Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Careful: These annoyances add up! - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

My 2013 Accord EX-L V6 w/navigation 2/13 purchase started off going the wrong way leaving my dealers lot: 1. the car simply pulls to the left only at highway speeds. Two dealer visits within that week were a waste of time. They wont/cant figure out why this is so (any Im not only driving on crowned roads). Had I noted this during my two test drives prior to purchase, I would have passed on this car. Annoying! Youve been warned. 2. The audio system certainly is sexy and inviting, but when little things dont work like the subwoofer to the email/text message reading feature (using an iPhone 5)...or the lack of any Gracenote update installed in the car (until July 2013): grrrrrr

  • Extremely impressed - 2017 Honda Accord
    By -

I had this car for about a month now... My previous car was a hand-me-down 2004 Acura TL and, while I absolutely loved the car (and the 270 hp), the Accord blew it out of the water. I have not driven anything crazy like an M4, so my standards as far as the sound of the engine arent too high yet. But I personally love the sound of the Accords engine. Right amount of bass for my ears, and because its only 189hp, I can floor it without risking a speeding ticket. The exclusive Obsidian Blue you can get on the Sport SE is absolutely stunning. The only other dark blue thats comparable is on a Tesla I saw the other day. The 19" wheels you get on the Sport SE are very similar to something you might find on a Mercedes. Using paddle shifters on a CVT is a little weird (and it has 7 gear settings, so you do have to click a lot), but it emulates the jerky feeling you get from an automatic. The interior is VERY upscale for a car of this level. The leather-wrapped steering wheel feels too much like my moms BMW 335i M Sport steering wheel (and it feels amazing). The carbon fiber trim and piano black panels are really nice to look at, and theres padded, stitched leather everywhere. I swapped out the original halogen headlights for some really bright LEDs since thats the only thing that really holds this car back in terms of appearance. You should not be allowed to get a car with this much value at this price point. The only complaint I have is that if you drive around 12-2PM and the sun is directly above you, the instrument panel and the entertainment display get a bad glare because the sun reflects off the bottom panel and goes on the clear window, making it hard to see the speedometer and stuff. If they changed the angle of the clear window covering all the instrumentation, it might have worked better, but its a minor complaint.

  • Get your transmissions checked!!!! - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

We bought this 2000 EX used with 93,000 miles on it, relying on Hondas rep that it will last a long time. We thought the tranny (automatic) was a little Jerky, so we brought it in, and it needs a new one, Honda is paying for it, but we nearly got scr*wed because it has 98,700 miles, and Honda only guarantees up to 100,000. Bring yours in and get it checked, they are not mailing out recalls!

  • great accelaration and 20+mpg WOW - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has decent accelaration for a family sedan. If you turn off the traction control system it will burn rubber. I had an Audi A4 with a V6 and this car blows it away and has a larger back seat. Plus I am averaging 22 mpg and I drive fast. Brakes are a little touchy. The headliner and carpet are a little on the cheap side but the seats are very bolstered with nice leather AND heated. XM radio rules! Very happy with this car and the resale value on Honda Accords makes me even more confident that I bought the right car.

  • Another winner - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my 9th Honda and they just keep getting them faster, more comfortable, thriftier and overall nicer! What more can you ask for from a car or its manufacturer?

  • So far so Good - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive always owned Hondas from the days of the hatch back civic to now this 08 accord.I am pleased with everything so far. My car is taffeta white and i wish there was another interior color option other than ivory! other than that the accord looks good drives good and has met and exceeded my expectations so far!

  • I love my Honda - 1999 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my Honda used with 65000 miles on it and it is now up to 103000 but it just keeps going! This car still feels like it is brand new. I havent had any problems with my car and with gas prices the way they are I am nothing but totally convinced that this is the right car for me. I used to be embarassed that it was such a generic car and everybody has one, but the maintenance has been very easy and the parts Ive had to install have been nothing but easy to do!

  • Some Problems with Honda Accord 2004 - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought this car (2004 Accord EX with manual transmission) because of its outstanding safety features. But it has been unreliable. It had two electrical failures under 1000 miles and had to be towed twice. But this problem was finally corrected by the service dept. What is much more troubling is that both the front and back bumper covers were damaged by regular winter conditions. Ive been driving in, over, and through snow/ice for 30 years in Toyota cars, and never had any front or rear end damage. The bill for the repair is over $1300. Even though I enjoy driving the car, Ill probably trade it in as soon as I can afford to.
