This Year's Model Updates:

Following a complete redesign last year, the 2009 Honda Accord carries over unchanged, though the V6's official engine output is up a smidge after further testing revealed slightly more power than previously measured.

Pros:
  • Ample passenger space, high-quality interior, above-average steering feel, high resale value, available coupe body style.
Cons:
  • Intrusive road noise, button-heavy center stack, some find seats uncomfortable.

  • Peppy 4-cyl, like the design - 2009 Honda Accord

Ive owned a few Accords, and this one is the most fun to drive. The 4-cyl engine has plenty of power for everyday driving, with surprising acceleration off the line. Honda is not typically known for its attractive designs -- usually you had to go to Acura for that -- but the coupe is pretty sharp looking. So far the car has been everything I expected and more. The coupe has some compromises in back seat room, and its unfortunate that Honda doesnt offer a fully adjustable drivers seat unless you get the leather package. Road noise is always an issue with Hondas, and this ones no exception even though it has the noise canceling feature (great idea, cant hear much effect).

  • Uncomfortable Seats, Road noise - 2009 Honda Accord

Just bought the car. Owned a lot of cars and I must say this is the most uncomfortable seats in any car I have owned. It hurts the lower part of your back after a half hour. Its like a hard lumbar that doesnt go away. Called Honda America, and they said that they will document it. If you own one and experience this problem call them. More complaints the better hopefully! Road noise is pretty loud.

  • Overall Satisfied - 2009 Honda Accord

I previously owned a jaguar which I loved very much, but I also hated. The car drove me nuts being in & out of the shop. I went to Honda because my husband owns a Honda Si which he loves. I did not want a Honda, I was hesitant about going, but then again I needed something reliable. I test drove a few cars but was looking for something with speed. They gave me the V6 Accord to test drive. I liked it, it was nice, & had the speed I was looking for. I was hesitant about getting it but I needed a car that I could depend on. So I bought it & the more I drove it I loved it even more!

  • Might as well buy a Fusion or Malibu - 2009 Honda Accord

Well, I have had this car about a week. The paint job is low quality and chips easily. The seats are uncomfortable. The transmission and suspension are sloppy and transmit vibrations throughout the car. And I am already scheduled for repairs. So much for the vaunted Honda reliability.

  • What a great surprise. - 2009 Honda Accord

Im a very satisfied customer. I had driven several other competitors and hands down, Honda Accord won out. I love the overall performance and comfort. There is also a lot of leg room for both front and back passengers. Plenty of storage space in the trunk. The overall performance on the highway is super smooth and fast. Lots of fun to drive.

  • Brakes squeal - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

Nice car but the front RT brake started to squeal. Dealer reports no Honda fix to the issue yet. Still trying to get everything replaced until it is resolved. Also poor gas mileage, averaging 20 mpg in rural driving. Other than that it has been fun to drive so far. Do notice the VCM kicking in and out , could be smoother or perhaps a bypass to go into full time 4 or 6 cylinder mode.

  • What an awesome car! - 2009 Honda Accord

After buying my first new Honda (CRX in 89 which I loved), I couldnt wait to buy Honda again after owning several other brands. This car gets so many looks and compliments--its often mistaken for a BWW or Lexus! Im so glad I chose the V6 model-the power is incredible..also the silver door handles give it a nice quality touch. The temperature and audio controls can be somewhat complicated at first, but I am starting to get used to them. Everything is explained in the manuals, so read up! The heated seats are a nice welcoming feel on a cold winter day. Great job Honda! What an improvement over the previous body style (yawn).

  • Tried and true! - 2009 Honda Accord

I looked at the Hyundai, and Altima but I went for the better quality Honda. Every three years my lease is up and I try hard to stray away but fortunately every 3 years I make the right choice. This Honda is bigger than the Altima, Camry, Hyundai and just about as big as the BMW 5 series sedan. There is just enough of what you need here, and still remains very competitive in price and quality. I am happy with the interior quality, I am happy with the drive, and this is overall a very classy reliable car so far!

I picked up my car Saturday. I love being in it and driving. Its a comfortable ride, and looks great. I would definitely recommend this car for the money. I purchased the taffeta white with the tan interior, it looks so luxurious. I love it!

  • Love This Car - 2009 Honda Accord

This is my 5th Honda product and they keep getting better. I just traded an 06 Accord for this 09. It is much better - bigger, more horsepower, and quieter. Love this car and would buy another.
