Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Love the car - 2003 Honda Accord
By Tota1pkg - December 14 - 10:00 amreally cant complain... kinda weird getting 10,000 mile oil changes as the manual recommends. doenst sacrifice power for gas mileage, can accomplish both. i bought the car with the aero kit and spoiler, makes it look sooo much better. All complaints said, I would still buy the car.

2003 EX V6 Sedan - 2003 Honda Accord
By JoeNJ - December 14 - 10:00 amI am very happy with this selection. I test drove passat/camry/altima and this was the winner in quite a few categories. Price was important as was reliability. The car accelerates rapidly and drives so smooth at 80- 90mph (not that I drive that fast!). I like the styling, especially the leather interior and all the standard features of the EX V6. Made shopping much easier. I make excuses to have to drive it. One small problem with passenger seat heater that the dealer promptly fixed. Diligent mileage tracking has me at 21.5mpg (70% local/30% highway).

its worth the money - 2003 Honda Accord
By lynhnn - December 14 - 10:00 amIts nice to buy a Honda Accord again as I did it on all new 1998 version. You never go wrong with your money when buying a Honda Accord! High resale value above Camry and the likes after 4,5 years.

BAD CAR!!! BAD BRAKES!!! - 2009 Honda Accord
By CNASH - December 14 - 6:23 amI ABSOLUTELY HATE THAT I EVER PURCHASED THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE!!! I had brake issues after 5 months. The back brakes needed to be replaced, which is uncommon. Then I had more brake issues on the front two months after that. They dealership checked my brakes and told me that everything was ok, but theyre replacing my driveshaft and axles which absolutely makes no since. I will never by another Honda!!!!

Just bought it - 2006 Honda Accord
By Jim Suss - December 13 - 7:10 pmThe car seems built for an average height person. Being 6 6", I find it difficult to "fit" in a car. The center console seems low, the headrest too far down and the left door armrest is way too low. Considering I drove an Audi TT Quattro Roadster convertible for four years prior to buying this Accord, one would think I have tons of space and roominess now, but that is not the case. There was more leg room, seat room and arm room in the TT than the Accord. The Accord doesnt seem to handle well either, but that will take some getting used to, as its not a sports car. A great feature with the Accord is its reliability.

My Best Friend - 1996 Honda Accord
By s.macquaig - December 12 - 10:28 pmThis is my second Accord, I have 152,000 miles on the present one and I really do not ever want to get rid of it. I have only had to replace batteries and I have been faithful getting timing belt, etc changed on schedule. I was a home health rn. working out in the country and put many miles on it, son had it for 1 semester at college, this car drove me to Florida about 2,000 miles round trip when I evacuated New Orleans from Katrina.I have retired to northern Michigan 3 months ago,and "my best friend" now has nice warm garage and loves to drive on the snow! My son lives here also and after my luck with honda, bought a Honda station wagon from private owner 1984/186,000 mi+ runs like a top.

Buy for performance not fuel economy - 2005 Honda Accord
By Gregg021161 - December 12 - 3:01 pmI recently bought this model used with only 7200 miles on it. Forget about the 37/29 mpg ratings, I get 20 in the city and 32 when mostly highway driving. But the nice handling and smooth quiet ride made me decide to keep it. I also like the power and many included feature.

Great Commuting and Family Car - 2005 Honda Accord
By morg4163 - December 12 - 11:17 amI commute 180 miles a day round trip, since 10/05 this car has been reliable and not let me down at all. For the cost of the car, it is a great buy. Following Hondas maintenance guide, 3000 mile oil changes are NOT necessary, the book shows 9000 miles for normal use, 6000 miles for extreme conditions. This is the first foreign car Ive owned for quite some time, with my daily drive, it wont be my last. This car performs well on the highway and in the city.

A Performance Car - 2005 Honda Accord
By Lin Red - December 10 - 8:58 pmBought a new 05 HAH in Apr 06. Honda misjudged the # of cars they could sell and several were left unsold well into 06. I couldnt be happier, since I knew exactly what this car was. It was a Honda Accord EX-V6 with added power and better MPG. It was not a super high MPG car especially in the city. This car has all the Honda traits great build, quality and dependability. It gives about 25% better real world MPG in the city and highway. My 04 Acura TL gets 18 c/27 h, My 05 HAH gets 24 c/34 h. Very grateful for low emissions and uniqueness of this car. Drove my sisters 2007 TCH. Cost 29500+tax with similar features to HAH. TCH has very good city MPG. Like HAH most other respects.

The front seats ruin a fine car - 2009 Honda Accord
By howeda7 - December 10 - 8:36 pmThe front seats are simply the most uncomfortable Ive ever experienced. The lumbar plates that are part of the active head restraints are the primary culprit but even with them removed the seats are still awful. Im seriously considering trading this in after 5 months and 4,000 miles. Beyond this, its a fairly solid car. But the fuel economy is disappointing. Im only averaging 22-23 MPG with about 70% highway driving. At any rate, no matter how good the rest of the car is, you cant wait to get out of it at the end of every trip longer then 15 minutes, so what good is it.
