Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

2008 EXL 4 cylinder Honda Accord - 2008 Honda Accord
By Handyman - July 27 - 2:16 amThis is my fifth Honda Accord and I have been impressed with the improvements made as we have come through the past 15 years. The 2008 body design is boring and outdated. Otherwise the gas mileage, service intervals, drive and dependability is still pristine. The added features with each new model have been exciting to use and the 2008 was no disappointment

Best Everyday Sedan Overall - 2008 Honda Accord
By Silver EX-L with Nav - July 24 - 12:30 pmThe 190 hp 4 cylinder is plenty strong enough for most driving conditions. In typical Honda fashion, it likes to rev and gets downright entertaining at 4000- 7100 redline. My last two cars were "fast" (WRX, TL) and I got this because my family got larger. On occasion, I do miss the power of the aforementioned vehicles, but the transmission is up to the task. I like the grade logic control and it seems like a very intuitive transmission (knows what I want to do). Overall, I am very satisfied on all fronts. I prefer the nav joystick over a touchscreen for cleanliness. Additionally, the set back nav screen is nice, and within a quick glance of my sightline.

Not as sturdy - 1995 Honda Accord
By nancyg - July 23 - 10:07 pmI had very high expectations of this car and, unfortunately, the car fell short. Although the car was in a garage during the winter, the body started to rust at both back fenders after about 5 years. This car also had more mechanical problems than I expected, especially given the low mileage. Among the most surprising problem was a total blow out of the radiator and cooling system. It seeemed that, once the car hit about 75,000 miles, everytime I would take it in for routine maintanence, it would need close to $1000 of work. Most people I know say they run their Hondas to about 250,000 miles and that is what I expected from this one. I am disappointed.

Excellent Choice - 2000 Honda Accord
By Nancy - July 23 - 7:41 pmI purchased this car new and now have about 140,000 miles on it. I plan to keep it until the wheels fall off, which may take quite a while. It still runs and looks great! This car has more room in the back seat than some full size cars. I get at least 27 mpg hwy, sometimes more. SRS light was on for about a year and then Honda recognized that this was a basic safety feature and offered a recall, full replacement of defective sensor. I often travel on my job and can always rely on my car to get me there without any problems.

Looks good AND... - 2009 Honda Accord
By KC - July 23 - 4:46 pmI drive it to work mostly, and it turns heads, being very exotic and unique without many Accord Coupes on the road. I dont mind the seats at all, as I dont plan on falling asleep in my car. Very roomy interior, the control is no comparison to my old vehicle. Only downside is the vehicle is quite heavy in bulk, and it does take some power to go up hills. But that has always been an issue with fuel economic cars. Power vs. fuel consumption. The car just looks really nice, and its drivable for someone young and car loving like me.

What a VALUE! - 2008 Honda Accord
By ChicagoCommuter - July 23 - 7:23 amSeriously, reading some of these petty reviews makes me realize that NO CAR would make these picky people happy. Heres a REAL REVIEW. This car is everything you would want in an everyday, modest car. The car is comfortable and QUIET. Even in Chicago, Pothole-laden roads..bumps are feather light and I could fall asleep driving. The Hands free is great. Had to buy a new phone since my old one wasnt compatible. No big deal The car is huge and very comfortable. My lower back was sore after a 5 hours drive to STL. Body wasnt used to seats like if you bought a new mattress. I get 27 mpg - 31mpg. Take the time to break the car in correctly. be gentle.

Accord Hybrid - 2005 Honda Accord
By Tammy - July 23 - 2:16 amGreat car with great gas mileage. Who would expect anything less from Honda. The only drawback is the lack of a real spare tire; however, there is room for one if desired. I had a moon roof added to mine because they dont include one as standard equipment - I was told its because of weight. I cant say that Ive noticed a mileage difference because of it.

Great car overall, but it has its quirks... - 2016 Honda Accord
By Tyler - July 22 - 8:05 pmThe car is comfortable, has excellent acceleration, but the part that I am not very fond of is how terrible the audio system sounds in the Touring trim. I just bought this new 2016 Honda Accord Touring V6 and immediately turn around and install new speakers and an amplifier. Other than that I dont really have any complaints about the car. :)

2017 Accord Lease - 2017 Honda Accord
By Mitchell - July 21 - 9:56 pmhad some issues with the dealer not being prepared for what I was looking for, however, the car pretty much sold itself. I was trying to decide between the Civic or Accord and went with the Accord because of how much more room in the cabin there was compared to the Civic. At 64" I fit well in the front seats of either model but would not do too well in the back of the Civic. I have no issue in the back of my Accord along with the rest of my family and friends that are all over 6 feet tall.
