This Year's Model Updates:

As the model was fully redesigned for the 2003 model year, there are only a few changes on the 2004 Honda Accord. Availability of side curtain airbags has been expanded this year to four-cylinder EX models -- standard on those with leather, optional on cars with a cloth interior. All four- and six-cylinder EX models equipped with a leather interior now have XM Satellite Radio with three months of free service as standard equipment. And as with all Honda cars this year, a new seatbelt reminder system is standard. Accord models meeting California's stringent Partial Zero Emissions Vehicle (PZEV) standards -- all four-cylinder sedans equipped with automatic transmission -- will also be sold in the states of New York, Maine, Vermont and Massachusetts.

Pros:
  • Tight build quality, quiet cabin, refined and powerful engines, reputation for quality and durability, high crash test scores.
Cons:

Ive had my Accord for 2 weeks now, and I like it a lot. Ive had only one problem with it so far, and the dealer was able to fix it under warranty. I had a loud buzzing noise comming from my drivers door at highway speeds. Turns out that there was a screw loose in the door which required them to take it to apart to fix. After that everything is A - okay. I encourage New accord owners to tell the dealship about any quality issues with your car, the dealer I bought my car from was ready to deal with this issue and did so promtly. They even deatailed my car a filled the tank up for free, for my troubles.

  • Great Car But...... - 2004 Honda Accord

I really enjoyed the Accord, the 6 speed was great and the engine pulled hard. I was not happy however with the fit and finish. This is suppose to be a top of the line Honda and the car rattled like an old Buick. When it was cold the dash board made a clicking noise. The door panels always made noise, push on it and it went away. Great car otherwise, it needs a better quality control. While driving one day I heard a POP, it was the black trim piece that goes up the drivers door, it had come apart, easy fix, but it shouldn’t have happened.

  • Beware at the car wash! - 2004 Honda Accord

This was the most gorgeous, wonderful, incredible car I ever owned. I got many compliments on it too. It was 2 months old with 3,000 miles on it. A crackhead stole it from the carwash and wrecked it 2 days ago. I am completely heartbroken. I am getting another just like it ASAP. It was the best car ever!

By far the best Honda yet. The 5 speed is smooth and powerful. Great acceleration, and fuel economy.... Highly recommend it

  • Honda at its best - 2004 Honda Accord

I just purchased this car and I am very impressed. I have owned a few cars in my day (32) including this one and this is by far the most impressive for the money. I traded a 2001 Lincoln LS and there is no comparison. The Honda is built to last. The 4 cylinder motor is outstanding, spacious interior, nice ride, smooth transmission, and great gas mileage. If you are in the car buying market you must give this a test drive.

This car is awesome!! I did a ton of research and this car is by far the best deal for the money. The TL is too expensive and the TSX is too small. I love my Accord.

The feel I get from the 2 door Accords look is that of performance without bragging (I hate Mustangs for being the opposite). The controls couldnt be designed better. No other car even came close. The 4 cylinder engine has real climbing power at low rpms. The transmission is incredibly smooth, you can barely notice its switching gears. The seats are great, which helps when you are driving mildly fast in twisty roads. The handling and steering feel very nice, but I find it difficult to sense when the tires will finally give in.

  • The Best Car Ever - 2004 Honda Accord

To all who are looking into purchasing this car, GET IT! I was considering to purchase a luxury model vehicle and I found that all of the things that I was looking for in those cars were found in the Honda Accord. I actually saved myself $13,000 in financing based on the features and options found in the luxury models vs. the Honda Accord. And darn it, the car is just all of that!!

  • Excellent car, but creaking headliner - 2004 Honda Accord

Good points: many thoughtful interior convenience features; excellent center console design; excellent acceleration and handling; comfortable seats; great disc brakes; nice courtesy lights everywhere; powerful A/C and heating; in short, many more luxuries than my previous 96 Civic DX which was manual everything. Note: I purchased the Accord w/manual transmission intentionally because I love the control, and I like the Accords manual shifter as much as I liked my old Civics manual shifter. I really dislike automatics.
