Overview & Reviews
Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.
You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

The Accord coupe has it all!! - 2000 Honda Accord
By lphantom7 - February 6 - 2:00 am2000 Accord Coupe EX. You get a lot for your bucks and that comes with the Honda reputation of reliability. Performance is top notch, from steering and road feel to acceleration on highways. This is the most well thought out interior I have ever experience. All the controls and buttons are well placed and visually uncluttered.

Saved A Life - Literally - 2008 Honda Accord
By Kevin - February 5 - 4:26 pmA great car for teens. My brother, an 18 year old, was traveling at 40 mph down a road. Someone ran a stop sign in a large SUV going around 60 mph and they both plowed into each other. Both cars were totaled, but the Honda was so safe that no one inside was injured. The car never had a problem, mechanically or otherwise. It was well priced and drove well. It had a smooth ride and had great pickup. A real head turner. On the inside, it was for the most part comfortable and luxurious. We are going to buy Honda for life because of our excellent experience with the car. It saved a teens life. When the police arrived, they thought it was fatal. Note: incredibly easy to park.

Great car, but Id go with Acura - 2008 Honda Accord
By Chris Smith - February 4 - 12:20 pmI purchased this car in January of 08. The pros: Stunning good looks. People everywhere tell me it looks like a BMW 6 series coupe. Great pick up (V-6 Version) and good handling. User friendly interior design. Cons- Doors seem light and flimsy when you shut them. Some small, but annoying rattles when you drive. New brakes squeak when slowing down. The VCM (Variable cylinder management) seems to lurch forward when the Economy mode kicks in and out of operation. Overall a great car. Its a Honda. However, being a previous Acura TL owner, Id cough up the extra $3-5K and get the Acura over the Honda, especially over the sedan Honda. The Honda coupe is sharp- Get the V-6 though!

My Baby - 2002 Honda Accord
By PSU98 - February 1 - 10:07 pmThis was my first new car bought in 2002. I could not be happier with the purchase. It seems to run as well as the first day I owned it, and it now has over 50,000 miles. I plan on owning it for at least 5-7 more years. The handling is outstanding. The power is not overly impressive, but very adequate for daily driving. Passing on the interstates is not a problem. Another strength is the resale value, which reflects the outstanding build quality of this car. I just feel smart owning this Honda. A great blend of economy and reliability.

am I missing something? - 2008 Honda Accord
By carfan - February 1 - 2:10 pmAs a previous 05 v6 EXL owner I was excited when I first saw the new 08 Accords. We purchased a V6 EX-L after a 3 minute test drive as our replacement "beater/mileage drive to the city car" (My signifacant other and I also drive an 08 BMW535xi and an 07 E350) For slightly under $28K this new Accord sucks! Road noise on even the slightest bumps, uncomfortable ride, hollow tin-ny sounding and poor material quality on the interior. We have been huge fans of the Accords since the 86-89 series and feel this is by far the worst example and no doubt our last. I know we cant compare to our other cars but this car has really gotten "cheap" feeling. This car is not a keeper for us.

Good Car - 1995 Honda Accord
By Bulldogsfan23 - January 31 - 10:10 pmIve had my honda for over 4 years. It is very reliable. Havent had a single mechanical problem. The power window have been really slow since I bought it and now the driver side window will not work at all. My car has been stolen twice now so I think I might get something else. Other than that it is a great car.

Love my Honda - 2001 Honda Accord
By Joseph Smith - January 31 - 2:00 amGreat car, plenty of room, economical, and fun to drive. Has all the features I care about. Very nice styling, and very easy to drive. I have the 4 cylinder engine, and it has more than ample power.

The Best Car Ever - 2003 Honda Accord
By icrant - January 31 - 2:00 amI am very excited with the 2.4L iVTEC engine. With 66.7 HP/liter @ 5500rpm this is the best engine in its class (not talking here about BMW). The fuel economy is incredible (9.6/6.5 - automatic transmision). I am not planing to change it in the next 10 years.
