Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

Excellent overall sedan!! - 2000 Honda Accord
By Justin Espineli - December 20 - 8:23 amBought this vechicle used with 88,000 mi. Changed timing belt at 100,000 mi. Had problem with EGR valve and had it replaced by Honda. Other than that, car runs like new. Very comfortable for commuting, but this car really shines on the highway. Calm, poised ride with little road noise. V6 power is excellent mid-range(60-90 mph). Exterior styling is a little bland and stock stereo provides average sound quality. Interior materials are high quality and feel solid. Ergonomics are excellent. Previous car was a 92 Accord with 215,000 mi. I expect this car to last even longer. I definitely recommend the Honda Accord (new or used) to the potential buyer.

Lots of problems! - 2001 Honda Accord
By PghOwner - December 20 - 2:00 amAfter 9 months and 17K miles the transmission went. 5 months later brought it back with a squeek in the front end. Didnt find a problem, just lubricated some bushings. In Jan 03 the power steering started squeeling, took it in and the power steering rack was leaking and the whole thing needed replaced. Only had 42K miles on the car. Luckily Honda took care of the problem, or it would have cost $1250 to have it replaced. Took it back yesterday with another squeek in the front, and they said that it is the struts that are noisey. They arent leaking, just noisey. Cost to replace them $450.

Great Car - 1997 Honda Accord
By Rick S. - December 20 - 2:00 amThe best car I ever owned. I was in a major accident (was rear ended) when the car was 3 months old. Car was fixed and is still running better than many newer cars. At 117,000 miles everything except battery & brakes is orig. I hope it lasts for another 100K mi.

Honda Makes the Best Better - 2003 Honda Accord
By kgregson - December 20 - 2:00 amI am a long time accord owners, in fact this is my third. Honda Blew me away with this car! Honda outdid themselves this time. I expected good but damn, I am 25 and LOVE driving a family sedan. The accord has always been a good economical family sedan. Now, it is a sporty family sedan with the build, fit and finish of the best luxury cars out there. Great job Honda A+

Cant throw any rocks at it. Pebbles only - 2013 Honda Accord
By G - December 17 - 2:24 pmLeased the basic 4 dr, 4 cyl model three years ago and just cant find any faults whatsoever. Has never been in for service except for the routine maintenance. Going in, was worried about power, but CVT always keeps the engine in its power groove. Off the line its no tiger, but passing and going up grades its surprisingly strong. Even Vail pass (very steep grade), just keep it on cruise and it sings all the way up at whatever speed you chose. High 30s (mpg) on the road, in the 40s on segments, high 20s around town. Visibility, instrumentation, and electronics are great. Personal taste in quality and ergonomics might not suit everyone, but even for this basic model its been good enough for me. Only thing I can find fault with is the ride. Quite stiff, especially compared to the 2001 Accord coupe I came from, but have to say it corners flatter and handles better than the old 6 cyl model, even with aftermarket strut supports. Honda sound systems have never been too much to my taste, but its been adequate. As to safety, its in the body shop now from a rear-ender. Expected a lot more damage from the feel of the hit it took, but shop says rear bumper and dampers are only replacements. A bit of superficial damage to trunk lid (SUV hit me), but trunk works fine as do all other functions. Front bumper will be buffed out (hit pushed me into car in front, another SUV - shows force of hit). The collision and inherent visibility factors from driving in SUVland (Colorado) have me considering something taller, maybe an older Pilot, but fully expect to buy it out at termination of lease for its overall fulfillment of my personal needs. Does great in snow, by the way (as have all my prior Hondas). Just reading the reviews for all the other makes and models on this site keeps me defaulting back to this make. Have owned a string of Hondas for a very long time, peppered with lots of other makes and models, and just cant find anything else, on the whole, more reliable to the basic needs of transportation, across the board.

Great Car, Great Price - 2003 Honda Accord
By mecobb - December 14 - 10:00 amThis is one masterful car with a great price tag. With the options on the EX V-6, it could be easily priced at 30K instead of 26K. I am extremely impressed with the handling, braking, and overall performance of this vehicle. The interior is well planned and is very user friendly. The ride is not as appealling as the Toyota Avalon; however, the overall performance is much better in my opinion. This is a solid car with a solid reputation and I would highly recommend test driving the new Accord EX before placing any money on the table.
