Honda takes a bold leap for 2005 with the introduction of the Hybrid Accord. Rather than add a hybrid motor to its four-cylinder, Honda bolts its third-generation IMA system to the Accord's already-potent V6. In one fell swoop the Accord hybrid has become the class leader in fuel economy (30 city, 38 highway) and power (255 horsepower). Other changes for the 2005 Honda Accord this year include new wheel cover designs for the LX and EX trims, a new coin pocket design, illuminated steering wheel controls and improved rear styling in sedans with redesigned taillamps. In addition, front-seat side airbags and full-length head curtain airbags are now available on all trim levels all the way down to the base DX model.

I love my Honda - 2005 Honda Accord
By jpf26 - November 17 - 7:43 pmThis is the first time I have ever owned a Honda. I have to say that I am very happy with my Accord. I love it! It has good fuel economy and a lot of power when you need it. The navigation system is excellent, voice command is excellent as well. I will never own another car with out voice command navigation. The Accord is very roomy, very comfortable, it is extremely quiet inside the car too. I noticed this over several other cars that I test drove.

By Maximum Accord - November 15 - 11:16 pmLove it! This WAS my first Honda. My wife and I commute 50 miles one way to work and have already racked up 20000 miles since May 2005. Best handling car Ive driven in the snow and ice. We are so happy with the Accord we bought two used Hondas since this purchase. A 97 Hatchback Civic for my 16 yr old daughter and a 91 Prelude for myself. Both have 100K on the odometer and run great. IM SOLD!!!!!!!!

By Ghassan - November 10 - 1:26 pmThis car is great, if anyone is thinking of buying a great car thats reliable and reasonble priced, you should think about buying a Honda Accord because its know for its great reliability and also it wont depreciate its value like domestic cars and for a 2.4 Liter 4 Cylinders that produce 160 HPs and 161 pound/FT. torque its very fast and fun to drive.

Great Choice - 2005 Honda Accord
By autonutt - October 19 - 9:16 pmWe like the secure handling, comfortable highway ride and reserve power when needed. With full load of luggage and passengers, the car handles very well and provides excellant gas mileage. A/C, sound and convenience features are fine. Sloping hood seems to invite stone chips and one minor rattle in the passenger door are only problems so far.

Great car and good value - 2005 Honda Accord
By Brant - October 10 - 12:33 pmI have owned many cars and just turned in my Nissan SER off of lease. I also own a Mini Cooper S. Planned on another Nissan but drove the Accord for comparison. The Hondas refinement, room, and economy won me over. Plenty of room for 4 large adults. Fuel mileage (More than one half highway) has never dipped below 30 mpg. The 160 horse 4 cyl with the 5 speed is very smooth and peppy enough for most situations. The leather interior is high quality and everything is well thought out. A large friend spent 2 hours in the back seat on a recent trip and commented that he is going to seriously consider this car to replace his old Camry. He is interested in a new TL but not at $10K more $.

By Ryan - August 21 - 6:26 pmThis is a great car! i am very happy with my purchase. I looked at the nissan altima, 350z, mustang gt, and knew this was it. i traded in a 01 mustang gt conv. I am very happy with my decision. Its almost as fast as my mustang, handles very well, and looks great. I love the sunroof and the navi. The design is great. Gas mileage is a bit disappointing. right now im averaging 18.2 mpg but i have been doing a lot of sitting and driving through neighborhoods looking for homes. I also i live in Phoenix so you need to use the dual zone climate control a lot(110 today)! This car is very smooth and fast. I got a ticket on the way home from the dealership (70 in a 55 on the fwy). GREAT CAR!

Excellent Vehicle - 2005 Honda Accord

I am not too impressed with the Accords body style however when you buy a Honda you buy it for the reliability and that is what this car is reliable. Its unfortunate that GM & Ford are shutting down plants but maybe they could learn a thing or two from the engineers at Honda.

I love it - 2005 Honda Accord
By karmaxdust - July 26 - 1:50 amI purchased my car a couple of weeks ago (12/20/2004). Im only 24 and this is my 2nd car so I have not had that much experience in driving other cars. But after owning a civic, the accord is just no comparison. I love everything about it. Interior design is great, and its fun to drive. However I do not like how they designed the back of the accord but its still a great car.

After 15000 miles - 2005 Honda Accord
By undertoad - July 3 - 5:16 amMy first review was in May @ 1000 miles. In September did a long haul tour (26 states and Canada). Overall in all kinds of driving conditions we averaged 33+ MPG (city, mountains, heavy traffic, open road). I have a JPEG foto of the Nav Information Screen; 9/22-9/22 Trip - 480miles Elapsed Time - 6:27 Average Fuel Consumption - 38.7 MPG Average Speed - 74.6 MPH Nav sys is fine for working around unfamiliar metro areas. When you have local knowledge you see that many suggested routes are crude, round about, and just plain wrong. Lot of out-dated data in the NAV database. Local post office moved 10 years ago but still in old location.
