Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Need To Sweat More Of The Details - 2003 Honda Accord
    By -

Having previously owned a 1985 Prelude and putting more than 250K miles of faithful miles on it, I looked at nothing other than another Honda/Acura, with the exception of the Toyota Camry. I excluded the Camry because it was overpriced and I didnt like the ride characteristics, too soft and didnt compare to the Accords wishbone suspension. I was leery of it being made in the US rather than Japan were my Prelude was built, and put my faith in Japanese leadership. I had to order mine, didnt care for the "baby **it" interior color of most on the lot. I had wanted a maroon exterior w/ black interior, but it only came with that crappy color. Wish for 4cyl/6

  • Best Car Ive ever driven - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

By far Honda Accord is the best car out there! Reliability, durability and comfort all come into one with this extrordinary car! An excellent choice to purchase when shopping for a new vehicle. Beware of the dealerships that dont want to come down in price on them. For my particular 04 Accord EX w/ leather and Navigation, the dealer recieves a $1000 rebate to them. Make sure and get that money applied to YOUR purchase!

  • My first car - 2004 Honda Accord
    By -

I chose the Honda Accord as my first car after having the experience of many other makes and model cars. It gives the feeling of a luxury car without the luxury price. And I got a great deal on the leather interior and moon roof features. The ride is smooth and the controls are at your finger tip. There is room enough fro our infant son plus a couple of friends. With an infant it was also important that we got a car with a great safety rating. All in all we got a great bang for our buck.

  • Superb Car! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Im not sure why there are a lot of complaints about this car. Mine has been an extremely pleasureful car to drive. For a great price, you get a car with the superior Honda quality and technology, great acceleration (had it up to 130 with power to spare), comfortable and in a very attractive package. I looked at BMW, Mercedes and Lexus. This Accord was whole lot less money and gave all the features yet again, with the Honda reliability and quality. I love the car and Im very happy with the purchase.

  • Outstanding car - 1993 Honda Accord

I have had this for the past 13 years, and it had been the most reliable piece of equipment I ever owned. For a 4-cyl, it provides unbelievable acceleration and all the power options have been working well to date.

  • Best Car to buy! - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

Ive owned many cars over the years. I am talking about Nissan, Toyota, Mercedes, Infinity, and of course Honda. I have a Honda Accord and even though the other cars that Ive owned have served me well- my honda is MY favorite. In 60, 000 miles I have only changed the rotors and brakes, and the oil. Not that I am negligent- just that the car asks for little attention- it does it all and well! I am hating the fact that later on in life I will have to change cars and not be able to buy a new 2000 Honda Accord- I wouldve loved to buy two- keep one in the garage until I need it. The new models look great but the one I have is the best car to buy.

  • Disappointed - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I was very disappointed when I purchased the new 2008 Accord after owning a 97 Honda Accord LX for 10 years (purchased new) with very few problems. I currently have about 3700 miles on my new car and have had numerous problems with it. The transmission whines in low gears, the headlights flicker while driving, the visor lights do not work, and gas mileage is on average about 25 (all my driving is on the highway). I cannot describe how disappointed I am with this new car. When taken to the dealer for service, they tell me most of the problems are normal. Normal? What happened to Honda quality? I should have purchased the Toyota Camry SE.

  • Going Greener Update - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Updating previous review (see Greener with Style 4/05): City/Suburban driving 24.5 to 27.5 mpg and highway driving (55 to 65 mph in hilly Oregon) 33 to 34 mpg. Realistically we could have saved a lot more by buying a strong 4 cylinder Accord, but our reasons for buying the car were not driven by only the dollars spent. The car is a joy to drive. Again I would emphasize you need to test drive it fully warmed up in a variety of conditions. Some people may actually be annoyed by the engine shutdown on stops and cylinder shutdown/restart. Electronic steering feels like it hangs sometimes. My wife drives a Civic Hybrid with about 44 mpg but lacks the comfort and power of the Accord (lucky me).

  • Nice car, but could be better. - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

This car has excellent power, especially by comparison to other cars in its class. The leather seats are nice, but not quite adjustable enough for a driver my height (63"). The same goes for the steering wheel which is way too close to the top of my knees even after raising all the way up, forcing my legs into a somewhat awkward position and not being able to extend the steering wheel stinks. These last two problems may have been fixed on the newest model (2005). The sound system isnt the best either as the sound still sounds a bit muted at all volumes. All in all its a pretty good car for the price I paid.

  • Not to shabby - 2000 Honda Accord
    By -

This is my first Honda and so far Im happy with it. I always heard about Hondas reliability which is what I was looking for in a car. Road noise is more than I expected and Ive recently heard about transmission problems with this type but I havent had any problems and Im at 20K miles. A little disappointed with the paint chipping on the hood due to rocks.
