Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • 5 days...love it so far! - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Our 5th Honda (97 Civic EX, 04 Accord EX-L, 08 Odyssey EX-L, 11 CR-V EX-L Navi. Took it out today on first highway outing--about 120 miles round trip. Best Honda weve owned to date. Sufficient power, comfortable ride (though still stiff suspension, excellent handling, smooth CVT (vs. my somewhat choppy CR-V tranny), and quietest cabin of all the Hondas weve owned. Still on first tank of gas, but it appears that mpg will blow away all previous Hondas except our 97 Civic (w/far less comfort/power). Will update this review once weve put more miles on the car.

  • Windows and Sunroof malfunction - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I have never encountered this problem in any of the cars I owned. Last week we went back to our car, and found all four windows and the sunroof wide open.It was not pleasant as it was pouring with rain.We thought it was something we did. Yesterday same thing.Today, someone came up to us and asked us if we had that problem, which we confirmed. It seems his windows and sunroof have been doing this for the last month. Once, only Sunroof partway, another time the windows of only one side of the car.He went to his dealer, and they blew him off every time, telling him it is his doing.None of us were in our car when this happened. Has anyone experienced this. Our car is four months old, his 3.

  • IMA Battery - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

I purchased this vehicle used. It was a smooth driving and comfortable vehicle. Good gas mileage and then the IMA Hybrid battery goes out and thats when the problems began. I just want to inform the consumers of the cost the will be out of their pocket if by chance the electric battery goes out. You are looking at about 3500 to 4500 at a dealership to replace the battery. If you look online they are starting at 1600. Also just know these cars are designed to where you can only take it to the dealership to get any service done on them and even then a lot of the technician at the dealership dont even have the knowledge to diagnose or even work on these vehicles to fix the problems.

  • 181k Miles and Counting! - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

It is a great car! I need an upgrade since I Have 2 kids. I Have a coupe so it is inconvenient to get in and out of. But I love it! Fixing to sell it. I bought it in Dec 2000. No problems yet!

  • 160k and still going strong - 2001 Honda Accord
    By -

My first car that I have ever bought back in April of 2010 with 108,000 miles. Now in August of 2013, I have put 52 k miles on it with very little maintenance. Its becoming an old car, so naturally, it isnt as equipped as new cars with usb/ipod, navigation, lane-watch, etc. That being said, it is hard to find lots of features in this outdated 2001 accord. Back then, I am sure the standard features in this car were up to date and seemed fresh, even for the less expensive lx trim. With its durable engine, you can really push it which makes it fun. Has original clutch and brake rotors which still work like new. All I had to replace was a left front and left rearbushing on the sway bar

  • Great Value-Fun Car - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Have 3,500 miles now, so feel I can give a good posting on the car. This is my 5th Honda--and its definitely the best to date. Traded my V6 auto Accord to this 4 cyl. manual Sport model--really fun car to drive! Quick easy throws on the manual and the engine loves to rev in the high range. The car seems screwed together well--no rattles or initial problems with build quality. Easy to drive both city and highway--but ride is much firmer than my previous Accord. Having test driven the Mazda 6 (as this was the closest contender), I went with the Honda for features and value.....but it was a close call. Gotta say, not disappointed with my purchase at all--really have enjoyed the car.

  • So disappointed - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

I am disappointed mostly in the transmission. It is unnerving when you stop and the transmission lurches forward. It makes you feel like you, dont have control. My car is 2 months old and twice the check engine light has come on. The first time the dealer replaced the fuel pressure sensor. The very next day another check engine light. Something with too high voltage, so they reset it by switching a part from a car on the lot and then putting my part back in. The latest is the paint. Buy the paint protection, there is no clear coat on the car. I have owned many cars and never has bird poop marred the paint. It took the thin clear coat right off!

  • BMW wannabe - 2013 Honda Accord
    By -

Have 3000 miles on 2013 Honda Sedan, 6 spd trans. 60 years old and this is first Honda Ive ever bought, wouldnt be the last if they build them all like this. Very impressive car. Runs great, smooth firm ride, handles like a BMW. Getting 33 MPG average w/36+ on freeways. Looked at the Jetta but liked the different standard features on the Accord better plus the Accord had a longer wheelbase for the freeway. Had to get the upscale package on the Jetta to get the rear view camera and larger more powerful engine. Wife is mad, thought I was getting the coupe. Says she wont drive a granny 4 door car. Hard to look disappointed when you cant stop smiling.

  • do not buy - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I only signed up to this site to write this review. This car is a big dissapointment. very noisy on inside eco boost is horrible, you constantly feel it going on and off, felt like car was gonna break down, but mechanic and dealer said its normal to feel that eco boost jerking. Seats are very uncomfortable. you can feel every bump in the road. voice activation/recognition is pretty bad. I bought certified used, went back to the dealership in less then 2 months and traded it in. Yes it was that terrible

  • best car I have owned - 1996 Honda Accord
    By -

I have 427,000 miles on the Accord and have not had any major problems. I change oil at 7000 miles and use whatever I can find on sale. This car is a keeper.
