Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • Highly Overrated - 2004 Honda Accord

This is my first time owning a Honda, so far I have owned three Toyotas. I wanted to try something different, based on Hondas reputation and reviews. The car though is just OK, not at all "the best family sedan", as it is touted. Even with the V-6 engine, the acceleration is subpar. Where are the 240 horses? Probably sleeping! The transmission gets confused often, especially when exiting sharp turns and on inclines. I guess the reviewers should spend more than one day with a car before declaring it the best. How about the short 3yrs/36000 miles warranty? If the car is so reliable (supposedly), how come Honda does not stand by it for a longer time?

  • No better car out there - 2004 Honda Accord

Traded in Toyota Matrix (brand new) for the Accord Coupe LX, Manual. What a difference. Accord (4-cyl) performs like a 6-cylinder car. I love it. Before Matrix I had Golf 1.8T which wqas a good performer. Accord beats it no problem! The design is beautiful, inside and out. Although it is a coupe, it has enough room for 4 people. Super quiet and isolated from outside noise. When I showed it first to my friends, they thought it was a Mercedes!

I have never owned a Honda and I love my Accord! I am very pleased with what I got for my money as opposed to what else I have seen on the market.

My previous vehicle was a 1998 honda accord. I bought a porsha boxster convertable and that didnt even compare to the accord, unfortunatey the previous ownwer didnt keep up with the maitanance of the 98 accord, so the timing belts went. I just bought a 2004 accord and its so smooth. I t hugs the road when you drive in it,and I got the old car fixed and gave it to my brother. The porsha was sold because it didnt compare to the safety features of the honda. Honda will be the car I stick with for life, maybe one day I might switch to an acura though, but honda makes acura.Smile!

  • Excellent car, excellent price - 2004 Honda Accord

I started looking for a midsize sedan. I was surprised that the high quality Accord was one of the cheapest one with reasonable amount of equipment. ABS brakes are standard. I add A/C. It is a shame it does not includes powers locks. It should in this category! Drive it and you love it! The feeling is as my previous Lexus, very smooth that only expensive cars give. Although some experts think it lose originality because of the too quiet interior, I think it is a pleasure for the daily commute.

This is one of the best cars I ever had! I mean of all the cars I had. Runs great! No major mechanicals problems. Just Starter and battery. Beyond empress for this car! Talk about only 30$ on gas! I will never get rid of it is the best! Even if I decided by new car this Honda will always stay! Even though I bought as salvaged it was the best!

  • Fun To Drive....NO! - 2009 Honda Accord

Comfort, styling and most features are great, but why have 271 horsies under the hood if the take off from a dead stop is so sluggish? It performs great at highway speeds, but hesitates when taking off from a red light. Next Accord for me will be the 4 cylinder 190 HP version. The VCM 6 is a HUGE disappointment for me. Will trade this in as soon as possible!
