Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Excellent car, but creaking headliner - 2004 Honda Accord
By RockvilleBear - October 26 - 3:30 pmGood points: many thoughtful interior convenience features; excellent center console design; excellent acceleration and handling; comfortable seats; great disc brakes; nice courtesy lights everywhere; powerful A/C and heating; in short, many more luxuries than my previous 96 Civic DX which was manual everything. Note: I purchased the Accord w/manual transmission intentionally because I love the control, and I like the Accords manual shifter as much as I liked my old Civics manual shifter. I really dislike automatics.

Yowzah! - 1997 Honda Accord
By dreddy - October 26 - 10:13 amBought with 9K miles after searching for 2 mo (5spd was hard to find). This is easily the most reliable vehicle I have ever had. Engine holding up well despite my frequent visits to redline and beyond. Fun to drive. Generally very happy with this car, but could use more power.

Buyer beware - 2013 Honda Accord
By noiseboy - October 26 - 2:22 amBuyer beware. Brand new 2013 Accord EX-L comes with an instrument panel that would make Star Trek fans drool but unless you get the 6 cylinder. IT CANT OPEN A GARAGE DOOR. Who thought that was intelligent design.

A Great First Car - 1995 Honda Accord
By accord745 - October 26 - 2:05 amNo mechanical problems at all since I purchased the car. Adding a few after market accessories, like new lights and wheels, make it look at home beside some current cars and a few engine tweaks make it run with them too. When I purchased the car 5 years ago, I compared it to Grand Ams, Civics, Corollas, Sentras, Cavaliers, Sunfires, etc and none of those cars could match the overall package of the Accord. The Accord offered the best combination of practicality (seats 5 passengers comfortably), fuel economy (28mpg), style, and fun-to-drive. Clearly, its the next best thing to buying a brand new Accord, and a great value for anyone looking to buy a first car.

Great at what it does - 2007 Honda Accord
By Accord SE - October 24 - 4:10 pmThe Accords have always been great family sedans. I did expect a little more from mine, but then again, the car is meant to be driven with assured safety and reliability. The brakes warped at 3000 miles and were replaced under warranty. AC fan is loud. Also, a loud thumping wind sound is heard when rear windows are opened ,and rough engine noises when accelerating. But none of this bothers as much as the firm ride. This is the payoff for better cornering, but unforgivable in the streets of New York. Stick with the Camry in cities with many potholes.

The worst midsize sedan available. - 2000 Honda Accord
By beemerboy147 - October 23 - 11:00 amI wouldnt reccommend this thing to my worst enemy. Outside, the design looks terrible and none of the panels are aligned properly. The sheet metal dents and bends very easily. The engine has no power, and runs with lots of drone and vibration, even on premium gas. Inside, materials are cheap. Period. There is plenty of road and wind noise, and poorly-sealed doors allow plenty of air to enter from the outside through the latch handles and window switches. The ride is stiff, and handling is lackluster at best. The interior is cramped, even up front. The backseat may be able to seat a Barbie doll, but it would be a tight fit. Reliability isnt that good either.

All I can say is "Its A Honda" - 2005 Honda Accord
By James - October 21 - 9:30 amI really thought hard about which car would be good for my wife and I. We both agreed that the Accord was the one for us. Not only is this a great car but its so comfortable for long trips. Its fast and so stylish. Its everything a car should be. Its a very dependable car. After having 1 Hondas we did think we should look at may another car and maybe give it a chance; but after all the great years with no problems we just had to tun around and get one more!!

Great car - 2005 Honda Accord
By Brandon - October 20 - 8:20 amI bought this car specifically for the interior. It is spectacular! Overall this is the best purchase I have ever made. A few quirky things to pay attention to before buying: 1. The navigation system is semi-complicated and cumbersome - It integrates the Audio controls and the A/C. 2. With the automatic transmission, there is a slight lag when you put the pedal to the floor and try to accelerate. 3. No 60/40 fold down rear seats. The back seats fold completely down, OR you can just fold the armrest down and put long things in from the trunk (works well for skis). 4. The sunroof controls are to the left of the steering wheel. Overall, I would highly recommend this car.
