Pros:
  • Ample passenger space, high-quality interior, above-average steering feel, high resale value, available coupe body style.
Cons:
  • Intrusive road noise, button-heavy center stack, some find seats uncomfortable.

  • Grand car for all - 2009 Honda Accord

Couldnt decide if I wanted the Audi A5 or this the price was holding me back but I figured I would let the car sell itself I am young at 22 and need a car that can fit my needs and is practical without breaking the bank. The Honda Accord is just this it is very impressive and sleek. I recommend this car to anyone around my age. The coupe that is. Read the safety reports received perfect for front side impact that is something that is very important to me.

I have owned this Accord for 7 months and overall its a very nice car. The interior is roomy, plenty of shoulder and leg room. The ride and handling are crisp with a bit of European flavor to it, though it falls just short of the total experience. The sound system is OK but tends to be shrill at times. Gas mileage has been acceptable but not particularly notable. The seats are firm, and at first I didnt care for them, but after a while I learned to appreciate that the firmness is really part of the overall ride and handling and you feel more attuned and attached to the driving experience. Acceleration is middling but OK. Smooth and almost transparent shifting. Great car for commuting.

  • Great Car! - 2009 Honda Accord

I love this car. I was not in the market to purchase, but my car decided to quit on me. I did a little research and narrowed it down to the Altima, Camry and Accord. This is the best of the three by far. There is plenty of room for my family and friends to ride with me. I have not had any of the problems in others reviews. When correctly adjusted, the seats are not uncomfortable to me. For a car that was less than 20K, I am very happy with the way it looks and drives.

  • Third Accord -- Love Em! - 2009 Honda Accord

This is a well appointed vehicle, given the price point. I hadnt planned to purchase a different car for about 2 years, and I didnt intend to purchase a new vehicle (had planned to buy a certified used Honda). But, given the feature set, the reliability, and the cost, I decided to take the plunge, and purchase a new one. I dont regret it.

  • DO NOT BUY THIS CAR!!! - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

I bought my 2009 Accord, and I HATE it. I have previously owned 2 civics and an Acura CL and this Accord is by far the lowest quality car of them all. After two months the paint on the front started chipping and Honda refuses to do anything about it. It has been the WORST customer service experience EVER. I am trading in the car after 6 months of ownership. Seats are uncomfortable and the car is expensive for the quality. Gas Mileage could be better. I get about 400 miles per tank, but that is 18 gallons of fuel. PLEASE do not make the same mistake I did, Honda has really let the quality consumers are used to go downhill.

  • Great Value for Less Dough - 2009 Honda Accord

I bought this car in December 2008 and I really enjoy it. They acceleration is great. There is a large back seat. You get a lot of bells and whistles on this car compared with other models: Acura TL, BMW 3 Series, Lexus ES330, etc for THOUSANDS less. Test drive it. Youll be pleasantly surprised. To get the best price, I emailed all my local area dealers and got internet pricing. Youd be surprised by the different responses.

  • Great all-round car - 2009 Honda Accord

This car will treat you well. Its comfortable, and its passenger volume is excellent for a coupe. Its huge trunk and folding rear seats make it practical as well. Hondas reputation for reliability has held up so far, however regular wear items like the tires are surprisingly expensive on this V6 model with 18" wheels. The car handles faithfully and has excellent traction if you have the original-spec tires. Theres a general sense of solidity to the car, even at seven years old and more than 100,000 miles, the interior doesnt squeak or rattle, wind noise is minimal, and the ride is still comfortable but taut, as a coupe with sporty pretensions should be. Speaking of which, straight line performance is staggering. This engine loves to be worked hard, and has a pleasing intake note. Low end torque is excellent, and power increases linearly to 5000 rpm, where there is a second wind due to the variable valve timing. When youre not working the car hard, it settles down nicely as a daily driver. Fuel economy in city and mixed driving is acceptable for a relatively heavy car with a big 3.5 liter engine. On the highway, two or three cylinders deactivate to improve fuel consumption, and Ive logged as high as 32 mpg. The navigation system is dated, but gets the job done. Disappointingly, bluetooth is only for calls, there is no way to pipe your music over the air. Over the aux connection, the stereos clarity and bass strength are impressive. Dual-zone automatic climate control is amazing, and frankly I dont think I could buy a car without it, now that Ive gotten used to it. The driver and passenger can set their preferred temperatures independently, to be maintained by the climate control. The front seats are comfortable and well bolstered and, when required, the back seats are capable of fitting two adults in satisfyingly comfortable conditions, though entry and exit are a little undignified. As for complaints, the transmission can be dim-witted at times, and reaches for higher gears earlier than I would prefer. When you demand full throttle for an overtaking maneuver, a second or two can pass until the transmission drops a couple gears and the full grunt of the wonderful engine can be used to effect. The interior trim is hard plastic and a pseudo-aluminum that seem cheap, although the fit and finish are stellar. Overall, the 2009 Honda Accord Coupe EX-L V6 is not only excellent value for money, but an excellent car outright, even at almost a decade old. Honda built the Accord Coupe better than it needed to be, and better than I expected. Its an ordinary car that makes me feel extraordinarily satisfied as an owner.

  • Best car Ive ever owned - 2009 Honda Accord

I really didnt want to buy a new car; but my 95 Volvo had reached the point where the repairs it needed exceeded its book value. So... There was no major decision in my purchase; all of the research Id done came up with the same two answers: Honda or Toyota. I drove a Civic and was appalled. I drove an Accord and was astonished. It handled like a dream. The I-4 motor was powerful, smooth and quiet. The 5- speed gearbox was a joy. Looks, compared with the Camry...no contest. The dark grey metallic paint...Oooh baby! At highway speeds, it will go about 500 miles on a tank of gas. I bought two Accords that day. The 2009 Im driving now...and the 2019 Ill replace it with.

  • Accord Gets Better - 2009 Honda Accord
    By -

The Ride is perfectly balanced not too firm and not too bouncy. The accord is between altima/6 and Camry/Sonata it terms of ride quality. 4 Cylinder pick up is more than adequate in this class. The Paint job is better than domestic cars. Does everything well. The seat is not too firm or rough.

  • What happened Honda? - 2009 Honda Accord

The drivers seat is very hard, and hurts the thighs. The Accord gets fair gas mileage. The carpet looks cheap I can see the lining of the carpet. The audio system sound is not very impressive. At 180 miles my brakes needed to by repaired, warped rotors. A lot of noise, road as well as rattles. My previous car was a 03 Honda Accord EX. Miss that car!
