Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Creme de la creme - 2001 Honda Accord
By magpub - May 14 - 2:00 amThis Honda was the best car for the money when I bought it and it still the best car 2 years, 30k miles later. Anyone complaining about a Honda lemon must be sniffing something or abuses their car. Ive owned another Accord, a Jeep Wrangler, a Pontiac Crapfest, a Camry and a couple of Nissans -- none compare to the quality of this car.

Saves Gas - 2005 Honda Accord
By Ted B. - May 11 - 11:10 pmHonda has truly outdone themselves with this car. 255 total hp (240 V6 and 16 electric) provide a quiet yet substantial driving experience. This car has tremendous acceleration through the mid range to top end. From 50mph to 75mph with gas/electric combination in 4 seconds is impressive. Max fuel efficiency for me seems to be in the 62-64 mph range. At this speed on I-95 I can get just shy of 40mpg. Around town the mpg is just above 28.

I couldnt ask for a better first car!!! - 1992 Honda Accord
By Krys Wilson - May 11 - 8:41 amWhen I was told that my first car was going to be a 92 Honda Accord, I wasnt thrilled at all. I didnt really know much about Hondas. Now, I wouldnt trade my Honda for the world especially with the price of gas, my Honda is very fuel efficient, its not too big or too small. I have only had one major problem, I needed a transmission. I wasnt able to get one right away but my Honda still drove like a dream, just had to shift the gears myself. I have had sooo many offers to sell my Honda but I would never even if I buy a newer car. To say my Honda is 14 years old, I have less problems than any of my friends that have newer cars. Bottom line Honda has a customer for life. Honda Forever!

All hail the might Honda Accord! - 1995 Honda Accord
By JSM - May 9 - 9:30 pmI bought this car with 90k miles. To make a long story short this car NEVER let me down! I drove this car everywhere and it does not flinch. I got a little enthusiastic on an onramp curve, and the car recovered easily. Much more comfortable ride than a Civic in the same era. I now have 180K miles on it and I hear no knocking, rattling, nor do I smell any gas or oil burning [knocks on wood]. Safe to say that I will keep this car till it stops running. That will be quite a long wait.

So far, so good! - 2003 Honda Accord
By bellasmomma - May 9 - 10:00 amWe just bought a used 2003 with 9500 miles and couldnt be more pleased. This car is fun to drive, has lots of options, is beautiful, esp. on the inside (we have the black leather interior, so classy!) and if this car acts like a Honda, well be driving it for years to come.

Reliable, basic transport - 1997 Honda Accord
By Hondaowner - May 9 - 10:00 amOur Accord has had very minor repairs done other than regular maintenance. We are very happy with that. You can always be sure that when you turn the key, the engine will start and the car will move. AT 75K miles it shows no signs of trouble. The engine, however, is too weak for a car this size. If you have the AC on, forget about any acceleration even with a manual tranny. Performance and cornering are total afterthoughts.

Love the car! HATE the paint! - 2004 Honda Accord
By Amanda - May 6 - 2:13 pmI bought a black Honda Accord. Loved the look, Black on Black. I didnt have the car 6 mos & began to have paint troubles. The paint all over was chipping down to bare metal. Especially on the hood. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was an isolated incident. Yeah right! My car looks terrible.

Sadly Disappointed - 2013 Honda Accord
By cappy4103 - May 4 - 4:34 amThis is my 6th Accord & 8th Honda. I want to like this car but I do not. I love the look of the car, inside and out but thats where the love ends! I find the ride to be terrible. I dont know if its due to the redesign or a shorter wheel base, but the ride seems choppy to me and the suspension is so stiff that every bump seems amplified right into the passenger compartment. The stiff suspension may seem sporty at first but after 8K miles, youll be tired of it. Another cause might be from the leather seats. The leather is too stiff and there isnt enough padding on the bottom which could contribute to the the fillings in my teeth being jarred lose! Also having radio issues.
