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Better deal than TL - 2004 Honda Accord

I bought my Accord in Jan. and have 1000 miles on it with zero defects. I wanted an Acura TL with navi and they were going for MSRP with limited availability. The Accord is nearly as good - just lacking prestige. Once you get in the car and operate it, you feel like you are driving perfection. You forget you are in a Honda "family" car. This is the fastest and smoothest car I driven. Its a vast improvement over the 89 Acura Legend it replaced (except in styling). I added a rear deck lid spoiler, splash guards and chrome exhaust tips to improve on the plane-jane looks. Its good to go.

  • Honda Uses Name to Sell Cars - 2003 Honda Accord

20 year Honda fan here. Own an 85 Accord with 370,000 miles on original engine and transmission. 2003 Accord had transmission failure at 1,500 miles (1 month old and before the first payment was made!!!). American Honda refused to do anything more than the warranty work which was a REMANUFACTURED transmission. No other compensation given.

  • the best car! - 2012 Honda Accord

the honda accord is one of the best cars I have ever owned. I have the 2012 EX-L V6 with NAVI. the V6 is a very snappy engine! I definitely recommend this engine!!!!!!! it gets you on the highway fast!. I know people make you think the seats are absolutely horrible, but they arent. I could drive 12 hours without any problems. this car is awesome and so reliable!!!!!!! you definitely get what you pay for!!!!!!! We havent had any problems with it besides a check engine light and faulty sensor. (only a 100 dollar fix) the handleing is awesome! it is so responsive, it practically drives itself! a very sporty car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hope you find this helpful!

  • DONT BUY THIS CAR - 2014 Honda Accord
    By -

This car rides like an old army jeep. If you are in the passenger seat, you will lose your false teeth if you hit a small bump. It seems they took a standard Accord and just cranked down the suspension as far as it would go thinking they would somehow make it perform like a BMW. Next, these crack engineers decided that anyone who purchased this car would not have the intelligence to make their own decisions, so they decide for you when they want to AUTOMATICALLY LOCK YOU OUT OF THE CAR. For example, if you come home from Costco with your car fully loaded and want to unload the trunk first, dont leave your keys in the car on the seat, because with the trunk open and while you are humping your groceries into the house, the car will decide to lock you out after 30 seconds. And, yes, I have contacted the dealer and read their 385 page manual written in 47 languages and there is no solution to this problem. And, lets say you are driving with your lights on during the day for extra protection against other drivers, who are sharing their attention with their smart phones, and you stop to let a passenger do some shopping while you wait for them with the engine off. You can do that, but keep a tow truck number close at hand, because the lights will not turn off and, of course, there is no warning since you did not open your door. This is a slam-bang, cheap imitation wannabe of a quality performance car, that will, unfortunately, last as long as any Honda and still hold its value. A nightmarish thought for sure.

  • Our First Honda - 2002 Honda Accord

And definately not our last! We have had absolutely no problems with our Honda Accord. I love it so much we just purchased a second Honda. After numerous visits to the mechanic with our 1995 Ford Escort and way too much money on break downs we traded it in for a 2000 Honda Civic Coupe EX for our kids. I feel much safer with my daughter driving this dependable car. I will be thinking about a new 2003 Honda Accord EX for our future. Great car!

  • Sports car in disguise. - 2005 Honda Accord

After months of wandering car lots, we finally got serious, drove cars, and talked prices. We liked the styling and performance of the Infiniti G35 Coupe, but the back seat was unbearable (crooked neck and head banging on the glass) and the price was intimidating. A test of the Acura TSX was quite pleasing, but it was a 4-door (less "sporty"), and was going to cost $2-3K more than the Accord Coupe. The 6-speed we loved in the TSX also comes in the Accord V6 Coupe, which offered more power and performance for less money. There is slightly less rear-seat headroom, but enough for us (511"). Cars we didnt drive: A4 V6, BMW 325 - too costly; RX8, Maxima, Subaru - styling; Camry - handling.

  • EXTREMELY RELIABLE!!! BEST CAR IVE EVER OWNED! - 2006 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car used after totalling my 2002 toyota camry. Being a toyota guy most of my life I wanted to get a toyota again but i knew hondas are also comprable. I bought it in 2009 with 43k. Now, 8 years later at 219k I have only changed the battery and the starter. The rest has been regular maintenance (brakes, rotors, etc). Motor still runs very strong as well as the transmission. If you didnt look at the odometer you would think this car had 100k on it. If you can find a used one that was well taken care of, buy it, it doesnt have many fancy features but it wont let you down.

  • Great Car - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

The 4 cyl is powerful for city but lacks just a little on the highway. I would still get the 4 over the 6. I get about 30mpg combined on the recommended 87 octane. The leather seats are very comfortable and supportive. I wouldnt buy one without the Nav and voice activation. It makes the car and changes the whole look of the dash.

  • First midsized car - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

Leased this car last week and am very happy with my selection. Previous car was a 03 Corolla CE 5-speed manual. Outstanding quality of materials and construct/assembly. Great compromise of ride & handling. Very quiet at all speeds. Good fuel economy for a midsized... average 30mpg in 70/30 hwy/city respecitvely. Great stereo, no need to consider an upgrade. Love the styling. Engine/tranny are top notch. Limited headroom.
