Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Great car but noisy - 2005 Honda Accord

Had the car for five months now had no problems so far just an air bag recall... First day i drove it home, had to take the freeway i noticed door wind noise and the suspension a bit springy or tight...After five months still noisy and the suspension bouncy. Other than this car is great. Mileage is good looking at todays gas prices..... Great car just two important negative selling points for my next honda.

This is my third Accord and the third Accord I love. I gave up the last one with 194,000 miles and it now has over 250,000. After a brief stint with a 94 Acura, Im back with the Accord and its a wonderful car to drive. Its very comfortable and the heated seats are great this time of year. Driving up a mountain was easy the one time I did. The car has very good road manners and the steering is much better than I thought. The power is more than sufficient for everyday driving and if you dont watch yourself you can drift into speeds that get you the ticket I got 2 months ago.

  • Buyers Beware - 2014 Honda Accord

The battery AND the starter had to be replaced and the car only has 40,000 miles.....not under warranty because Hondas warranty expires 3 years or 36,000 miles. The starter was around $900 and it only has a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. So in within 2 months, Im out $1100 for repairs. Ive owned 5 Hondas and this has been the worse one. Ive read that a lot of people are having the same problems with Honda models years 2013-2015. I will be getting rid of this car before the starters warranty expires. Also, theres a lot of wind noise in this Honda when driving on the freeway. Has good gas mileage. I traded in a Kia Optima for this Honda and Im sorry to say this but I should have kept the Optima.

  • Impressive car - 2003 Honda Accord

This is a very solid, good driving car. I think the Accord is the best car in its class and better than some more expensive cars.

  • ENGINE PINGING IN 2ND GEAR - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Great car, lots of room, great pickup & gas mileage. we have discovered a metallic pinging noise in the engine as you accellerate through 2nd gear. We have tried different gas stations & octane levels. Engine continues to ping.

  • From BMW to Honda and HAPPY!!! - 2007 Honda Accord
    By -

After my wallet was being drained monthly to repair and maintain my aging BMW, I decided to go back to Honda. Ive only put 1500 miles on it so far, but this Accord is great! Solid build quality, V6 is getting 27 mpg with regular gas, plenty of room for the family, and excellent overall design. Expect to keep this 200K.

  • MOST RELIABLE - 1992 Honda Accord
    By -

This car is very reliable. I went from a newer car to the 1992 Honda Accord and it was a very smart choice. I drive a lot and this car takes a beating in the HOT Florida weather. After driving it all day this car feels same way, never sluggish and no rough idle, runs like a true champ.

  • 92 honda accord ex-r sedan - 1992 Honda Accord

this car rides exceptionally smooth on the freeway and streets. the steering is also pretty smooth. on the performance, this car could use a bit more power since it is a very heavy car. i suggest that this vehicle should of been built with the honda prelude vtec motor. my accord i have done some modifications in performance and its much better than stock. passing is way way easier especially because my car is auto. other than that the motor runs pretty quiet and outside noise isnt so bad.

  • my accord experience - 2005 Honda Accord

I bought an EX-V6 before this one and find the hybrid much better in quality. My EX-V6 squeaked and rattled loudly after 1K miles, well see how this one does (hybrid feels better put together). The ride feels much better and i like the electric steering. Gas mileage is *HIGHLY* variable -- 10 to 20 in rush hour traffic but 25-40 while moving around town. 35-45 mpg on highway where vcm really helps out. overall better acceleration than EX-V6, but accelerating keeps the car in V6 mode and thus you wont realize gas savings. Therefore, you can save on gas, but you have to work @ it -- dont be a lead foot and drive @ off peak hours. Other features it shares with EX-V6 work just as well.
