Model Overview:

Few vehicles from overseas manufacturers have garnered as much respect in North America as the Honda Accord. It hasn't achieved this status by being glamorous, sexy or thrilling. Instead, Honda just seems to have its finger on the pulse of what Americans value most. Take an Accord for a spin and you'll find it to be comfortable, roomy, intelligently engineered and easy to drive. It's also backed by strong resale value and a solid reputation for reliability.

You'll find that certain competing sedans and coupes are quicker, more prestigious or simply less expensive than the Accord. What's special about the Honda Accord, though, is its completeness. It scores well across a broader range of categories than practically any family-friendly sedan or coupe on the market. When examined from this holistic standpoint, it's easy to see why the Accord has become an automotive icon and remains one of our editors' top recommendations.

  • The coupe should have worn an Acura badge - 2008 Honda Accord

OK, compared to some cars, it may seem underpowered, but the reward comes at the fuel pump. Fun is still a standard feature with the Manual Transmission. Absolutely no regrets here. Got my Acura CL without the high price...

  • Ownership after 2 Years - 2005 Honda Accord

Best car I have owned. The interior design is excellent. No squeaks, rattles etc. Gas mileage has averaged in the 27-30MPG range in mixed driving. Zero problems. Just regular maintenance intervals thus far. Even as newer models of competition have hit the market I have no regrets.

  • Excellent - 2004 Honda Accord

Since the first day at the dealership I have loved my Honda. Hondas have been in my family for years and we cant see ourselves driving anything else.If I could have afforded two I would have bought another but for now one is enough.

I have had this car for a few weeks, and just love love it,we could not be more pleased, we had been looking at a C230 Merc, and for the money the Accord was the best car by far, The Dealer was outstanding, MILE HIGH HONDA in Denver CO. The MSRP was 26K, we reached a price at 24K, the salesman was great, the dealer has also called twice to see if we needed anything, a big change from my last car dealer (VW).

  • 27 Month of Ownership - 1998 Honda Accord

Since owning the car, it has been reliable But know with 110K, it is starting to nickel and dime me. Both rear wheel hub assy $200.00, starter $200.00, and ignition key assy $150.00. Transmission is starting to act up. Normal maintenance, timing belt change at a cost of $450.00. both rear rotors and brake pads $175.00. It seems at 100K plus the reliability goes away and become just another average car. looking to trade off on BMW 3series or Toyota Camry.

  • Great car with minimal repairs - 1996 Honda Accord

I got this car when my dad was disabled in 2001. He had kept it in the garage with 7,500 miles. Six years later and 181,500 miles later (it has 189,000 now...mostly highway miles) the car has held up. I just replaced the struts and rotors and got new brakes. I also did the usual coolant change and transmission fluid change and had to replace two cv joints. The engine seems to purr now, I guess it is just breaking in! I plan on driving this thing for a long time. The body is in excellent conditions with one scratch and a small ding and the paint still shines when I wash her. I plan on seeing if this things will last me for another 80,000 miles.

The new 06 model is simply slick and look much more dynamic than the last model.

  • 05 Accord Lx 4-cyl - 2005 Honda Accord
    By -

Looks really dressed up after the purchase of 17 inch wheels to get rid of factory wheel covers, tinted windows, and spoiler added. To be a 4cyl automatic, car doesnt do bad in the city, real well on highway, very stable at above posted speed limits. No complaints from this car, only reg maintenance, oil changes etc, no problems, avg 25 city, have gotten 36 on highway.

  • VCM ruins it - 2008 Honda Accord
    By -

I am so disappointed in this car. The VCM system has basically ruined what would otherwise be an exceptional car. Contrary to what Honda says, the VCM transitions are NOT seamless, and IS noticeable to the passengers. I am not optimistic about Honda fixing this, and am ready to take a loss intrading the vehicle in on something different with only a few hundred miles on it. My 07 Accord V-6 is a vastly superior vehicle.
