Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Really disappointed - 2007 Honda Accord
By Billy - December 5 - 6:20 amWe were very excited about our first Honda. Words cannot express how disappointed I am with the car and with the dealership. The rear windows in the car have not worked properly since the night we got it home, dealership has replaced everything except the window pane itself and we are still having problems with it. The car makes a loud whining noise when moving in reverse, dealer claims its just regular brake noise. Fuel economy is great, but the quality of this car is awful. As soon as my head is above water Im going back to Toyota. A lot of my friends love their Accords, I think I just got a bad apple, which unfortunately tarnishes my entire image of Honda. Will never buy another.

Wow! - 2000 Honda Accord
By AmyM - December 4 - 7:16 pmAre you kidding me! This is the BEST car, dollar-for-dollar, on the road today. And you talk about holding its value, wow! Only the firm seats keep this car from being a perfect 10!

One sweet driving machine - 2007 Honda Accord
By Pat Z. - December 3 - 4:36 pmThis car is a pleasure to drive! It has all the power you need to do fast safe passing, to merge onto quickly moving urban highways with comfort and to have a little simple g-force fun. The idle stop engine is great for guilt-free driving on ozone alert days. The car creates its own serenity zone: no engine noise while waiting at stop lights, good road noise damping on rough, patched highways, and one sweet little sound system. I also like the fact that it has 4 cup holders for the front seat and dual climate controls. The fuel economy is quite good for such a powerful, fun-to-drive car. I wont say were saving money on gas though, because we do more driving just for the fun of it now.

Honda Accord Brake Problems - 2008 Honda Accord
By EX honda owner - December 2 - 8:53 pmFor those of you that have had rear brakes replaced at under 20K while the fronts have 11/32 or more what are you doing? A car is designed to use most of the front brakes to stop, almost 70% vs 30% rear. So whats the real problem. Hondas excuse is BULL, (NORMAL) My guess is that the rear emergency brake was never adjusted right from the factory thus inside pad wearing faster than the outside. Either way this is not normal and should be a defect and replaced by the factory. I drive 50K a year and had to replace the rears at 30K while the front had 11/32 left. For those that dont know 11/32 is new 2/32 in the min you should drive with. 11/32nds show very little brake use at 50K.

Very Solid Vehicle - 2001 Honda Accord
By OoltewahBoy - December 1 - 6:27 pmI love my Accord. I have a big V-8 truck and this is a nice change from it. It has 130,000 mile on it and it starts, runs, performs like it has 50,000 miles on it. The only complaint that I have is a bit of a strange shifting, driver window glass seems loose, and a slightly squeaky drivers seat. Otherwise excellent! I would buy another one.

Best Buy for Your Money - 2005 Honda Accord
By murf - December 1 - 9:43 amVery comfortable to drive...easy to get speeding tickets! Missing many features common with American autos (automatic lights etc.) but I gladly trade them for the Honda quality. 10,000 miles beween oil changes is a plus also.

Early problem with rear brakes - 2009 Honda Accord
By Asif - December 1 - 7:20 amI have owned Accord for close to 2 years now and it runs beautifully and I am very happy with my purchase. But there are 2 things, I would like to bring to other buyers notice. First, when it had about 20,000 miles, there was a cranky noise when you start it cold. Took to dealer and they changed the alternator for free. The other issue was noise from rear brakes and I had to finally replace them, with my own money. Feel it was too early for brakes to wear out and make noises (I am not an adventurous driver).

Great Little Car - 1991 Honda Accord
By Wonderful Car - November 30 - 6:48 pmBought this car used a second hand vehicle and wow, what a smart move. Only had to perform routine maintenance (oil and filter change, water pump, timing belt, tires, alignment). This car handles and looks like a sports car with phenomenal gas mileage (380 miles to the tank) and is UNBREAKABLE. Now has 194k miles and still going strong. Honda should have kept this body style around a lot longer than it did. It is a great car.
