Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Honda Converts! - 2005 Honda Accord
By RolTra - November 29 - 2:03 pmHaving ownen 8 cars with the time span of 10 years, I feel a bit experienced on what the middle class car lover would want in their next investment. Toyota always one step ahead, be it in styling, or toys, this year I was I was attracted to the Honda products and after test driving the Accord, was convinced the 2dr, roomy, sport yet elegant design was ALL me! This car has bought me over, and depending on long term performance and quality, I belive I am now a loyal consumer of Honda.

5 months and counting - 2005 Honda Accord
By Jan from WI - November 28 - 11:23 amMy 05 Accord turned over 10,000 miles this week & Im still very happy with my investment. This is my 3rd Honda purchase, 1st Accord. The reliability Ive experienced from my Hondas keeps me coming back & loyalty with the dealer keeps me getting a good deal. Since 1977 my family has owned a combined total of 7 Hondas with my latest purchase - I drove 5 of them. Honda was my first car & though Ive tried others, I know its the best value! I did a lot of research and drove a number of other vehicles, but I knew that Id be getting the best for my money from another Honda. Going from a 5 speed to an automatic worried me, but Im totally satisfied with the performance. GO FOR IT! REALLY

mild to wild....270k mi later - 1992 Honda Accord
By MikeyMeyagi - November 27 - 9:26 pmi got my accord for free from a buddy that was going into the marines. it had been neglected and abused, with 237k on it when i got it. still ran great and drove great. i liked it so much that i completely rebuilt it from the ground up. new paint, new interior, new suspension and brake systems, and a 430 hp turbocharged engine.seeing the look on peoples faces when this car will keep up with, or beat their much more expensive sports cars is priceless.

01 coupe w/ bad trans - 2001 Honda Accord
By kat - November 27 - 8:32 pmI bought this car with approx. 52K miles on it. The transmission went out around 60K and although it was under warranty, I am very disappointed that it needed a new one. It is having similar problems now with the new trans and a friend of mine with an 02 model had her trans replaced also. I think the car interior etc is of good quality (no squeaks or rattles) and the exterior is nice looking. The stereo is just "ok". All in all, I am ready to trade for fear of needing a new trans after the extended warranty runs out.

Drive Great - Not Japanese Anymore - 2005 Honda Accord
By Jim H - November 27 - 5:33 amThe Honda Accord is a blast to drive, and gets reasonable, if not great, mileage. Cost to own will be in line with Hondas of the past. Honda stands behind their cars, but I did NOT expect to find any Honda that had problems direct from the factory. My car had major window seal leaks, and water in the car after the first rain. The dealership promptly fixed, but left an indelible impression on my opinion of their manufacturing process, which in my previous 3 Accords and 1 Civic were NEVER at issue. Well see. Overall, an excellent car, and I hope to be able to write a different opinion as this car ages a bit. Jim, in Shawnee, KS

Solid All Around - 2000 Honda Accord
By Randy12567 - November 26 - 2:00 amThough Ive had several problems in the 2 yrs (30k miles) that Ive owned this car, including replacing the tranny (30k mi), front rotors (34k mi) side airbag sensor (35k mi), and the alternator (50k mi) I still think that its a steal for the price tag, especially since Hondas hold there value. Engine is powerful, handling is good, interior looks great, exterior looks attractive and sporty. Overall, I think that its probably the best car in its class, thou tranny is inadaquate for engine. Even with its flaws my Accord still runs extremely strong and the build quality is very good.

16 years old and still runs near new - 1990 Honda Accord
By Cruiser - November 25 - 8:15 amI purchased my 90 Accord on the advice of one of the dealers mechanics. Good move on my part! After 16 years, except for usual maintenance, all I have done is had the auto transmission rebuilt ($1200)and a radiator ($250). I still get 28-32 mpg. Some of the clear coat has come loose, but the paint gets a good rating from me too. Mine was made in Japan, not USA manufactured. I dont think it makes a difference. Overall rating 9! Would I buy again? Yes (but you do get what you pay for). If you plan on keeping what you buy, this is a good deal drive it til the wheels fall off. If you are going for flash and want to trade every few years, buy a Corvette.

Cute Little Tank - 1992 Honda Accord
By nurse607 - November 24 - 4:51 pmI got this car as a beater for 1500 dollars in 2004. Ive since put over 50,000 miles on it, and had only one mechanical problem that wasnt directly attributable to the infamous New York State snow rust. This thing has treated me so well, Ive gotten 5 times my money out of it in under 4 years. I never bought a foreign car until this one, and Im never buying anything but a Honda again. Every car Ive had, which were all American pieces of garbage, had so many problems and were built terribly. This car, and Honda in general, are made FOR the people, FOR the long run. This vehicle is no joke, and is no exception to that rule. I got lucky and got one with all the options&its over 200k miles!

Excellent car - 1999 Honda Accord
By Erickrocks - November 24 - 10:00 amWhat a great car. Coming from a 300ZX, I was used to a sports car. My 2dr V6 coupe has the power of my old Z (and more) but the comfort and room of a full size car. Just turned over 60200 miles in 3 years, and have had almost no problems at all. Handles well for a sedan type car (with high performance sport tires -- ditch the Michelens), comfy to drive, looks good, decent power, and a great value. Removed the stock airbox and put in a KN cone type air filter system...the motor sounds great!!
